The Three Paraphernalia's

Jackie smiled, Lilliane smiled too, “Well, to complete the task, you must gather the Three Seraphic Paraphernalia’s. Each one is from a different time period. One from the past, one from the present, and one from the future. Explaining it will be too difficult, just follow this.” She picked up a piece of paper from thin air and threw it into the air, Stella caught it and folded it up neatly. “It tells you all you need to know, just-“ At that moment, Jackie whispered, “one… two… THREE!” _________________________________________________ Cover Art from PeakPx content creator.

The Carrera

"Well, um, just follow me I guess," said Tiffany.

Kaitlin looked at the schedule over her shoulder and gasped.

"Um, okay," replied Kyle, he flashed Kaitlin a grin.

Kaitlin backed away quickly, feeling both disgusted and worried.

Tiffany, Kaitlin, and Kyle exited the classroom and went off to their next classes. Kaitlin hugged Tiffany as she left them, muttering a "Good luck," then summoning up enough power to make a small smile.

"So what's your deal?" asked Tiffany begrudgingly to Kyle as they walked to their third period class.

Kyle looked at Tiffany and answered with a sly grin, "I have no idea about you're talking about, dear."

Tiffany stared at him and rolled his eyes, "Of course you know what I mean, remember that invitation? What are you?"

Tiffany stopped as they had reached their third period, history.

"Well, if you want to know, you should," he gestured around with his left hand, "Maybe meet at my house, after school shall we? I'll give you a ride." Without waiting for an answer, he walked into the math classroom.

Tiffany was just about to follow when she realized it was the wrong classroom, "Kyle!" She called out, "wrong classroom."

Kyle emerged from the classroom with a rose in his hand, balanced between his forefinger and thumb.

"Ah, there was a girl, I think her name was Jackie, she gave me this-" Kyle began, but got interrupted by Tiffany.

"Go into that classroom," She pointed to the classroom next to the math one, "I'll be right back."

Tiffany entered the math classroom and looked around purposefully until she spotted Jackie talking with Sarah and Jamie.

She went over to them and asked, "Can I talk to you Jackie," she looked at Sarah and Jamie, "Um, alone?"

Jackie nodded and they left the classroom to talk outside, "What's up?" asked Jackie brightly.

"Well, did you give a rose to a guy just then?" replied Tiffany staring hard at Jackie.

Jackie laughed, "Yea, I did, oh my god, he was SO hot!"

Tiffany sighed heavily and said, "Don't do that Jackie."

Jackie looked questioningly at her, "Don't do what?"

"That guy, don't get hooked up with him," started Tiffany, but then she paused as Jackie started smirking and nodding her head.

"And why is that?"

"It's because he's the guy that had brought me to that cave and gave me that invitation," while Tiffany was explaining Jackie's smirk left her face and was replaced by a look of shock and anguish.

"No!" cried Jackie, just then the bell rang, signaling the beginning of third period.

Tiffany suppressed a grimace and forcing a smile onto her face, said "Worse part is, he has the exact same schedule as me."

* * *

The day had been excruciatingly bad for Tiffany as she had been followed by Kyle all day, after all 8 classes of school, Tiffany was about to die. She had explained Kyle to all of her friends and experienced their shock and confusion at seeing him. Now she was facing the prospect of going to Kyle's house.

"So, will you come dear?" Kyle's deep voice interrupted her thoughts.

"What?" asked a confused Tiffany but then seeing Kyle, she snorted and asked, "Will I die in the process?"

Kyle's smile faltered slightly at Tiffany's abruptness, and replied hesitantly, "No…"

"Then let's go," she looked at Kyle and pointedly asked, "so?"

"So what?"

Tiffany sighed with exasperation and replied, "So, where is your car? Or are we going to walk to your house?"

"Ha!" smirked Kyle, "I have a car, this way m'lady."

He led the way out of the school, taking a few wrong turns, and they finally arrived at his car. On the way, Tiffany pulled out her phone and texted her friends;

'have to do something important, tell u guys later'.

As they arrived in the parking lot, Kyle spread his arms and said "this is probably the best car you have ever seen in your life dear. The newest Porsche 911 sport convertible." Tiffany looked up from her phone at this.

The convertible was a glossy bright red shade. The shiny black hood was covered and along with the stained dark windows, the car looked like it was dripping black oil. Peeking through the windows, Tiffany was able to see the white leather seats inside. The car was exactly as Tiffany would expect it to be; uniquely contemporary, fierce, and eccentric,

He would expect me to be wowed, thought Tiffany, but no, I won't give him the upper hand this time. He can't take indifference, so that's exactly what I'm going to give him, outright disinterest.

With that thought, Tiffany rolled her eyes with exaggeration and looking at the bright flare of light on the hood, asked, "Is this it?"

Kyle's smile dropped and was altered to a half disappointed look. "Yea, isn't it good?"

He pressed a button on the car keys and the textile roof folded back, showing the luxurious interior.

Trying hard to hide a squeal bubbling inside of her, this was her dream car after all, Tiffany brushed her hair back and looked away.

"Sure, why not," replied Tiffany casually, looking bored. "Are we going or not?"

Scowling at the Tiffany, Kyle replied, "Let's go."

He threw open his side of the door and dropped onto the driver seat. With one leg inside the car, he plunged the key into the ignition lock but did not turn it to start the car. "Come on."

Tiffany sighed. She decided to dominate the situation, and smirked at the thought. Jumping up and over the passenger door of the Carrera, she landed gracefully into the seat.

Kyle grimaced. "So, when we get there, can you not say anything or make any loud sounds until we're inside the house, dear? I don't want to wake him up."

"Wake who up?" Tiffany asked. She couldn't think what this, him, could be.

"Um, a friend."

Rolling her eyes once again, Tiffany said in reply, "close your door will you?"

Kyle closed the door and was just about to buckle on his seatbelt when Tiffany leaned over and turned the key, igniting the convertible. "Let's get going then."
