Chapter Sixty Six: A Visit To The Garden

"None of them were blind," Tharnis replied calmly, his gaze at the same level with Reuben.

"You made her blind?" He raised his eyebrows. "When was this?"

"Two days ago," Tharnis answered. "The reason you probably did not see her around. She was recovering."

Reuben nodded. "You should have allowed it to be a public thing. You do know if there is one thing the people of Vharmnire love, it is the blinding of a slave."

"Might be a good sport but I prefer for my slave not to be ridiculed," Tharnis said with a fight smile. "How is your daughter? I heard she ran mad upon drinking the blood of the wolf."

"That is entirely your fault," Reuben seethed. "We have combed the city and there is not a single soul with red hair. Only the girls blood is the remedy."

"My apologies uncle," Tharnis bowed. "The girl escaped long ago."
