Chapter 5: Trouble in the Academy

I was beyond excited as I felt burning anticipation, what would the Hidden Leaf Village be like, although I looked calm about the whole 'woke up in Naruto world' thing, but deep inside I was a mess, plus it didn't really help that I'm in the body of one of the biggest psychopathic villain, and just now did I find it finally sinking in.

We quickly left the compound of the orphanage, my anticipation was reaching its peak. Immediately as we left the gates I started looking around, absorbing my surroundings like an addict, as I absorbed the unique building structures, the peoples walking around, the anguished faces of the people, the high tension in the air, the sorrowful wailing of...…WHAT THE HECK!!!

What's wrong with everyone, everywhere I looked I saw grief stricken and tormented faces of people, this made everything looked a bit grey…and just sad.

I finally couldn't take it anymore "What the hell happened here" I said.

[ Hey, Orochimaru don't get left behind] one of the adults called me as I was just standing there with confused look.

" I'm coming " I called out

That's totally fine by me, I thought, as I started moving, this time however I wasn't so enthusiastic anymore, the surroundings was killing my mode.

We finally reached a huge building with a gigantic field, there was even a forest behind it with a lake and stuff, but we didn't stop for site seeing so I couldn't see the rest.

Wow! The Academy looked just like the one from Naruto. We walked into the field of the Academy and met a huge crowd of children in front of the building.

[ Alright kids, this is where you'll be test. Make sure you all listen to the instructors] one of the adults said.

[ Alright everyone, Good luck!]The adults said as they start leaving.

Huh? They're leaving? No, comforting or encouraging words, just walking away... just like that… wow, talk about cold.

Of cause it's not like I need it, but these kids though literally just lost their parents, I mean some of them still looked like they're about to cry

[Good luck Orochimaru] The lady, who woke me up at the orphanage, said with a smiled on her face.

That's a bit better, but jeez! Nothing is going the way I expected it to, wait a min– how did that lady know my name, Oh! It's starting.

A man in bandage's walked up to the crowd, he looked like he was in his twenties, he had long black hair and he was wearing a matching black pants that reached all the way to his ankles and a black shirt with a typical Ninja green flak jacket over it, which I think is the Shinobi uniform, he had blue sandals on and he wore the Hidden Leaf headband over his bandaged forehead showing that he was at least a Genin and he had...white eyes.

" … Hyga Clan?" They were the legendary Byakugan holders and one the main Clans in the Village. But what is he doing here I wonder.

He suddenly made a hand sign, instantly the veins on his face started bulging and they all concentrated on his eyes, the veins were so bulky that they could be seen through his bandages.

He's using Byakugan right? I thought, but why though, does it have something to do with the entrance test… now that I thought about it, I don't know what they're gonna test us on, chakra maybe?

While I was absentminded the entrance test went on. The Hyga clansman said a few words to his fellow Ninjas present and then looked at us and said.

[ Alright everyone listen up, I'll be in charge of this year's entrance test so follow my instructions down to the last letter, is that clear!] He gave a short pause to make sure everyone was listening while his eyes were focused on certain individual, he then continued.

[ The first test is endurance, as a Ninja this is a must have, if you want to survive. You all are going to run around the Academy field and don't stop until I tell you to, if that's clear then everyone give each other an appropriate spacing...alright, ready…set…GO!]

Immediately everyone started running at full speed around the Academy field, despite the instructor's warning, some kids still bumped into each other. As for me, I also started running at a steady pace, but when I saw what the other kids were doing I just shaked my head.

'It's an endurance test , what's the point of competing with each other, it's not like there's a finish line" but I kept my opinion to myself, no sense in helping the competition.

Although must of the kids were running on full speed, a good number of them were also pacing themselves like me, maybe they're a part of a Clans or have Ninjas for parents…then again maybe they just, actually, had brains unlike these dummies.

Thirty minutes past and the instructor still hadn't stopped the test, by now all those blockheads lost their sponk and are now breathing harshly.

"Hehe…idiots" although I said this I was still pacing myself and checking my footsteps, the only person worst than a group of idiots is the person who called them idiots, only to make the same mistake.

Soon one hour went by and more than half of the participants were on the ground breathing heavily or past out. Seeing that the instructor still didn't call a quits, I had a pretty good idea of what's going on.

Pretty soon two hours went by and the current contestants can be counted on both hands. The good news though, is that my stamina is incredible, I mean, I've been running for two hours on the same pace, granted I looked like a sweaty mess, but I felt like I could still go on!

And like that three hours had gone by and I could have sworn, that I had cursed the whole thirteen generations of the instructor's family.

"Hah, hah, S–Stupid Hyga's…" of cause I whispered this, no sense in getting on my instructor's bad side.

And as if hearing my internal plea, a command was finally given by this devilish instructor.

[ ALRIGHT EVERYONE STOP!!!] He shouted, and I could easily hear the sigh's of relief echo through out the Academy field

[Everyone assemble in front of me, those that were still running stand in front, while the others should line up behind them] He said.

Everyone started dragging their tired body towards the instructors. When I saw these instructors standing cozily under a tree shade I cursed under my breath.

"Tck, heartless bastards"

As I was one of the remaining runners I was standing at the front while others lined up behind me, there were seven line in total. I was , however, astounded when I saw one of the instructors looked directly at me.

[Did you say something just now] he looked at me and inquired.

"Huh?…eh , No sir" I said startled, did he hear me cursing at them just now? I wondered.

[ Oh, well it must be my imagination then] although he said this, I could see a smirk on his face when he looked away.

