Chapter Seventy Four: A Sob Story

She took off her footwear and clothes after scouting the area and having the confidence that no one was spying her. Walking towards the crystal clear stream, she took in a deep breath and put her toe in.

The water was icy so she retracted her left foot abruptly, shivers running down her spine and goosebumps spreading across her body. All he hairs stood up.

Deciding to be braver, she dipped the whole of her left foot in and waited till she got used to the cold feeling, then she put the second foot in— still standing by the muddy bank. The water only submerged her foot up to her ankle.

She walked in slowly, until she reached the centre of the stream— the water dancing slightly above her chest. She submerged her head completely for a few seconds then walked out of the water, repeating the process seven times.
