Not waiting for Evgenikós, Velma walked forward, her hand drawing the facade away. It was as though a curtain had been draped over that part of the world to shield everyone from what lurked inside.
How had I not even noticed this? She asked herself as she took in her surroundings.
The atmosphere was heavy with a sense of foreboding as Velma stepped into the dimly lit space. The surrounding walls, painted in a deep shade of black, seemed to absorb what little light filtered in through unseen cracks. Strangely enough, she could see what was in the market clearly when there was almost no light source. When she looked up, Velma discovered that there was no sky above her, only an endless expanse of darkness that seemed to swallow everything in its path.
