Chapter 4 - Shiny Surprise

Winter looked around the temple, unable to find Haku anywhere which drove him mad. ''Where is he?'' Winter asked Valentino's many subordinates. They all shook their head or muttered a simple; no. 

Winter got up and headed toward a door, planning on leaving and finding Haku as he didn't have time to ask every person in the city of lust.

In the meantime...

Haku followed Yuan out of the temple and toward the city's many 'attractions'. ''Hey- where are we going?'' Haku questioned the apprentice who just chuckled and continued to walk.

''You'll see it when we get there!'' Yuan finally replied before grabbing Haku's wrist and barging directly into a store. Inside there were a bunch of different things, such as toys, drugs, and a whole bunch of alcohol.

''Come, let me show you the best part.'' Yuan cooed out, dragging Haku across the room and toward the bar. ''Drinks on me, pretty boy,'' Yuan informed Haku while taking a few bottles from the cabinet without asking.

Yuan poured a glass of alcohol and held it out for Haku who hesitantly took it. ''How strong is this?'' Haku asked but got distracted by Yuan who downed the drink in one gulp. ''Bottoms up, cutie,'' Yuan spoke once he put the glass down on the table with a clang.

Haku stared down at the drink, considering the options he had. He ended up slowly lifting the glass to his lips before downing it, ending with him gagging and choking on the strong liquid. ''ack- what the hell?'' Haku coughed.

''Don't worry, it's only the start,'' Yuan spoke with a light grin, patting Haku on the back. ''You can take a bit more, come.'' Yuan encouraged, his grin widening as he grabbed a few more bottles.

A few hours later...

Haku stumbled out of the building, Yuan following right after him, making sure he didn't fall. ''I see you can't handle alcohol too well.'' Yuan sighed, sounding almost disappointed as he probably wanted to drink some more.

''Hey... I have just the thing!'' Yuan spoke as he dragged Haku along once again, making the poor boy stumble along the way. Yuan led Haku into a garden right behind Valentino's temple, it had beautiful roses and a bunch of poppies that are known to be an aphrodisiac type of flower.

Yuan walked further into the garden with Haku when they stumbled across one of the more closeted apprentices; Luo Xie.

Yuan rolled his eyes and turned towards Haku. ''I'll be right back,'' Yuan informed Haku and left, walking out of the garden and inside the temple, leaving Haku with Luo Xie.

Luo Xie looked at Haku, admiring the other boy's soft nature before shaking it off and approaching him. ''Hi.'' Luo Xie spoke, making Haku turn his head and look up at him. ''Oh, hi,'' Haku replied, nervously (and drunkenly) observing the other boy.

Luo Xie glanced up at the moon and then back at the other immortal. Luo Xie smiled softly, approaching him. ''Hey, I have a good spot where you can see the sky.'' Luo Xie spoke and held out his hand for Haku, not directly grabbing onto him.

Haku tilted his head curiously as he took Luo Xie's hand and followed him toward a certain spot in the garden. Luo Xie sat down by a stone, gesturing for Haku to join him. Once Haku sat down, Luo Xie looked up at the sky with him.

Haku's eyes widened as he saw how gorgeous the moon was, from his city, he couldn't even see the moon so this... this was amazing. Luo Xie looked over at Haku, smiling slightly as he saw his expression.

''The moon is beautiful, isn't it?'' Luo Xie spoke toward Haku who turned his head, meeting Luo Xie's gaze. ''It is, I've never seen it before.'' Haku replied, a slight smile spreading across his already flushed cheeks due to the alcohol.

Haku looked away, staring at the sky again for a while. It was only when Yuan came back that Luo Xie finally averted his gaze away from Haku's face.

Yuan came out with Winter right behind him. Winter was holding a shiny object. Winter ran toward Haku the moment he saw him and hugged him. ''You made me worry so much, are you okay?'' Winter asked, acting like an overprotective mother.

''I'm okay- I met someone,'' Haku spoke but was cut off by Winter silencing him. ''Your breath smells of alcohol, did...'' Winter turned toward Luo Xie. ''Hmph. Come, Haku.'' Winter demanded as he stood up and gestured for Haku to follow.

Haku looked back at Luo Xie, waving slightly before wandering off. Luo Xie watched from the rock, not letting his eyes leave the back of Haku's head for even a moment.

''This is what I waited 4000 years for... I'll be back, my love.''
