Wolde Samuel got to his destination and sat at the same chair that he fell off from and Tsege laughed about. He found himself smiling when thinking about that. He just can stop his smile from taking over his face when he thinks about her and her laughter that day.
Sighing, he started to look through the papers that he needed to complete since he knows that there is no point of arguing with himself about her. He knows that he will not stop thinking about her and smiling about what she did that day but his smile always seems to fall when he thinks about what he did.
He knows that he shouldn't have done that and he even knows that she isn't immature. Even he knows that Emanuel isn't immature but he couldn't stop himself that day. He doesn't even know what possessed him when he said those insulting words to her.
Even though he doesn't like Emanuel, he admits that he is a good guy than he himself, but he doesn't want to admit it out loud and he thinks if he admits it out loud, it will hurt his pride.
What's the thing that goes up in return will bring you down?
Pride.
And he doesn't seem to notice that. Instead, he kept on protecting what will bring him down.
Emanuel is really confused at the moment like always since Wolde Samuel set his foot in Gojjam's territory.
He is really confused about why Wolde Samuel's face held apology when he looked at his fiancé. It's really confusing him. He is curious about what happened to them that he was apologizing with his face.
'What happened to them? He isn't the type of person that will do something like that.
What is going on between them?' he asked himself as if he will find the answer right away. Emanuel doesn't know what to as always since he is really confused about the situation.
'No. I shouldn't be thinking about that. If something happened, Tsege will tell me right away. I shouldn't doubt her instead of trusting her like I should do and like I used to do until that Wolde Samuel came into our lives.' He said to assure himself but that didn't do anything instead he kept on thinking about what happened.
Tsege and Emanuel both went to their separated ways to sleep since today was a tiresome day.
People are drunk and they are being taken to their houses to get some rest and tonight will be the night that the women will be resting fully.
Emanuel was walking back to his own home when he heard a crack. It sounds like a branch breaking off. He doesn't have the energy to go over a look since he is very tired and it's probably an animal or so the thought.
He left to his home without giving it much thought. He just went into his house and sleep.
While most people are sleeping or getting ready to sleep, Tsege is in her room wondering about Wolde Samuel's behavior earlier with her fiancé. She saw what was going on from the start. She even felt Wolde Samuel's stare at the party/celebration but she brushed it away. She didn't want to attract attention by putting both men in a fight.
When both men left the party/celebration at the same time, she knew that something was off so she went out following them but not before telling her best friend that he need some fresh air or else she would suspect something.
After she got out and following them, she saw what happened that her fiancé and the new comer Wolde Samuel were up for a fight more like her fiancé was about to fight him and that was when he stepped in without making it obvious that she was there listening from the start so she started to act normal and started to call out for her fiancé.
What made her feel an easy was the fact Wolde Samuel was saying sorry to her through his eyes. He really looked like he was sincere and regretting what he did but she is fighting the urge to forgive him. She wanted him to apologize to her through words and she also wants to see the apology through action.
She decided that she will do that until he says that and will show her through his action and went to her bed to sleep when a figure appeared on her window. She quickly moved to grab her sword. She pulled her sword out of its case and point its end on the person's neck.
"Sate who you are and where you came from." You could barely recognize her voice. It is now changed into a serious and intimidating to the point the person that appeared at her window was scared but he didn't show it even though it's at night and it's dark, he didn't show it.
He slowly moved fully entering her room and stood before her. She checked if he has any weapon but she found none.
'He could be an attention diverter' she thought to herself as she went into full alert. She moved slowly while keeping her eyes on the person. They are now standing in front of her window. She moved because if something happens, she will have to make sure that he will not escape through her window.
"Answer me…" she demanded but she got no response. The guy couldn't answer her because he was in shock looking t her.
"Answer me…" she said again but this time her voice is low and dangerous and that made the guy to look at her surprised but he finally managed to bring himself out from the daze he was in and straightened his body and looked at her properly.
When he was about answer her question, he felt something sharp going through his bicep opening his skin. The cut wasn't that deep but she made sure that it will take long time to heal and it will leave a scare.
The man quickly grabbed the place she cut him trying to stop the bleeding or at least to lessen the amount of blood that's going to come out.
"Answer me or this will continue." She said making the man move his attention to her.
"I was about to." He said through gritted teeth making Tsege look at him shocked.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