THIS BASTARD!! He did hear me, what a bully! Of cause I kept these thoughts to myself, no need to dig a deeper grave for myself. I took a closer look at the instructor, he had a scar on his chin and he had wild look and rough hair with noticable fangs as he smirked. I immediately thought of a specific Clan that fought with giant dogs they called canine partner, and surprise, surprise there was a giant dog to his left that I couldn't see at first because its dark fur blended with the shadows.

" The Inuzuki Clan…" I couldn't help but feel giddy when thought of all the familiar Clans I had met , which until now, was nothing but fictional.

When everyone had finally lined up, the Hyga clansman from before spoke up.

[ I'm sure by now most of you know some of the area you are lacking physically...while some of you are lacking in the brain department ] He said that while looking at those who had started running at full speed despite being told it was an endurance test, these children in turn hid their faces in embarrassment.

The instructor continued [ Now more importantly, for those that were able to complete the test, I'll will say it now, don't start getting a big head this is honestly more of an exercise than an actual test…this especially goes for those who came in first place ] the Hyga instructor turned towards my direction

I was stunned when the instructor looked at me after he said this. ' What the hell!! What did I do now…no, no , wait a minute, he said first place shouldn't get a big head right! Then did I come in first place?? Is that why he's picking me among the crowd…but I didn't even say anything… well that may not be true, I did curse at them,… is that why they're doing this, Damn, are all Ninjas this petty, can you believe them Orochi', Of cause Orochi didn't answer me, nor did I want him too, I don't want to start a conversation with my invisible other.

[–And with that said we can start the last part of this exercise and for your information my name is Hiragana Hyga, alright, everyone can start ]

Wait what!! Shit I have to stop spacing out. I looked around to get my bearing of the situation. The bandaged instructor whose name I now know as Hiragana Hyga was standing in front of my line and there are six other instructors standing in front of the other lines, all together there are seven lines, each having one instructor. Although I quickly took notice of the white eyes with lack of irises these instructors had.

" More Hyga's!! But when did they get here–" I was perplexed by the ongoing situation.

[ Hey kid stop wasting time and get a move on it ] instructor Hiragana Hyga said looking at me .

This prompted me to start walking towards him, in spite of not knowing what's going on. ' Shit this is the last time I'll ever space out again', I thought to myself.

When I finally reached instructor Hiragana, I couldn't help but notice some children were not lining up anymore instead they were standing by the side in groups, I also noticed these groups were made up of people who hailed from Clans. The most obvious clan groups were the Hyga's with their white eyes, the Uchiha's with their hand fan symbol which they wore proudly, the insects users Aburame Clan with their shaded glasses and high collar, the fat children of the Akimichi Clan who are currently stuffing their faces; or maybe they're just fat friends hanging out.

[ Hey kid, stop ogling girls and pay attention. Now what's your name kid?] instructor Hiragana cautioned me.

'Who's ogling at girls!! I'm not ogling anything… in fact I bet you're the one ogling", of cause I didn't say that to him…BUT I WAS THINKING IT!!

I answered his question " My name is Yasha Orochimaru …em, Instructor Hiragana, eh, what are we doing?" I tried hard not to sound like an air head who doesn't listen.

[ I see, so you're one of those air heads, the kind that doesn't listen, aren't you?]

What the heck!! Does this dude read minds or something. "Well , eh, it's just that today has been kinda overwhelming" , Come on man just answer the damn question, don't make me beg!

[ Alright, alright, I was just joking] said instructor Hiragana who was just pulling my leg

[ Well basically we, the instructors, are going to open up the chakra paths of all children present] instructor Hiragana explained.

" Wait, you mean for all children present! They're like a hundred, aren't they, are we going to be here all day long" I said

[Well, not really. You see those kids standing over there, well they've already unblocked their chakra paths, this was done either by a parent, family member or even a fellow clansman, so it's only kids who don't have Ninja for parents or–] instructor Hiragana stopped himself, he looked like he just remembered something embarrassing.

He were about to say kids with no parents right, and to a line full of orphaned kids, now that's just tacky. But I saved him from his embarrassment and said.

" But there are still quite a lot of them" I looked at the lines that still reached at least sixty.

Instructor Hiragana however looked saddened by my comment.

[ Haa…it used to be rare to find kids who hadn't unblocked their chakra, after all even a neighbor or a friend who is a ninja can do this, but this war keeps on…haa] instructor Hiragana looked tired, but quickly recovered

[ But you don't have to worry about this, after I'm done with your chakra paths you'll be taken to your new residence… while I'll be here all day] instructor Hiragana said realizing his plight.

But I didn't feel bad for him, not one bit. 'Don't think I've forgotten about your past actions devilish instructor, you can think of this as karma, Muahahaha', Of cause I didn't say that to him… BUT I WAS THINKING IT!!

While all this was going on in my head, instructor Hiragana had already put his hands on my stomach, suddenly a feeling of warmth was spreading through out my body.

[ Wow, kid that's some impressive chakra you've got for your age, I would have thought that your from the Uzumaki or Senju clan] instructor Hiragana praised

I was excited at the thought of having an advantage, ' I remember Orochimaru was hailed as a genius, was this one of the reasons, anyway it's better for me, more chakra means more jutsu ,right?

But my excitement was short lived because a I felt a sudden pop with the warmth I was feeling, immediately the warm comfortable feeling turned to scotching unbearable heat, I had never felt something like that.

" Arghhhh!!!" I screamed as fierce blue wind erupted from my body blowing up the sands under me.

[ Shit!! Kid hold on!!] I heard instructor Hiragana voice calling to me
