After I had been led to the apothecary, or whatever they call this place, and had gotten more treatment, I was left alone under the guise that Rhodeus had to attend to his duties.
Speaking of Rhodeus,
He was easier to understand than that leader of his. More often did he speak true to the emotions I could smell off of him. And while his tone carried sympathy, which I hated all the same, it did not feel as vain as that of his leader’s.
From our brief interactions, I could tell that he would not be an immediate threat to my life.
If I had to sum up his character, then I would describe him as an outspoken, enthusiastic elder. He was a bit rambunctious, but when the time called for it, he was serious and wise.
Every time he called for me, ‘lad’ he would say, I would glimpse a familiarity behind his words. But even then, I found it hard to let down my guard and trust his words...
