Ferian Pride's Dark Secret

A new dawn, a beam of sunlight shining in the room, a warm weather and the rooster going "cock-a-doodle-do".

Waking up in the morning is a hard task for a lazy one, especially when they are a teenager. Seeing the world in a dull manner yet having to act like the world is loved by them.

A young 13 year old named Joshua, the pride of the Ferus City, wakes up with a dull and spiritless mood everyday but as the one who is looked upon by many people, he simply cannot act this way.

"Another day, another needless smile on my face."

Slurping his morning coffee makes him energetic enough to put up an act that gives others happiness. Joshua aims to gain trust from people all around Ferus and the small villages surrounding it. But this young teenager had never in his life experienced the happiness that he had experienced when he committed a sin. The sin that this innocent and happy looking fellow had committed was "Murder" but no one knew or even suspected this cheerful teenager for the incident that happened three years ago.....

"Hey Joshua, want to eat something delicious that I just made?", said the Tavern Owner.

"I'm not in the mood right now sir. But I promise that I will be back to taste some of that rich flavored food that you have prepared. Make sure to keep some for me." With a smile, Joshua left the Tavern.

A traveler wearing all black suit and a veil to cover his face approached the Tavern Owner.

"Why do you all call that kid the pride of Ferus?"

"Haha, I think you are new here huh. That happy looking young lad saves the city and the villages surrounding the city from mishaps. Every year on August, the Devil's Advocates release the evil bloodhounds to eat the humans as food. This young man fends off those creatures and saves every one of us so we call him the 'Pride of Ferus'. Also, he lost his parents three years ago. They abused him and made him work for money but no matter how they treated him, he loved them. People say that his parents were killed by the evil bloodhounds and now he kills them to release stress and grief of losing his parents but no one really knows how his parents died or how he gets rid of thousands of hungry bloodhounds.."

The traveler saw the evil that was dwelling inside the young boy. His eyes also didn't seem ordinary. They looked like the eyes of a person who had killed humans multiple times. They looked like the eyes of the Devil's Advocates that lived in the Hell Mountain, a land of the dead and the Empire of the Devil.

The traveler left without saying anything to the Tavern Owner. The Tavern Owner never got to speak to the traveler or anyone again. He was found dead a minute after the traveler left. The cause of the death? Deadly poison used by the Heavenly Warriors of the Floating City, Margus. They are the sworn enemies of the Devil's Advocates.

"I never anticipated on finding one of them this quick.", said the traveler.

"Tomorrow will be an interesting day. A day filled with pool of blood."
