Hojo tried to free himself but it didn't work when Nesiara says, "John with me. You children stay out here."

John and Nesiara entered the control room and justice tainted the windows so they couldn't see inside while saying, "I downloaded and destroyed everything Shinra had digitally."

"Good job," says John as he petted Justice before he disappears again.

"Now what do we do with him. He isn't really important for the timeline except for appearing once in a while to give some hints that we can give ourselves," says Nesiara as Queen appears in her hand.

"How about we question him out first," says John as a scalpel appears in his hand before saying, "I trained a bit my skills after Oberon."

"What are you going to do?" asks Hojo nervous as he saw the weapons when both turned towards him.

"We are discussing of killing you or torture you before doing so," say both at the same time as Hojo was now a little pale while thinking of a way to escape.

Suddenly he rushed towards the console and pushed some buttons when he says, "Everyone now knows that you are here."

He looks at both but they begin to laugh when Nesiara says, "You think that the console still works as it should."

"The console is offline. Since we took Aerith out of her cell," says Nesiara as her spear tip got closer to Hojo.

"I surrender," says Hojo as both smiled at him making him feel shivers run down his spine.

"It's too late to surrender," says John as his scalpel suddenly runs down Hojo's face making a clean cut appear on his face.

Hojo begins to scream and the people outside hear him but couldn't see inside when Aerith looks a bit sad about it when Yui says, "Don't feel bad about it. Sometimes you need to resolve things that way."

"What are they doing inside there?" asks Tifa as Yui remembers that something like that happened before but she was too young back then when John was left alone with Oberon.

"I think they are torturing him to find out every last bit that is important. My father's family is quite good at securing information in any way possible and torture is the specialty of one of his uncles. I remember him walking out of the basement full of blood once. Neither of both wanted to explain it to me and told me it was only red paint," says Yui as all in the room became pale from hearing that while Red XIII curled up while shivers run down his spine.

"Remember me to not offend your parents ever again," says Barret as it was already a painful memory losing one hand and began to think, 'How much pain must be Hojo feeling right now.'

In the meantime downstairs, Cloud and the twins were fighting against a monster that was towering over them by quite a lot as Kieron went head-on against it making it impossible for it to fight as he immobilized it.

Cloud and Nora, on the other hand, were taking out its minions that came out of the other containers.

"How about going faster. The others are waiting for us upstairs," says Kieron as he had no trouble holding the monster in place while throwing him around once in a while.

"It would be easier if you could break the jaw off the giant monster so the little ones wouldn't come to help," says Cloud as Kieron the let's go off one side and hits the monster exactly at the jaw pulverizing the Jawbone on that side.

The under part of the monster's face was now only hanging lose as the monster cries in pain when Nora appears from above and pierces her sword into the skull of the monster killing it.

"You really take the fun out of everything," says Kieron as Nora looked at him seriously.

"Like you said we have no time," says Nora as she rushed at the minions of that monster with Kieron.

They take them out and Cloud says, "The elevator."

"I already called it," says Nesiara as the door opens and they enter it.

Kieron pushes the button and they take it up when Cloud asks, "So what will you do when you see Aerith?"

"I don't know yet. We aren't really a pair after all," says Kieron as he turned red making his sister laugh while Cloud had a little smile on his face.

"Come on big guy. I know that you will at least hug her for a long time," says Nora as she made her brother feel even more embarrassed.

The door opens and they find the group looking quite pale and a red monster curled up as if it was scared of something when they approach and Nora asks, "What's going on?"

But then a scream could be heard coming from the room that had tainted glasses. Cloud draws his sword as Kieron stops him.

"What are you doing?" asks Cloud as the others shake their head at Cloud.

"It's John and Nesiara that are torturing Hojo," says Barret as he was feeling sick from hearing it for a while now.

Cloud put his sword away as he looked at the red beast and asks, "And that is?"

"Red XIII. He is a friend," says Aerith as she presented Red XIII to everyone.

"Did they treat you right?" asks Nora as she hugs Aerith.

