Ryan awoke the next morning with a body ache from having to sit in a chair all night. Oh no. Moving the waist and shoulders was excruciatingly painful. Only this time he felt fatigued, like on a lengthy hike. His body needs to lie down for a few moments, flexing muscles and joints.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries on the table is delectable. "Good morning, baby," Ryan said as glanced at the petite woman eating breakfast without him. "Did you get enough rest last night?"
What a ridiculous question! Serena's sneer indicates that the presence of her husband disturbs her privacy.
"It's best to just go home; your place isn't here," she said, refusing to create a conflict in the middle of the morning. "This small flat isn't as comfortable as your penthouse; it won't fit the two of us, and there's no big sofa to stretch your legs!"
