The Theif's Reward: Claude and Dexter's Adventures

In a warm summer night, in the peaceful land of Eruditio, Claude and his trusty partner Dexter is eyeing out their next target. Dr. Rooney's latest invention, th Hollo, which creates a hollographic image of the user and lets the user exchange places with the hollographic image.

"What does it do again?" Claude asked.

*Monkey noises. Dexter answered.

"I trust that you know how to use it Dexter."

A thumbs up from Claude's primate partner is enough to assure him of his partner's competency. Claude jumped down from their lookout point and started heading to Dr. Rooney's laboratory. They navigated the streets stealthily and with ease. Not a lot of people were walking at that time of night so Claude knew that the curfew was almost upon them.

"We need to hurry up before that paintbrush-looking ranger catches us."

*Monkey noises

"Yeah, that guy Bruno."

*Monkey noises

"Well you're right about that, he can never catch us both."

Dr. Rooney was already away when they arrived at the laboratory. Claude used the entry card they stole a week ago from Dr. Rooney's assistant, Diggie, to get inside the lab. As they entered the lab, they saw a lot of impressive inventions that Dr. Rooney created. He was the only scientist that was able to fill in the shoes of his predecessor, Dr. Lex.

"Where the heck is it?"

*Monkey noise

"Easy for you to say, there's a lot of sensors there that could set off an alarm."

*Monkey noise

"Well, go ahead. You're the only one that could fit through the exhaust pipe."

*Monkey noise

"Yeah, you're the best partner I ever had. And yeah, you could eat as much bananas at home. As soon as we get out of here."

Little did Claude know, they were being watched by Dr. Rooney through his hidden surveillance camera. "Let's see what you could do with my invention." Dr. Rooney then pressed the alarm button to alert the Eruditio Rangers.

Claude and Dexter were startled. "Hurry up Dexter," Claude said, "the rangers are coming." At that point Dexter was able to acquire the Hollo, he came scurrying back as fast as he could to his partner. The rangers arrived at the laboratory and Bruno was leading them.

"We meet again, theif." Bruno said

"You seriously have to change your hairstyle dude, I'm the only who can rock this look." Claude answered

"You won't be rocking that look when I send you to prison. I'll shave your head myself."

Bruno used his weapon of choice, Dr. Rooney's previous invention, the Plasma Soccer Ball, and aimed at Claude's torso. Claude was barely able to dodge, he then used his miniature cannon, that Dexter made, to retaliate. But Claude didn't notice the other rangers moving around his back, one was able to hit him on his shoulder. Claude couldn't fight back anymore, he almost fainted, but Dexter jumped on his back and woke him up.

*Monkey noises

"I'm sorry, I got shot." Claude said

*Monkey noises

"Thanks pal."

Dexter used the Hollo to distract the rangers. Suddenly there were many Claudes and Dexters around them. Bruno got frustrated and used his ultimate move, the Wave of The World Animation, which made his Plasma Soccer Ball bounce in between his enemies. It made quick work of the holograms but the real ones weren't there anymore. Bruno went outside of the laboratory and tried to find the duo. He only heard Claude's laughter and Dexter's unmistakable monkey noise. "Damn it. I'll catch you next time." Bruno said.

Claude and Dexter was able to escape the rangers, but Claude was shot and he lost a fair amount of blood. They were already by the outskirts of Eruditio, near the forest when Claude fainted. Dexter couldn't carry him by himself, and Dexter knew that they were still far from their hideout. At that moment, something caught his eye, a cannon, much like Claude's but bigger, is perched upon a small hut. He went to the hut and he found a woman cleaning the cannon, as if it is her greatest treasure, her face is pale and she had a longing in her eyes that the cannon induced upod her. Dexter couldn't talk but he shreiked to get the woman's attention. The woman was startled but when she found Dexter, she was mesmerized. Dexter pulled her hand to lead her to Claude, and she followed him without hesitation.
