Chapter 10: Meetings and a plan to trip

It's been already 10 days since Ryuu and his companies arrived at Konoha.

Tsunade was in her office. Papers stacked on table and 3 shadow clones were furiously working on them.

Then Tsunade spoke "Tenzo!"

With "Yes Hokage-sama" a standard attired anbu with cat mask materialized in front of desk.

"Bring Kakashi Hatake and Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi here at once!" Tsunade commanded.

"Yes, Understood" with that cat masked anbu disappeared.

After few minutes of waiting Tenzo came in leading three jounins.

When they entered with Tenzo, Tsunade spoke "Tenzo you are dismissed"

When Tenzo vanished Tsunade turned to three jounins then said "I'm disappointed in you three"

"Do you three know what you did to disappoint me" Tsunade asked without emotion.

"We don't know Hokage-sama" They answered in confusion.

"Let's start with you Kakashi. You are not fit for teacher. You are teacher of Konoha's last Uchiha, Kyuubi jinchuurki and civilian born kunoichi. If you can call her kunoichi that is." Tsunade said.

"Hokage-sama, Sakura is top kunoichi of her graduation bunch, and Sasuke was top of his class too and still improving. Naruto is strong too" Kakashi said still not sure why is Hokage is dissatisfied.

"I made sure to collect data on your students with help of my personal anbu guard. According to data, your students aren't fit for shinobi service" Tsunade said anger forming on her voice then glared at Kakashi making him speechless.

Then continued "Sasuke Uchiha although skilled for a genin, his mental health is questionable. Most of the shinobis have their own quirks but in for his case he is mentally unstable. As for Sakura Haruno she has knowledge of only academy jutsus. She is literally incompetent and it is your fault.

As for Naruto Uzumaki he is bad at everything and only skilled in shadow clone jutsu and transformation jutsu. How dare you recommend a team like this to chuunin exam. Do you have anything to say in your defense"

"I have nothing to say Hokage-sama. I just believed in them" Kakashi said.

"Henceforth i'm disbanding team 7" Tsunade said shattering world of Kakashi.

"But Hokage-sama, What about my students" Kakashi tried to speak.

Tsunade said angrily "Silence! Sakura will be transferred to an another team. Naruto will be under tutelage of Jiraiya. Sasuke will undergo through psychotherapy. 2 days later be ready at anbu department at 06:00 sharp. I won't tolerate your tardiness. You are drafted back to anbu. You are dismissed."

"Hokage-sama..." before Kakashi could say anything Tsunade said with killing intent directed at him "You are dismissed!"

When Kakashi understood that he can't change Tsunade's mind he shunshined away depressed.

Now in the room Asuma and Kurenai were getting nervous. They didn't think the situation will be this serious when Hokage called them. A moment of silence before Tsunade started speaking again was nerve-wracking for them.

Tsunade finally spoke after like it was forever for Asuma and Kurenai.

"Asuma Sarutobi"

"Yes Hokage-sama" Nervous Asuma instantly replied.

"You can be at ease. There's nothing much say to you. It's only about your student Ino Yamanaka"

"What about her Hokage-sama" Asuma asked visibly relaxed.

"She is not much different from Sakura. Her only advantage is she is from a clan. I expect to see some improvement. Otherwise she will be out of shinobi service. Since Shikamaru is chuunin i was goint to add Sakura to your team replacing Shikamaru. But i decided to not. She will not fit in your team and will break your team dynamic, so it will be a team consisting a Jouning and one chuunin and 2 genins."

"Understood Hokage-sama. I will fix my mistakes" Asuma said finally letting out sigh.

"You can go" Tsunade said.

"Yes Hokage-sama" Asuma said. Before he left he gave reassuring smile to Kurenai then left.

"Kurenai Yuhi" Tsunade said loudly.

Kurenai flinched when she heard Tsunade then said "Yes Hokage-sama"

Tsunade while spoke reading report about Kurenai's team "Over all your team is doing well. But why didn't you do a bandit elimination mission with your team?"

"They are not ready Hokage-sama" Kurenai said.

"The forehead protectors they are wearing isn't for some fancy ornaments. They are not children anymore, they are ninja. Jounin teachers are there to prepare them for the future not to protect them from reality. They will undergo through blood ritual on their next mission. Understood?" Tsunade commanded.

"Yes understood Hokage-sama" Kurenai answered. Then asked "Is it all Hokage-sama?"

"No. I'm also withdrawing Hinata Hyuuga from your team. Sakura Haruno will replace her" Tsunade said shocking Kurenai.

"No. You can't Hokage-sama. Please reconsider your decision." Kurenai pleaded.

