Farewell and Celebration

John and Nesiara appeared in Godot's courtyard and John cleans himself using a spell before finding Erica training martial arts that Nesiara taught her.

"You are back," says Erica as the couple smiles at her

"We are but not for long," says Nesiara as she hugged her student.

"So you are leaving again," says Erica sad as the couple nods.

"Yes, but we will return. We always return to visit our friends and you, Erica, aren't only a friend but also my student. So expect me to come out of nowhere to test you," says Nesiara with a smile on her face.

"This is not a goodbye but a see you later," says John to Erica as he also smiled at Erica while seeing Godot at the door smiling towards them.

Darkness appeared underneath John and Nesiara and they were slowly dragged into it until they disappeared completely.

They appear in the living room of the Crownguard Mansion in Edge when John asks, "How much time do you think has passed since we left?"

"I don't know. It could be almost 2 months or just some minutes. You know Logan, he doesn't like to waste too much time," says Nesiara as she walked towards the hall with John.

"Let's find them and find out," says Nesiara when both were suddenly surprised by the group that prepared their welcome back party.

Everyone was there even Cid and Shera, who were supposed to be in space right now. The couple walked forward and the group released confetti over their heads while shouting, "Welcome Back!"

"Now that is a surprise," says Jack as he was holding a drink in his hand.

"Let us celebrate that we are all gathered together again," says Yui as she was holding a glass of orange juice instead of a glass full of alcohol.

Everyone had a glass in their hand as they all celebrated the return of the family. John and Nesiara were talking with their friends. Nora already had time to talk to them all and presented to them Celine and Legolas if Yui or Kieron didn't.

John was seeing Zack leaning against a veranda holding his glass while looking at the night sky. He approaches Zack and leans against the same veranda saying nothing.

"You know, I always thought I was the only hero of this world," says Zack as he took a sip of his drink.

"*chuckles* That's how I always feel until I meet with the person that should be the hero of their world. I should have helped you back then as I helped Cloud but I was too suspicious of you because you had to be dead and not alive. And your story how you were saved by one of his clones," says John as he takes a sip of his drink.

"But it was wrong from me to not help you when I should have. Anyway, what are you doing now?" asks John as he looked at Zack.

"I am a mercenary helping the people for a meal or a bit of coin as I travel the world helping the people that need my help," says Zack as he smiles into the sky.

"How was the last world? I heard that there was a bug war," says Zack looking at John.

"There was but I was not involved in it. All the spoil goes to my children and our friends. They fought bravely while I and Nesiara were escorting someone to destroy the purpose of the war. We lost Bran, you would have liked him," says John as he takes a sip from his drink.

"I heard he is in another world," says Zack as John nods.

"Yes, but we don't know in which one he is," says John as he looked at the sky.

"But on one of those worlds out there my son is still alive," says John with a smile.

"At least he sacrificed himself for something he believed in," says Zack as John nods.

"He did but the pain I felt was quite real. Once I encounter him again, he will get have res ears," says John as he smiled.

"From scolding or from using the force?" asks Zack as John looked at him.

"Both," says John as he turned to the party inside.

"We should join them and enjoy the moment," says John as he walks back inside.

"I will be right behind you," says Zack as he followed John inside.

John walks into the room when Cid grabs him and drags him away while whispering, "We need to talk about something the others don't know of yet."

"What do have to say, Cid?" asks John curious about what Cid wanted to tell him.

"We found life on one of the planets we landed to explore," says Cid surprising John.

Cid saw how John opened his eyes wide from hearing that when Cid continues, "We landed on the planet and we found out that they were people like you and me. They were fighting against a Witch but we retreated as fast as we arrived there."

"A Witch?" asks John as Cid nods.

"Yes, they were almost as advance as us. I remember that the person I talked to had a sword that resembled a gun," says Cid as John summoned a book and showed Cid a Gunblade.

"Did he use such a weapon?" asks John as Cid nods.

"Aye, it looked a bit different but yes almost the same design," says Cid as John smiled.

"So my theory was true. All of the Final Fantasy Games play in the same Universe," says John confusing Cid.

"Final Fantasy?" asks Cid as John nods.

"In my world, this world is known as Final Fantasy VII and the world you went to could be Final Fantasy VIII or Final Fantasy XIV. They both have Gunblades since they are unique in their worlds," says John with a smile.

"You should take Zack with you and return to that world and help them if you can," says John as he looked at Cid.

"I'm an explorer, not a fighter," says Cid as John looked at him seriously.

"Really, we both know how strong you are. If we never came to this world it would have been you that would have held the group together. You are a born leader so show that crazy witch that the people of our world aren't some pushovers that are afraid of her," says John looking at Cid.

"*sighs* But I will have to leave Shera behind if I go to do that. She isn't a fighter but a scientist," says Cid as he was holding his head.

"You and Zack should be enough to take care of this matter," says John as he puts his hand on Cid's shoulder.

"I should drink some more if I have to tell Shera that she will be staying here while I save another world with Zack," says Cid as he was already thinking of an excuse to tell his wife.

"We should return to the party. I have to tell Zack about it," says John as he leaves Cid's side.

He walks towards Kieron and asks, "Can you come with me for a moment?"

"Of course," says Kieron as both leave the room they walk to the courtyard and John takes the Dragon Slayer out.

"That's a nice sword. Where did you get it?" asks Kieron looking at it.

"I got it from a friend we made in the world I and your mother were dragged into. Can you copy it?" says John as Kieron looked at it.

He takes it out of John's hand and says, "It's quite heavy. No normal person will be able to swing it."

"It's not for a normal person," says John as a second Dragon Slayer appeared in his free hand.

"Who is the lucky one?" asks Kieron as John smiled.

"It is for Zack. He will need a new weapon if he is going to save another world," says John as Kieron looked confused at his father.

"Another world? Are you taking him with you?" asks Kieron confused that John would take Zack with him.

"Not with me. Cid found a new world out there with Shera. I want him to help them as we helped them. Zack will be going with him. He needs something like this right now," says John as he stored his Dragon Slayer away.

The other he kept in his hand when he says, "Can you tell Zack to meet me out here?"

"I will, just return fast or mother will be angry that you are out here," says Kieron as he enters the mansion again to tell Zack to meet John outside.

Zack comes out of the mansion and sees John holding the Dragon Slayer when he asks, "Why are we talking out here?"

"Because Cid told me something interesting," says John putting the sword down.

"I know that you learned how to manipulate ki from someone in the group. If I had to guess it was Kieron and Aerith that taught you in it," says John as Zack couldn't deny it.

"Are you angry because of that?" asks Zack as John shakes his head.

"No, but Cid found a world that needs heroes and we have heroes. Cid will be going to that world and you will be accompanying him," says John as he walked forward.

"That sword will be my gift for you since you are the only one that never received a weapon from me. It will serve you well in that world," says John as Zack was surprised by that.

"You mean that I should fight and prove for myself that I am who I am," says Zack as John nods.

"Yes, you still have doubt inside of you and no one can take that from you except for yourself. That's why you need to go and prove to yourself that you are a hero and not a failed clone of Sephiroth," says John as Zack walked forward and picked the Dragon Slayer up.

"When am I leaving?" asks Zack as John smiles.

"For that, you need to ask Cid. I don't know when you two will start," says John as he walked back into the mansion with a smile on his face.

"It seems we were worried about nothing," says Nesiara to the girls of the group as they were spying on John and the others the whole night.
