I looked up at the father of my son in fear. "What did you do Jamie?" I asked again my throat dry. "Untill you hand Alasdair over to Clair and myself. The lives of men you ensnare will be cut short." He said befor walking away. Why would he this isn't the Jamie I know. No I will not stand for this. Slowly standing up I go gather some items. Murtagh is not far from here. I will just have to stay with him to figure this out. I help Jenny threw out the day. She told me where to go and how to get there. "Iris I want you to know she will never be to me as you are. You are my kin nothing will change that. Take care of wee Alasdair and yourself." She said hugging me. "What's all this about shouldn't you be tending to my son." Clair smirks "Fuck off Clair Alasdair came from me. I hope he regrets this for rest of his days. There is nothing worse for a man than having a plain wife." I said making her walk away. Jenny sent word to Murtagh who would meet us at the bridge. Under the blanket of night Alasdair and I slipped out of Lallybroch. Murtagh was waiting for us with Dougal. "Come lass we don't have much time. We need to make distance from here to Leod." Dougal said shame in his eyes. Murtagh got up sitting infront of me. "rest the lad against my back. he won't bounce as much. I also want you to hold on to me." I nod and do as he said. We road threw the night only stopping to water the horses. I just hope we will be at Leod before Jamie finds us.

Jamie pov

I woke the next morning hearing Clair scream. I rush to Alasdair's room fearing Iris did something to him. "Jamie their gone." Clair said looking sad. I don't blame Iris for running to be honest I wanted her to. least I can now focus on Clair and not feel guilty. "Let her go Clair it was probably harder for her. She is nothing to us now." I said holding her. "what about your son?" she asked sadness in her voice. "What son Clair I don't have children." I said I then heard a gasp from the door way. "She was right to leave then brother." Jenny said before storming off.
