The System

That was all Samuel had heard before the sight of his half finished breakfast was replaced with a being that could not be described as anything but alien. It had the same physiology as a human, two arms, two legs, a head but that is where all similarities had stopped.

It was complete white in colour having no mouth, ears, or eyes and despite the fact it clearly wore no clothes it did not seem to possess any genitalia making it look closer to some form of aberration than human.

Samuel looked at it with confusion and fear greatly disturbed by what was going on.

"Welcome"

His eyes widened in shock. The white being had just talked to him in his head, something so unbelievable that he almost started to believe that he was going crazy. That was until he heard it again.

"Welcome" It repeated rather eerily

Its voice was neither masculine or feminine. Samuel also failed to detect any emotion from the mind-talking being making everything it said all the more creepy.

"What are you?" Samuel stuttered, clearly not able to hide his fear for whatever the hell was going on.

"Would #686393937395 - Samuel Orogen want an introduction into the Tutorial and The System?"

"Yes?", Sam replied still entirely confused on what was going on.

Samuels view had changed again to one where he was now floating in a vacuum of space. His heart tightened and panic was about to set in.

"The system detects an increase in Heart Rate from #686393937395 - Samuel Orogen, according to PROTOCOL-786 measures shall be taken to calm down the being"

-- CALMING SEDATIVE WILL NOW BE APPLIED TO SAMUEL OROGEN --

Sam suddenly felt like all prior fears had vanished and was now in a much more calm state. Although no longer panicked he still wore a grave look on his face.

"#686393937395 - Samuel Orogen does not need to worry as this is only a vision and he does not currently reside in space"

Samuel would never claim to be an otoku but even he had read enough web-novels to begin to understand the situation he was in. A being that could manipulate emotions, give him visions, not to mention the being talking of a system and tutorial.

Before he could further think about the situation the genderless voice spoke in his head again.

"The induction will now be given"

Samuel resumed focus on the white being trying to gleam anything that could explain this peculiar situation he had got himself into.

"I am what is called a manifestation of the System made to assist Individuals of the the multiverse when the System deems it appropriate. Every being on earth right now is going through there own induction pertaining to the System and what it entails for them"

"Even animals?" Asked Samuel, clearly interested into seeing how these manifestations would communicate with other animals residing on earth.

Why had he asked such a trivial question and not perhaps bombarded the being with questions on the safety of his family and friends, well it was because he never really had any to begin with.

It wasn't that he was unbearable to be around or anything but just that he wasn't the best communicator and that often lead to some very awkward social interactions. His parents had also passed away when he was young leading him to live in an orphanage for much of his young life.

This lead to him having no deep relations with anyone but he was much use to being a lone wolf so it never really bothered him.

With saying that, he did maybe have one person out there he would call a friend. Samuel briefly thought about him for a second but quickly brought himself back to his current situation. Depending on if this whole system thing followed the troupes of the web-novels he had seen in any capacity, well...

… he was more than assured his 'friend' would be fine.

"Yes, even animals are getting there own induction"

Samuel stayed silent awaiting for more information about the system to be given and as like the being could read his mind he followed up with his explanation.

"When you are returned back to earth it will no longer be as it was. Your planet will be fused with others that contain Intelligent life within your sector and you will be teleported to a random location, although it will be in the vicinity of other humans."

Samuel listened further surprised at the power this System seemed capable of wielding.

"When back on this planet #686393937395 - Samuel Orogen can gain experience from a plethora of activities to level up and evolve, expanding your origin and chronicles"

Sam looked back in confusion "Origin and chronicles? What is that?"

For the first time since the meeting with this being it did not respond instantly to a query but stood in silence for a few seconds.

" #686393937395 - Samuel Orogen does not have the appropriate authorization level for this question to be answered"

Sam could only nod his head in reluctance clearly wanting to know more about this origin and chronicles, but figured trying to gain that info without the right authorization level would lead to no where so he asked his next question.

"Why"

It was this that was bothering him the most. From what he had gathered this System was strong. No, strong was the wrong word. It seemed it was almost godlike in ability. Why would something like that turn its attention to earth.

"The System has both omniscience and omnipotence. Everything that has happened and will happen is known by the system. Any ability or power that can be imagined can be done by the System. It is beyond any mortal to know its aims in full but it's primary objective is the expansion of the multiverse."

Samuel nodded knowing that it was as much information he was going to be given on the topic. Next was the question he should have probably asked before anything else.

"And the Tutorial? What does it pertain of?"

The system manifestation replied.

"Don't think of the Tutorial as an event but rather a grace period where the System will answer any queries that a individual wants to know while they reside and grow on their new planet, granted they have the appropriate authorization level"

The white being then looked of into the stars in the distance for a second before returning its attention back to Sam.

"The Induction Phase time has run out and you will shortly be transported to a random location on your planet"

"Wait, I have so much more questi...."

Before he even finished speaking he had vanished leaving the white being alone the vacuum of space.

It stood in silence once again looking into the stars that surrounded it in space.

"Interesting", the faceless being marvelled.

If Sam was still there he would have been shocked for you could hear emotion in its words.

"That ones Bloodline....

Samuel Orogen was it, I shall keep an eye on him"

And with that the being in question vanished like Sam had only seconds prior and the space around it shattered almost like it could no longer contain 'its' powers.

It was only far into the future that Sam realised that what he met that day was not a manifestation of the System but something way more sinister.

For that was THE VOID GOD, Phalenozus.
