Chapter Sixty Nine: The Chaotic Dinner

It was dark when Velma woke up. She felt around herself and discovered she was sunk in a plush and soft bed, covered in a thick and heavy blanket. She say up slowly, wondering where she was until the realized by the dim glow of the moon that filtered through the partially lit curtain.

She was in Tharnis room and on his bed. Just as her eyes began to travel round to search for Tharnis, the moon disappeared behind a cloud.

Just then, a pair of red beams penetrated the room and she saw his figure standing in a corner.

"Your eyes were not red before," she commented with a yawn, rubbing her eyes.

"They were not open," he said plainly.

Velma nodded and stood up, feeling around the bedside table for a match to strike a candle. She found one and struck it, using the flickering light to find a candle. The match went out just as she spotted a candle so she lit it again and then finally lot the candle, the dim light glimmering and lighting up the room
