Teacher Bao Tan stood quietly, with a slight smile on his face, looking at the students, who were reading ,thinking about, and, some were even solving, their tests. The test was a bit peculiar. All of the students were muttering amongst themselves. They were already confused, although it was just the first question that they had read.
The first question was, "Who would you face, and why, you and your friends of a low level V.S. a single enemy of a high level, or, you of a high level V.S. a group of enemies of a low level?"
This question was a bit confusing, as it was one of the "which of these is better" type of questions in the test. It was pretty obvious that it had only one correct answer, and teacher Bao Tan said that the questions would measure our own decision making skills and tactical abilities. He also stated that there would be no specific correct answer, but this one clearly had one correct answer.
They all thought for a while, and some of them had then found out their answers, but, most of the students were remaining, and they had no answer with them. Tao Xue, Ling Shen, and Ju Yuan were in the first group. They had formed their own respective answers, as well as the other few.
After a while, teacher Bao Tan asked the students, "Okay, so who all were able to get their answers for the first question?"
Out of the roughly 20 students, only 6 of them raised their hands. Out of these six students, three of them were our three honorable fools. They had no seriousness towards the test, and took teacher Bao Tan's words of not taking the test seriously, literally. They all had come up with their respective answers a few seconds after reading the questions, while the others did a thorough amount of thinking in their heads before they thought of an answer.
He randomly picked a student, and it happened to be Ju Yuan. He pointed towards Ju Yuan and said, "Okay, so tell me your answer."
Ju Yuan smiled a bit and said, "Some of the people here would find my answer weird, but I'll still say it. If I were in a decision like that, I would choose a lot of weak opponents, because, it's pretty obvious, they're weak! A horde of ants in nothing to an elephant. The elephant can squash the whole group of ants under its gigantic feet. That's why I chose a lot of low level opponents!"
A lot of students liked this kind of mindset, but a lot didn't.
Teacher Bao Tan just simply smiled, and said, "Okay, you there, give me your answer," pointing towards a slim youth with neatly combed, sparkling hair.
The student said, "According to me, what that brat said was..."
Before he could complete his sentence, Ju Yuan got angered to the point of exploding, and shouted to the boy, "Just you do you think you're calling a brat!"
His face was totally red in anger, and he also scared a couple of the students, not much, though.
The student who called Ju Yuan 'that brat' continued, "My apologies. According to me, what that 'student' said wasn't right," he gave the word 'student' a bit of special emphasis, and continued, "If there is a team of all of our close friends and comrades with us, it will boost our morale, and that will decide our victory against our opponent, even if we are weaker than the enemy. That student gave the example of an elephant and a lot of ants, but that was totally misleading. There was no mention that there was a large difference in power, rather, if judged by common sense, in this situation, there wouldn't be such a huge difference in power. I would like to state an example to state my cause. If there is a lion facing a pack of wild dogs, it will have to either flee, or it will be utterly crushed. In a team, the members can have teamwork and co-ordination as their strength, and strategy as their key to victory."
Teacher Bao Tan again just smiled, and said, "Okay, you next," he said, pointing to a girl.
The girl said, " I think I would choose the same as the first student. That was my mindset as well."
The same process kept on repeating. After this girl was another girl, who supported the boy who called Ju Yuan 'that brat'. Then came the fool, Ling Shen, who obviously sided with the other fool, Ju Yuan.
This was like a competition to all the children. They wanted to see which side won, and that was the same with the competitors. The last one left was Tao Xue. Everyone wanted to see if he sided with the boy who called Ju Yuan 'that brat' to make it a draw, or sided with the honorable fool, who was currently winning due to only and only his sheer luck, Ju Yuan, to make it a perfect win for the idiot, who was smirking like he had won the championship already. This was the moment of truth, and all the kids were staring at Tao Xue as if he was the judge, and he was going to declare the result of a great case, that had piqued everyone's attention.
Tao Xue didn't even care the slightest about his newly found fame, and simply answered, "I'll side with Ju Yuan, since he's my friend. I didn't have any kind of answer for myself, but I had already thought that something like this would happen. I knew that Ju Yuan and Ling Shen would give an answer, so I just raised my hand for supporting them. You must be thinking what I would have said if I was chosen first, right. If that happened, I would have said that I hadn't raised my hand for answering the question, but I was just stretching it. As for what my ideology is, as an individual, it's nothing. It was a bit too boring for me to think of an answer for myself, so I just stuck to this idea. How was it?"
