The System's Way of Life

Mark, short for Marcus, is a boy- age 16 -of average talent. He had no hope of ever becoming something great or walking among the higher echelon of the world. He was destined to be either cannon fodder in a war somewhere or an average worker in and out. He had one redeeming quality, his tenacity, his unbridled passion for magic combat, however, it seemed that in this age it's talent decides the life of each and every one of us. This is how it seemed until one fortunate day when Mark got struck by lightning... well, maybe at the time it may not have seemed as if it was fortunate but after... well, he received a system of great potential. ____________________ A simple generic story, helps me write if I work around stereotypes.
