Chapter Sixteen

Everything is very calm while Tsege is in her dream land dreaming about something she really won't even remember later but many will think she is having a great time dreaming about something but it wasn't a good dream.

She was about to know the information that one of the guards was about to tell her when her father, Ras Zemede, bragged in into her room like he owns it. (Well basically he does.)

"Tsege!" he yelled at her scaring the soul out of her than he did when he bragged in into her room.

"Yes?" she said not getting the reason he was yelling at her.

'Did I do something wrong?

What did I do this time?' she was asking herself when her father talked taking her back to the reality, taking her out of her question land which was going to be a lot since she is an over thinker.

"What ar-"

She cut her father off from finishing his sentence.

"Father, I seriously didn't do anything today. I didn't do anything without your notice. Also I spent my whole day grinding Teff with Sara."

There was a moment of silence when Ras Zemede stared at her who just woke up.

Not getting the memo like she did with Wolde Samuel, she raised her eyebrows in question to why he was staring at her.

Sighing, her father walked out of her room without saying anything to her in return. He didn't even finish what he was about to say before she cut him off.

Tsege's face mirrored confusion as she stared at her closed door to which her father walked out of.

Shrugging, she got up from her bed since she can't sleep anymore because she already woke up from her beauty sleep.

"Wait… HE CAME HERE TO ASK ME WHAT I WAS DOING HERE SLEEPING?" she basically asked herself also there was no one other than her in the room.

"Thank god! I would have never listen to the end of the lecture." With that she walked out of her room wincing every now and then.

Her back still hurts but she really needs to help the others who are in much worse pain than she is right now, also her pain is much less than theirs since she really rested for no one knows how long.

She finally reached her destination, where the almost entire female population is at.

"Anyone needs help?" she asked and she got multiple answers to came to them and help them with so many things and she spent the rest of the day doing that.

"It's Ester!" some kids yelling waking up Tsege who is in her room sleeping. She finally got what she really wanted.

Her sleep, free day with eating and HER FAVORITE HOLIDAY!

She has never got out of her bed so exited like today in a year.

It's pretty early but she slept early since she knew that she needs to wake up early today.

She went to Emanuel's and her's lake started to take a bath. Everyone knows that's it's their spot so no one go to that place on the time like this.

She finally finished taking a bath and wore her traditional clothes.

She started walk to where the woman would be there to have their make up on and since she already got her hair done, she only need her makeup.

People applied some eyeliner ("Kool" as they say it) on her eyes and people started to work on her face more. When she was finally done with her make up, they made her wear the jewels that women usually wear on holidays.

Since she isn't a mother yet, she is supposed to go out with her friends singing their Ester traditional songs to every house they find in the territory.

While Tsege is with the girls doing that, the guys (Emanuel and Wolde Samuel) are in their own houses to get ready to the celebration/party that's going to happen when the girls come back while the mothers are still in the kitchen checking that the things are in the right places and well prepared.

Finally the girls are back from their little fun and people start to gather in the ball room to eat, dance and just for fun.

There was so many kind of food that Tsege is sure that it's not going to be finished and there will be a lot of food that will be given to the dogs since people are not going to finish all the food.

After people finished eating, you could hear people laughing, singing and dancing at the same time.

Tsege was also dancing with her best friend. Sara came in front of her and started to move her shoulders in sync and shaking to the front and back, also challenging Tsege at the same time.

Tsege took the challenge very well and they start to dance facing each other.

They continued to dance till they were worn out. While the girls do that, the guys were glaring at each other.

When one is trying to get something over, one would try to take it away from him.

One would try to make him fall when he is walking by stretching his legs over to where the other one is walking.

When one is having a conversation with someone, one would murmur some rude things making sure the the other one will hear.

Watching this, the fathers are really amazed and confused by their behavior especially at Wolde Samuel. They never thought he would do something childish like this but Ras Zemede knew that Emanuel would do that since he would see him goofing around with his daughter but he also knows that he does his work properly when it's necessary.

Almost every elder seems to notice what these who men are trying to. Some think that they are close so that's why they are doing that to each other, some think that they hate each other and since they can't fight in front of all these people they are doing this to each other but if they saw what happened next, they would know the reason.
