THE MAGISTRATE

Later

Yeon found Taluipa's upholding of a "children's hell" too much; they already died young. She claimed it's to help them reincarnate faster, but Yeon thought the whole system needs to change, starting with King Yeomra. She was outraged with anger hearing her brother's name, and she threatened him to rip out his tongue for his disrespect which he finds unnecessarily primitive.

Yeon tried to butter her up with some coffee and works to convince her to use her seeing power to find Ji-ah's parents. The problem was that she can't see them, meaning they're neither in the human nor in spirit world.

"Ask the people who took them"

At work

Ji-ah's team head turned out and runs into the station's CEO.

It was the Rang's associate who was currently raising the imoogi!

He greeted Ji-ah warmly

"Congratulations miss Ji-ah on your High ratings of the show"

Elsewhere, Yeon approached the seemingly drunk, homeless man who Ji-ah piggybacked that time. He was the village guardian spirit Old Man Jangseung who guarded the Fox Ridge.

Yeon smacked him around a bit until he divulges that someone called "the Magistrate" knows about Ji-ah's parents.

Yeon clearly wasn't pleased at that news. His expression shows that he was confused and concerned.

Over lunch

Team Leader Choi questions Ji-ah about why the CEO is so friendly with her.

Her secret? Don't be intimidated. Team Leader Choi sputters about how it's not his fault that he cowers.

While they were eating, Sae-rom looked out of the window and sees a unfamiliar but extremely handsome man staring at them , she gasps at the handsomeness when she spots Yeon through the café window.

Ji-ah stared at him in shock and tries to look inconspicuous. Yeon doesn't mind and strides right up to her,

"Let's go"

"....."

He drags her off while her colleagues gasps..

In the car

when Ji-ah was asking questions , Yeon turned the special playlist , he made to suit Ji-ah's tastes, as they head to get info on her parents.

Meanwhile, Rang aslo dangled Old Man Jangseung over a building.

He asked about a mythical object: a tiger's eyebrow. Old Man Jangseung first claims he hasn't seen it but seemed to change his tune after some coercion.

Ji-ah and Yeon walk through a living history museum – Bukchon Hanok Village, perhaps? – and he goes off to check things out and asks Ji-ah to stand at one place only . (They were looking for "the Magistrate")

The museum was actually looking like a festival where there were dancers, several stalls, and some fortune tellers.

When Yeon came back, Ji-ah was nowhere to be seen. He wanders around and spots her up ahead wearing a hanbok*. He follows her onto a bridge and makes his way towards her.

He stares intently at Ji-ah in the hanbok, struck by memories of Ah-eum. Ji-ah warmly smiled at him

"I was looking for you"

Overcomed with emotion, Yeon rushed forward and placed a passionate and tender kiss to her. Ji-ah had never felt this kind of feeling , she wanted to push him away but couldn't, his touch , his breath were mesmerizing...

After a moment, Ji-ah lightly pushed him away.

"Is the woman you just kissed--me?"

Yeon's silence confirmed Ji-ah's guess.

"I am not the shadow of your past. You have to either live in past or in present"

They both stare at each other, Ji-ah face didn't show much emotions but the look in her eyes said it all -- the look of sadness and disappointment , but she still hoped it was not true.

At the station,

Sae-rom spamed Ji-ah with messages asking who the handsome man was. She could tell they had some relationship, but she was surprised because Ji-ah was infamous for bombing dates. Ha.

Yeon and Ji-ah took a walk through the forest by the village. Ji-ah placed her hand on Yeon's face and said him to look carefully at her and say whether she looks like Ah-eum or not. Yeon simply looks and smiles at her , their face were just a few inches away from each other and IT WAS AWKWARD .

Ji-ah was so panicked that she could barely look Yeon in the eyes.

When Yeon pointed it out, and she's all,

"Look at the fish!"

He grinned sheepishly at her, while she acts super interested in the lake, finding her awkwardness really cute.

Yeon stared unabashedly at her, making Ji-ah regret her words from earlier that he should "look carefully at her."

Back at the station

Jae-hwan thought they've seen Yeon somewhere before

"Don't you think his face is really familiar, I think we have seen him before"

"Of course not! if I had seen him before then I would never forget his handsome face"

Both we arguing over his face

Team Leader Choi came up, berating them for not working. Then he asks if Ji-ah has replied yet. Pfft.

At the traditional village

Yeon told Ji-ah that they're there to find the Magistrate who knows about her parents. He lives like a human but is one of the four mountain gods. Ji-ah is wowed that they're meeting a god,

"I also am one of the four gods"

"Nope, you were 'expelled' from that position,

" Huh~ I totally quitted on my own, and I was the strongest of the four gods, I still am!!"

Looking at his cute pouted, handsome face, Ji-ah felt like pinching his cheeks, he was so cute, how can he be the harshest god?!

he was too cute to believe that he can even kill anyone ♡

These type of nostalgic villages were the best places for spirits to hide. Yeon didn't bother to search for them since he knows they'll come to him by themeselves .

Sure enough, a group of performers gathered and stared at Yeon.

Ji-ah and Yeon went to to a fortune teller's for fun and have him read their past lives. He whips out his cell phone and snaps pictures of their faces.

"Are you using an app!"

Yeon asks incredulously.

Yeon was impressed when the fortune teller correctly surmises that Ji-ah was a princess in her past life, but then he says (after peeking at his app) Yeon was an industrialist who died building the Han River Bridge.

Things turn more serious as he claims one of them will die if they stay together. Yeon glared as the fortune teller said their destinies never should have intertwined.