"Just some threats nothing more," says Aerith as she smiled again. Then she turned towards Kieron and opens her arms waiting for his hug.

Kieron walks over and hugs her while whispering, "Next time I will be faster."

Aerith was quite happy from hearing that as she kisses his cheek before whispering back, "You should, I was a little scared."

Suddenly the door of the control rooms opens and Nesiara, as well as John, comes out of it and sees them hugging when Nesiara says, "I thought your relationship wasn't that deep yet."

Both separated rapidly making the mood shift for the better when John says, "We have our priority target now let us go and get to the secondary target it's right behind the console room. We take it up and there it should be."

"Which secondary target?" asks Barret as Tifa and Cloud looked confused too.

"Jenova," says John when Cloud and Tifa became pale.

"That can't be. It should have been burned down in Nibelheim with the Reactor it was living in," says Cloud as John shakes his head.

"Shinra came at time to transport it from Nibelheim to Midgar," says John as Tifa suddenly wanted to say something when John says, "Yes, he came for her. Hojo told us that Sephiroth was in the building."

"That can't be," says Kieron as John stops him from saying more.

"What does Kieron mean with 'That can't be'?" asks Barret as he was nervous.

"He is in the North or at least his body is but his mind is in the Lifestream..." says John explaining to them that Sephiroth was controlling the Lifestream when suddenly Cloud's eyes looked like they were dead.

Cloud began to move as he entered the control room. The others noticed it and Tifa grabs him by his shoulder when Cloud suddenly says, "Mother."

"What is going on?" asks Tifa looking at the couple and John walks over and knocks Cloud out surprising everyone when Tifa says angry, "What are you doing."

"Saving his life," says John as he carries Cloud on his shoulder and asks, "Aerith or Red do you know a place where we can rest for a while?"

"Yes, my former room. But it's downstairs," says Aerith as John nods.

"It's better than the floor," says John as Tifa still looked at John angrily.

"He had to do that. Cloud, as well as others, can be controlled by Sephiroth because they have Jenova-Cell implanted in them," says Nesiara explaining it to Tifa who now looked calmer.

"Who would do such a thing?" asks Tifa when Nesiara pointed into the control room.

"Hojo experimented on many people. You already saw a failed experiment in the slums. But there are others that were successful in Hojo's eyes like Cloud and other people. The others have a number tattooed on their body representing the order of who was first and so on," says Nesiara as she put a hand on Tifa's shoulder to calm her further down.

"Tifa come with me. Kieron, you too. I need some backup. Aerith show me the way," says John as he carried Cloud.

"We will follow shortly after," says Nesiara as John takes the lift down with Kieron, Aerith, and Tifa.

They arrive downstairs and Aerith showed them the way as they passed at some rooms and arrive at Aerith's former room. John puts Cloud down when Tifa asks, "Can't you do something about this?"

"I could but that would be ugly," says John as he looked at Tifa seriously.

"How ugly?" asks Tifa worried about Cloud.

"He wouldn't be the person but just a husk of his former self. He will feel nothing and would be emotionless like a robot. He will talk but it would feel like you are talking to a person without a soul," says John as Tifa looks at him.

"Isn't there another way?" asks Tifa as John nods when she says, "And why aren't you using that method."

"It needs time and we will have the time once we leave Midgar. He needs to get stronger that way he will automatically be able to push Sephiroth out of his head," says John as he takes a look at Cloud.

"But he will need a protector until that time comes," says John as he looks back at Tifa and continues, "Will you be his protector until then."

"I will," says Tifa as John pets her head.

"Good, then you will have to train harder than him. I will smith something good for you while working on a cure for Cloud," says John as Tifa looked surprised at John.

"You thought that I meant be his protector for his life as a wife and husband, didn't you," says John as now Tifa was getting red from that revelation when John petted her again while saying, "I will root for you."

"Thanks," says Tifa as she looked over Cloud while John turned around seeing the wall that was painted showing a picture made by a young girl while Aerith returned with Kieron and the other group as they waited for Cloud to wake up.
