Annoying Rogue

Rebeca was living with Nesiara and John. She didn't feel out of place as if she was at home with her parents back in her childhood before they died.

But everything came to an end when the papers arrived and they went to buy her a simple car which could help her explore the world also offroad so they bought her a Mizutani Shion "Coyote".

Rebeca was quite surprised to see the car as Nesiara and John sit her into it before handing her a chip with money on it.

Rebeca looked at her new identity as she was surprised as John throws at her a phone while saying, "Don't waste your life, Rebeca Crownguard. And if you need some help just ask for it using the phone. We will find you right away."

Rebeca jumped out of the car as she hugs them before whispering, "Thank you."

"Don't worry, girl. Just call once in a while to let us know that you are alive," says Nesiara as they hugged her back.

Rebeca let go and jumped back into the car before waving at them for the last time with some tears in her eyes before she starts the engine and drives on the highway away from Night City.

John and Nesiara then returned to the city after they couldn't see Rebeca any longer before they returned to their penthouse and John says, "She reminded me a lot of Yui personality-wise. Just that she still needs to find her way compared to my little princess."

"That's because this city is a pure venom for everyone living in it. I think the only ones that aren't led astray are the Nomads but even they can be corrupted because of the corps, I said that right?" says Nesiara asking if she said the last word right as John nods.

"Anyway, we got paid and we have the next Gig which will be with the Fixer that we bought the ride from. She wants us to steal something from Militech," says John informing Nesiara about it.

"When do we start?" asks Nesiara with a smile as John smiles back.

"Tonight, the best way to steal something is in the middle of the night when the least amount of people are protecting it," says John as Nesiara like that plan.

"But we should talk to Rogue before going to start this Gig and tell her about Rebeca," says Nesiara as John nods.

They went under the shower before putting on their clothes before they walked to the edge of the building and let themselves fall before flying towards the Afterlife.

Once they saw the roof of the Afterlife they landed on it and took the elevator down. The bouncer saw them and made way not wanting to deal with them as John was playing with Mjølnir bringing bad memories to the bouncer.

"Sometimes I think we changed personalities after going through our awakening," says Nesiara hinting at John being more playful while she was more serious before.

"Oh, I can still be quite serious when I have to be it. But I learned that being serious all the time doesn't get me anywhere. Sometimes I have to let fate decide my path and follow it. Or at least that is what I learned from my wife," says John talking about Nesiara who always lets everything unfold before becoming serious.

"If you say it that way," says Nesiara smiling at her husband as they passed the counter while waving at the barkeep.

They see Weyland standing there when he makes way for them and they sit down while Rogue was drinking from her glass.

"I have information that you have a daughter out of nowhere," says Rogue knowing what they did.

"You wanted her to disappear and she wasn't a bad girl just someone on the wrong path as always in this City," says Nesiara as a server comes and puts two Silverhands on the table thinking that Nesiara and John were fans of Johnny Silverhand.

"They still don't know that you aren't fans of Johnny but you can't take it wrong since you are literally dressed like his fans," says Rogue as John puts the Chop on the table and Rogue takes it before putting it in the back of her neck.

Her eyes lit up before she pulls the Chop out and puts it back on the table when she asks, "I don't know why you are working as Mercs if you have that much money."

"It is because society thinks that money is important. If I tell you the truth, money is a curse that mankind placed over themselves," says Nesiara looking at Rogue seriously.

"Once you did everything that you own won't follow you to the afterlife. It is better to write your name in history if you want to be remembered forever or have descendants that talk about your deed," says Nesiara as she has seen through Life and Death.

"Do you say money isn't the most important thing in life, how shocking," says Rogue knowing that already.

"Anyway, why all the hassle to accumulate that much money?" asks Rogue as John took the Chop and put it away.

"It will be our gift for the people that we have met so far," says John as he smiles at Rogue before leaning back.

"Do you have another of those Gigs, maybe a bit more dangerous?" asks John as he put Mjølnir on the table.

"I will call you when I have one for your caliber. I have your number," says Rogue as John and Nesiara stand up and leave.

"John, your hammer," says Rogue thinking that John forgot it.

"It won't run away," says John not worried about someone trying to steal Mjølnir.

Rogue looked at the hammer confused as she tries to lift it from the table only to find out that it wouldn't budge an inch away.

"Weyland, get that thing from my table," says Rogue as Weyland walks towards the Hammer and grabs it.

He moves away thinking that the hammer wouldn't weight much only to find himself pulled back. He then uses both hands and it didn't move from the spot John left it.

"I can't move the damn thing," says Weyland as he puts more strength into lifting while resting one foot on the table.

"Just let go," says Rogue now understanding why John wasn't worried about someone stealing his hammer.

She takes the phone out and calls John when he hears Nesiara on the other end, "What can I do for you, boss?"

"What is the hammer made of?" asks Rogue as now another Merc tried to lift the hammer while she was enjoying her drink.

"You mean Mjølnir. It is made out of materials that don't exist in this world," says Nesiara as Rogue had the urge to spew her drink out after hearing the name of the hammer.

"Wait, is your husband Thor? It would explain why you didn't exist until just some weeks ago and why bullets won't harm you," whispers Rogue into the phone before she hears some laughter from the other side.

"John isn't Thor, theoretically," says Nesiara as she looked in front of her seeing their destination.

"I will explain everything later," says Nesiara as she hung up the call.

"She must be pissed that I left Mjølnir there," says John as he was holding Yamato in his hand looking at the surrounding their target should be seeing Guards patrolling the area.

"At least she will remember us when she has a Gig for us," says Nesiara seeing the advantage behind what John did by leaving Mjølnir behind.

They looked at the patterns the different groups were walking when they see a group of two that would be at a dead angle for a moment.

"Those two, we need to take them out and take their place to get inside," says Nesiara as they wouldn't drag any attention that way when John stretches his hand out and makes everyone fall to the ground.

"I think that putting them to sleep is more effective than going all Mission Impossible on them," says John as he used and Transformation Jutsu to look like one of the guards.

Nesiara sighs and uses the same Jutsu before they enter the territory seeing vigilance cameras filming what was going on as John moved the people out of the way while Nesiara entered the car they were supposed to steal.

She started the engine and began to drive without activating the alarm which would activate the machines around the area. She stopped the car at the exit waiting for John who opened the passenger's door and hits twice softly against the roof.

Nesiara looks at him confused before asking, "What was that for?"

"Just tried to imitate something you see in the movies normally so the driver knows that he can start driving again," says John as Nesiara starts driving again.

"Just tell me next time. You know how I and your Hollywood movies stand to each other," says Nesiara as she didn't like movies except they are filled with a lot of action.

They drove down the street for a while before they arrived at a service station with a car repair shop. They drive towards the car repair shop ignoring the service station since it was completely covered in dust and rust.

They park the car inside before they see Dakota, who is the Fixer, walking towards them while saying, "Excellent Job, Rogue was right with you when she said 'They won't disappoint you.'."

"It was a pleasure since we got something in return," says Nesiara talking about the car they bought from her.

They stayed for a while before they left back for home since they wanted to sleep. It was an exhaustion day for them.

John and Nesiara were slowly wrapping up Night City around their little finger earning Streetcred and eurodollars at the same time as they were slowly approaching the last week of April.
