Chapter One Hundred & Seventy - Nine: A Multiple Of One

The old man said nothing but stared silently at her.

"Do not bother denying it," Velma rolled her eyes, walking past him into the shop. She has seen similarities in the aura of Wixej and the man in the painting shop. As Velma had had experience with Evgenikós duplicating magic, she had sensed a similar yet different energy within Wixej but had not taken much thought to it until now.

The only person other than the somewhat pleasant with she has traded gold coins with, was Wixej.

"I said it is fifteen gold vampire coins to enter," came his voice from behind her.

Velma ignored him and walked towards the veiled paintings.

"Do not force me to use my powers to forge you out. You shall not like the results."

"I would like to see you try," Velma said, pulling down the veil of one of the paintings. She turned to face him, just to get a reaction. "What? You are not using your powers anymore?"
