Impact

Tao Xue sure was lazy and laid back, but he knew how to take advantage of his ability. If there is no one who can do this in the entire human realm, then it's pretty obvious that the emperor himself would not be able to get his hands on such a talented individual, so he should surely appreciate Tao Xue and his talent. The Principal was impressed by Tao Xue's cunning behavior. It was sure that he could become the superstar of the whole human realm, once this ability of his is publicly known.

The Principal was well aware of this scenario, though, so he knew how to react and answer to Tao Xue's question. He knew that most people would try to get themselves to be famous. Just as he was about to speak, Tao Xue spoke up.

He said, "Well, I don't really care about the emperor taking me in or not. What I really care about is any potential jobs. Being a member in the king's court, that will count as a good job opportunity. I don't have any certain need to be in the king's court as an entertainer, but I just need to think of future jobs to earn a living, if Cultivation doesn't work its way out to be an option."

The Principal was a bit stunned by the selflessness in Tao Xue's words. He didn't actually want to be a member of the emperor's court! That was a bit weird, as well as something that deserved respect. The matter had been resolved, so the Principal told Tao Xue that if he had any problem, he could come to him, and told him to go home and rest for the day. Surely, meeting the Principal had been quite refreshing for Tao Xue. It was really lucky for him to get to personally meet the Principal of the 4 Seasons Academy at such a young age, without even being a Cultivator, yet. It was pretty much anything that the average student of the academy would want, but not Tao Xue. Earlier, he had been a completely reckless and laid back fool, not realizing the strength in him. Now that he had found out that he could control the energy of the Heaven and Earth at his own command, he had started realizing that the potential he had was way more than before. He knew that he had an amazing ability that others dodn't have. He had an ability surpassing the Human Realm, for sure. With such kind of power, he could only believe that he wasn't any ordinary youth, with an ordinary future. Either he would not be able to Cultivate at all, or he would be able to step over to such a level that normal people couldn't even imagine in their wildest dreams. It had been sn event that Tao Xue was rather happy of happening. He had wanted to see just who the Principal was, and now that he had met him, he had slowly started getting influenced by him, and had also gained new, and, very profound insights, both on his ability and Cultivation, and also on life in general. This had impacted him in his mind, which could lead to changes in the future that he wouldn't have encountered with, if this meeting wouldn't have occurred. The meeting had also started to have effects on his personality, in some ways, as he had started to have a broader view of Cultivation, and had accepted that he was not any normal, average person, and that he could achieve great heights. This might have sounded very simple at first, but it had a very profound meaning. Tao Xue had never had the fantasies of being a person who stood atop the peak of Cultivation, and had a rather incessant attitude towards most of the things that average people took great regard of. Including these things, was Cultivation, which was the most important thing to almost all of the normal folk, but Tao Xue still had that 'I don't care' attitude about it. He just wanted to live a rather decent life, not like the other bunch of people, who wanted to stand atop everyone else. It was common for them to have such fantasies. They all wanted to have all the things they could get their hands on, but Tao Xue didn't want all that. He just yearned for a decent lifestyle. Taking the example of Cultivation, most of the people would want to reach very high levels, and become famous and powerful, however Tao Xue just wanted to attain a rather decent position, and stay there, with not too much work, and a decent pay.

While walking home, he realized that it was ineffective for him to ignore his ability and focus on being normal. Now that he was going to reach his home soon, he had to show them his ability of controlling the energy of the Heaven and Earth. It would be a big mess, there, as everyone would crowd around him and start asking him about how he could utilize the energy without first absorbing it. The old geezers and old hags would start rambling, the young kids would start crying, and the nerds would start questioning him about his ability. What awaited him there was utter chaos and mayhem, which Tao Xue didn't want to face! He was a bit mad, but he eventually had to tell his family about this, anyway, so he didn't wish to hide it for now, rather, get over with this issue, and tell them everything now, or else it would end up being even worse afterwards. It was very bad for him, that he had a family filled with all sorts of freaks, which meant that he had to deal with all those kinds of weird nuisances. While some people would burn with jealousy, some would burn with passion. There would also be all kinds of excited folk, coming to see him from places like even the branch family. Tao Xue was the kind of person who didn't like any kind of unwanted and extra attention.

He walked a bit more, and eventually ended up in front of the gates of his family.

He sighed deeply, as he thought, "First things first, I'll have to deal with all this, now!"

Hi... Ordinary chapter... These days I've been wondering what to write in the author's thought column, but I've run out of ideas... I'll keep on writing unoriginal stuff like this, for now... P.S. I've got a few comments, and a new review, so THANKS! (and VOTE!) :-D
