Chapter 29: Meeting the Skinner!

"Fuck! I should never have told him. . ." I exclaimed.

"Arthrall, it is ok. He had to tell her, or else you won't be able to get so many quests." Arialle tried calming me down.

"I guess you are right. . . Give me a sec, I'm going to read the quest that I got last night." I told her.

I rummaged through my pocket, and pulled out the quest paper. I opened it to read it.

[Make a pair of bracers]

[Sesto Mills would like a leatherworker to make him a pair of bracers. He has the materials, and he will be at Sheppard's Leatherworks at noon.]

[+200 Experience Points will be given once the quest is completed.]

[+30 Silver will be given once the quest is completed.]

"Alright, perfect. What time is it?" I then asked her.

"It is close to 11am. Why?" She asked.

"We gotta head over to Sheppard's now then, because the guy will be there at noon today." I told her.

"Oh alright then let's go." She commented.

It took us about 40 minutes to get there, because we stopped and got us all something to eat.

"Hey Arthrall, what are you doing here?" Sheppard asked me the moment he saw us.

"Hey Sheppard, I'm about to do a leatherworking quest. The problem is, I don't know what the guy wants me to use. So I was wondering if it is too hard, would you mind helping me? I can pay you half of the money." I asked him.

"Don't worry about paying me, I will help you" Sheppard smiled at me.

"Thanks! He is supposed to be here at noon" I told him.

The moment I told him that, a man walked into Sheppard's area.

"Sheppard, I put out a quest yesterday to have some bracers made here. Is that ok?" The man asked.

"Yeah that is fine Sesto, as a matter of fact. Someone already is here to craft them for you." He told Sesto.

"Really who?" Sesto said excitedly.

"This young chap right here. He is an Apprentice Leatherworker that was trained by me. He also has very steady hands, but if it is a material that he can't do then I'll help out." Sheppard then pointed at me.

"Hello! My name is Arthrall Pendragon, nice to meet you!" I told Sesto.

"Hello to you! My name is Sesto Mills, it is nice to meet you too." He told me.

"So what type of bracers are you looking for me to make?" I then asked him.

"Just some simple leather ones, made out of Wolf Skin Leather." Sesto told me.

"HAHAHA. . ." Sheppard started busting up with laughter.

"What is so funny Sheppard?" Sesto then asked.

"Arthrall literally just made those last night! So he can take care of you without my help! I'll get back to what I was doing then. Say hi to the wife, and kids for me when you leave!" Shppard said while walking away.

"Oh, so you've already made these before?" Sesto then asked me.

"Yep, I've actually got them on me right now." I said to him while showing him my bracers.

"Wow these are finely made. Well then, here you go. Here is the leather!" He said to me while handing me the leather that popped out of nowhere.

"Alright, now I need to know what type of weapon you use." I then told him.

"I use 2 Rapiers." He told me.

"Alright, then let me see your arms that way I can measure them." I told him.

He handed me his arms, I then measured them, and got the correct lengths. I then grabbed some paper from the side of me, and drew out the templates I needed. I then cut the templates out, and placed them on the Wolf Skin Leather. I then drew around the templates pretty quickly. I then took the knife, and started cutting the leather. After I was done with that, I went over to the barrel from yesterday, and grabbed some black leather strips. I walked back over, and then cut the strips to the right width. I then took the hole puncher, and punched holes into the leather. After all of that was done, I took the strips of leather, and started criss crossing them into the bigger pieces of leather. After about 2 hours, I had the bracers completed.

"Here are the Wolf Skin Leather Bracers!" I handed him the bracers.

"Wow these are amazing, he wasn't lying when he said you could do it. I've already paid the Adventurer's Guild the money to give to you. Just head up there, and turn in your quest! Thank you again!" Sesto said to me, then walked away.

"Sorry to keep you waiting for a while Arialle, let's head back to the Adventurer's Guild, and turn this in. After that, let's go find a skinner next." I told her.

I was about to walk out when Sheppard said something behind me.

"Hey if you need a Skinning Trainer, I know the best one. Come back here after you are done, and I'll take you to her." He told me.

"Alright, will do Sheppard!" I told him while walking towards the Adventurer's Guild.

It had taken us about 10 minutes to walk back to the Adventurer's Guild, and once inside we found Faylin.

"Hey Faylin, I need to turn in my quest from last night." I told her while handing her my ring, and the quest paper.

"Alrighty, just give me a quick moment!" She said.

It didn't take her too long to finish watching the video. She then turned back towards me, and handed me the 30 Silver.

"Thanks Faylin! I will be back tomorrow to look at the quest board!" I said while turning around.

"Later Arthrall!" Faylin said.

"Alright, let us head back towards Sheppard's." I said.

"Ok, I'm getting a little hungry. You want to stop by, and grab a snack? We can grab Orion and Onyx a snack also." She asked me.

"Sure, let's do that first then." I said.

We walked towards the food stalls, and bought our snacks to eat along the way. I also stopped by a red meat vender, and bought 2 small slabs of meat from him. I gave one each to Orion and Onyx, which they devour it instantly. Arialle and I ate our snacks slowly, while walking towards Sheppard's. Once there we saw Sheppard talking to someone.

"Hey Sheppard, we are back!" I said to him.

"Ah here he is. This is the boy I was telling you about Maryra. Arthrall this is Maryra." Sheppard then said to me.

"Hi Maryra!" I said my greeting to her.

"Hey there Arthrall, Sheppard here has told me about you. So you want to be a skinner too huh?" She asked me.

"Yes! I would love to be a skinner also. I'm a Ranger, so I figured I would need professions that would benefit me." I told her.

"You are correct, being a Ranger is really helpful when it comes to Leatherworking, especially skinning!" She then exclaimed.

"Nice! I hope I will be as good as I am at leatherworking!" I exclaimed.

"Oh you will be! Now follow me, I will take you to my shop." She then motioned us to the direction she wanted to go.

"Later guys!" Sheppard said to all of us.

"Later!" We shouted back.

It didn't take us too long to reach her shop. The building wasn't huge, but it wasn't small either. The sign on the front said Maryra's Skinners. She opened the door, and motioned us inwards. Once inside, all we could see was barrels with leather skins inside of them. Behind another opening we saw something red on the floor. It honestly looked like a skinners place here.