"It is decided. There's no need to worry. It is only in the name. She will occasionally work with team 8. I'm going to take her under my wings." Tsunade said.

Kurenai was happy that her student was going to taught by Hokage but sad at the same time. She considered Hinata as a little sister.

"I'm happy that Hinata is finally getting attention she deserves but why?" Kurenai asked.

"She caught attention of my apprentice Shizune. She said Hinata helps hospital staffs whenever she is free and Shizune saw talent in her. She will work under Shizune. If she is really talented as she said i will teach her." Tsunade said.

"Sadly Hyuuga clan won't take it well" Kurenai said sadly.

"I will deal with Hyuuga clan head personally. It seems clan heads of Konoha gained too much power in my sensei's reign. Also i expect to see improvements in Sakura. You can go. Before you meet your team summon Hiashi Hyuuga to me"

"Understood Hokage-sama" With that Kurenai shunshined away with smile.

After Jounins left one by one Jiraiya came out of corner of the room.

"Tsu-hime, Kakashi will be depressed. You were too hard on him" Jiraiya said.

"No. He needs a wake up call. I gave him one. If you want include him on Naruto's training. I will give him some free time between his missions. " Tsunade said.

"I'm so stressed. Sensei had made so much mess." Tsunade said tiredly.

"Maybe he had gone soft with old age." Jiraiya said then brought out expensive looking booze making Tsunade smile "Why don't we share a drink while waiting for that Hyuuga" Then they started drinking.

After a while when the bottle was almost empty, with a knocking Hiashi Hyuuga came in with his head held high.

After entering the Hokage office Hiashi greeted with slight nod " Good morning Hokage-sama, Jiraiya-sama"

"There's no need for pleasantries. I summoned you to talk about your eldest daughter" Tsunade said.

"Yes. I heard you wanted to discuss about Hinata from Kurenai" Hiashi said.

"I'm withdrawing Hinata from team 8" Tsunade said.

There was no visible reaction from Hiashi. He simply said "Disgrace"

"She will become a combat medic-nin. She will study under my apprentice Shizune. When she is up to my standard she will study under me." Tsunade said with frown.

"No. I refuse" Hiashi said emotionless.

"I'm telling you this just out of courtesy. The decision is final" Tsunade said keeping her anger in check.

"I still refuse. As her clan head i won't allow it" Hiashi said plainly.

"I'm your Hokage! I decide what to do with my soldiers. Don't try my patience. Unlike my sensei, i won't tolerate any insubordination." Tsunade said with loud voice and started leaking killing intent.

Hiashi knew he couldn't push too far. He knew Tsunade's temper and started calculating.

'It might be a chance to grow Hyuuga clans influence even more through Hinata.' Hiashi thought inwardly, outwardly he said gritting his teeth "If you wish so Hokage-sama" then stormed out of the office.

"What a mess" Tsunade said with tired sigh.

"He is at more advantage Tsunade. He is pretending to be angry. If it wasn't it would have escalated to something serious. Is she that special." Jiraiya asked.

"I'm a Hokage, Jiraiya. I can't take back my words and appear weak in front of others. I have to maintain an image of a strong leader." Tsunade said.

"By the way what about Danzo and elders?" Jiraiya asked.

"I will deal with them soon. They have stayed on power too long. Ryuu said he has found some dirt on them and found a way to remove them efficiently and waiting for opportunity. When time is right i will remove them in one full sweep" Tsunade said.

Jiraiya just nodded at her seriously then without word he left.

Meanwhile Ryuu was chocking Sasuke with his chakra chains on the rooftop of the central hospital.

Sakura was pleading for mercy, Naruto was just standing there without knowing what to do.

Flashback few minutes ago.

Ryuu was heading to the Hokage office to meet Tsunade.

He was going to leave Konoha to Kusagakure to retrieve Karin Uzumaki. He planned to bring Naruto along to let him see cruelty of shinobi world. After all he can't protect him all the time. Letting him experience was a key to his mental development and getting rid of his naive point of view.

When he was walking he suddenly stopped.

'Before visit mother maybe i should bring Naruto along' He thought then started to search for Naruto's chakra signature.

He was nearby and seemed like he was on high place. His chakra was fluttering chaotically like he was in fight. He also sensed another chakra signature. That another chakra felt cold and darkish in nature.

He thought 'Who is he fighting? Let's see how is he faring against his opponent after the training'

Then shunshined near where he felt Naruto. After arriving outside of the hospital he started to walk against hospital wall and without taking much time he reached the rooftop.

When he reached the rooftop of the hospital he saw Naruto charging rasengan and Sasuke charging chidori.

