Fur Coats and God Talk

After some sweet talking and coaxing Clovis convinced Kyera to let him help her into her dress. Once the long flowy under dress was on, he helped her into a warm, snug red bear coat and tied the belt around her waist. He even rebraided her hair before adding the red fur hat that would keep her head warm.

"This is a lot of fussing…" Kyera sighed in her most exasperated tone. However, that annoyance didn't reach those golden eyes which glowed like an angel's, twinkling with delight. Clovis smiles and kissed her forehead, pulling his newly bundled up wife into his arms, resting his chin on her head.

"Too bad. I want to take care of you, and cherish you like the perfect princess you are. Let me love you while I can." Clovis added as he soaked in the warmth of their embrace. Kyera's heart shuddered as she feared what could have happened had she not stopped that ball of light. Her arms circled him, holding him close to her. She would protect him with everything she had.

He met her eyes concerned "Are you sure your okay to fly? I can go get the kids if I need to." He offered for what must have been the 50th time since she started getting dressed. Kyera sighed and gave him a meaningful look that was very clearly not having it. There was a look between spouses that must have been handed down from the very first wife to communicate to her husband that if he asked that question one more time it would cease to be cute. This very look was the very one Kyera gave Clovis now.

"I will be fine. Gale has to be hungry and you can't take milk with you, it will freeze in this weather. I maybe feeding him an ice soup as it is."  Kyera's momentary lapse into crude humor was something Clovis found adorable. The lack of perfection was slowly becoming his ultimate perfection as he strapped on his big bear fur coat. It fit him well and looked sleek, all the soft fur inside, pressed against his skin and the smooth black leather warding off the winter winds.

"Should we grab you a blanket for the flight?" Clovis's innocent question made the tiger within Kyera twitch her tail. Kyera's eye twitched at the same time but she sighed as he picked up the warm purple blanket she loved and gave her the sweetest, wicked handsome smile she loved.

"Come on… you know you want it… it's your favorite blanket." Clovis teased her and Kyera cursed herself as she instinctively reached for the blanket and wrapped the soft blanket around herself in a warm, cinnamon smelling cocoon.

"You will manage to love me to death." Kyera accused him with the blanket wrapped around her in a way that only her palm sized face peeked out. Clovis smiled and kissed her cheek.

"At least then I won't have to worry about you cause you will be your brothers job, and they can say I didn't take care about you.." Clovis replied and Kyera

She stared at her husband for several seconds at a loss for words. What could she say to that? So instead she followed her husband to Ivory in the gardens.

Near the Gates of Moria

"Father was that what I think it was?" Kendrick asked his eyes filled with fire as he stared at The Shadow King. There Was clearly something wrong, but he had no idea what.

"Yes, your sister nearly broke through to full Goddess." He confirmed his son's suspicions. Kendrick's frown deepened.

"That can't be possible. We are only Demigods…" Kendrick tried to deny, though he knew what he had seen fit with his father's words. She had way too much power swirling around her.

"I know, she was born Demi Goddess. However unlike you four brothers she did something none of you every had. Honestly, something your 3 previous siblings had never done. She took her own path to power without ever meaning to… both part of Moria and Part of the Forest. I do not know what the Goddess Mother is planning but...its fair to say your sister will need you, Kendrick." The Shadow King said clearly there was something on his mind. The elders… The Goddess Mother…. What were they planning and why had he been left out?
