The Syrinxes & The Queen Bee

A lonely girl was deceived into being captured by a race of powerful winged mages to give birth to their kids. The hated fate of their Queen Bee was complicated by the appearance of other more powerful magicians who flew to their colony from another planet. Intro  Welcome to the universe of syrinxes - winged vampires, a multi-gender community. For two thousand years, powerful magicians have been in an endless war with the flesh-eaters Zirux, who outnumber them, so they recruited mortal people to help, colonizing 22 planets and forcing women to give birth to half-breed offspring for the needs of the war. The story begins with the first book, The Syrinxes of Zaria. The action takes place on an abandoned colony seven years away by space ship from the main stronghold of the planet Xantari, ruled by five ancient Archons.

Avilena was completely delighted when she rode the shuttle and entered the palace. Obviously, the girl had been locked up all her life, and the sudden freedom turned her head. She constantly smiled and jumped for joy, spinning in a luxurious long dress, like a blissful person. When she saw the fragrant, luxurious garden with beautiful statues and fountains, she began to run and dance around it with bursting happiness.

Kamily noticed that Avilena was not at all embarrassed to communicate with Lariel, Erin and the guys who came to visit. She seemed not to notice their attractiveness and, without a shadow of embarrassment, asked them various questions about their culture and magic.

"Tell me, how does the human body differ from the syrinx? Why don't you eat? Why is life so long? How to become immortal?"

Lariel was very glad that the new girl had no desire for him, and his friends were confused by the fact that she was not fascinated by them and seemed not at all interested in amorous connections.

Someone always came to the palace to visit the Queen, and Avilena could talk to anyone without hesitation; her sociability and spontaneity surprised everyone.

One day she turned to Kamily to express her admiration and gratitude.

"I really liked your folk and the city is so beautiful. Everyone is so smart and well-mannered, they will always answer any question. I want to become a princess and help you rule the kingdom."

Kamily raised her eyebrows in surprise:

"It's very nice to hear such words about my folk, but you still need to learn something about the morality of our society and the direct responsibilities of a princess."

"I already know that the princess must help the Queen give birth to children from different men. I don't see any problems."

"You react so calmly to this! Suddenly! I had a completely different reaction to this news."

"I believe that you always need to sacrifice something for the happiness of living in such a developed society, where everyone is so responsive and caring about each other."

"You are wise beyond your years, Avilena. You could easily live on Xantari, from where I fled. You are so practical, and I like it, I need someone like you. After initiation, you are supposed to choose your own man. What do you think?"

Kamily did not take her eyes off her, probing her thoughts.

"Have you liked anyone yet?"

'They are all perfect, and too attractive, it is difficult to choose just one. They seem to have no flaws. They are like works of art - brought to perfection."

"Find the best one, maybe your heart will tell you. The first two princesses fell in love very quickly."

"Yes, I talked to them, they were captivated by the appearance of the chosen ones, and then by their character. A beautiful appearance can be deceiving and does not give an idea of the character."

"You surprise me more and more, where does such wisdom come from for a young, inexperienced girl?"

"We have a library of ancient books in our settlement; it miraculously survived the alien invasion. I read a lot while locked up. Not all people could understand the writing, but I managed to."

"I wonder what is written in them? I haven't read a single book."

"Philosophy, politics, culture, all the knowledge about the ancient kingdoms of people. There is fragmentary information about syrinxes, I learned a lot here. That's why I went with you, I wanted even more knowledge. But it turned out that in such a developed society there are no books, so I had to ask everything."