When Sakura tried to run between Naruto and Sasuke he thought 'What an idiot' then willed his chakra chain materializing it instantly then grabbed Sakura's foot then he threw her out of the crossfire.

Just as Sakura avoided crossfire narrowly two jutsus collided.

Naruto and Sasuke were thrown back from the impact of collision. Naruto hit concrete wall hard and was dazed. As for Sasuke he hit fencing net and it absorbed the power of the collision.

Sasuke recovered fast and formed chidori again then dashed to Naruto. Unfortunately Naruto was still dazed and couldn't react.

Sakura just shouted "Noooo!" Helplessly.

Seeing this Ryuu made his move. He instantly appeared in front of Sasuke and held his hand that was sparkling. Then said "Enough. You are the winner"

Still with adrenaline flowing strong Sasuke tried to stab Naruto.

Without taking chances Ryuu threw Sasuke with judo throw hard on his back.

Sasuke immediately jumped back on his feet then tried to attack Ryuu. It was his biggest mistake.

Ryuu sent him flying with kick at his stomach. Before he could fall chakra chain manifested from Ryuu's torso then wrapped around Sasuke's neck stopping his momentum almost breaking his neck then lifted him up strangling him.

Ryuu said with emotionless face "Know your place trash"

Sakura shouted "Release Sasuke-kun!"

Ryuu glanced at Sakura then released killing intent at her.

When Sakura felt the killing intent aiming at her she froze and stood there helplessly tears forming in her eyes.

Flashback end.

"Uzumaki-san. Release Sasuke. He won't hold on much longer" Kakashi said.

He saw what happened few moments ago. He didn't get involved when he saw Ryuu save Sakura from harm's way.

He was disappointed with Naruto who started to charge rasengan first. But he was disappointed more at himself and Sasuke for teaching him the chidori and Sasuke trying to kill his teammate.

He thought regretfully 'Now i'm beginning to see why Hokage-sama disbanded my team'

When Ryuu heard Kakashi he tossed Sasuke at Kakashi like as if he was a sack of potato and said simply "Keep your student on tight leash Hatake-san"

Then Ryuu turned to Naruto "Meet me at Hokage's office after you finish your meeting with your team." Then he vanished leaving suffocating atmosphere.

Naruto said softly for an answer "Yes aniki", even though Ryuu was long gone already.

Naruto was now glaring hole at floor. He couldn't bring himself to see directly at Kakashi's eyes.

Sasuke after few cough he collected his bearing. Then demanded from Kakashi. He was angry at himself because only few seconds ago he was at someone's mercy. "Who was that. Is he related to Naruto"

Kakashi was getting angry. He said "He is Naruto's older brother. If you don't change your attitude sooner or later you will get yourself killed."

"I didn't teach you chidori for you to use it on your comrades. I'm disappointed in you" Kakashi said strictly.

Sasuke just scowled not taking it to the heart.

Then Kakashi turned to Naruto then said "I'm disappointed in you too Naruto. How could you use a dangerous jutsu like rasengan on your teammate. If it wasn't for your brother Sakura would have been fatally injured or worse could have died"

Naruto was still glaring holes at floor without uttering single word. Sakura was keeping her silence too.

With sigh he decided to drop the bomb.

"I have an announcement. From this day forward Team 7 is disbanded officially." Kakashi said.

Naruto and Sasuke stayed silent. Only Sakura shouted "No, you can't do that"

"It's not up to me. Decision was made by Hokage-sama. At first i was against this. But seeing what's happening now i can't argue. You are expected to be at Hokage-sama's office tomorrow at 9 o'clock." Kakashi said.

As soon as he finished his words Kakashi Shunshined away with lots of self blame.

Sasuke simply left by jumping over the fence of the rooftop.

Naruto left using stairs.

Sakura was crying silently.

Kakashi didn't shunshin far away. When he appeared behind the water tank that was on the hospital's rooftop Jiraiya arrived.

Jiraiya patted on Kakashi's shoulder with worried smile then asked "Are you okay brat?"

"I don't know anymore Jiraiya-sama." Kakashi said then asked from him "Am i really a bad teacher?"

"Yes you are" Jiraiya said. This made Kakashi even more depressed.

"Let's talk while drinking" Jiraiya said then both of them left.

'Why am i so weak' Sasuke thought. This thought reminded him of his brother's word about him being weak. He was getting more and more angry with each passing seconds.

He will never forget this humiliation rest of his life. He never felt this helpless since Itachi and Orochimaru.

"Know your place trash" These words were resonating in his head loudly.

Sasuke didn't notice he was being watched while brooding.
