Opening The Store And The Guild Hall

" I guess we didn't come here for nothing " said Arthur looking around for possible loot.

" The Legendary quest was a surprise, I wonder how much time we will take in order to clear it. " said Athena.

" Of course, we're getting these quests because I'm here. " said Doux, striking an embarassing pose, but he himself didn't care and thought it was cool.

At the beginning, Doux was quite serious but as they started to knew each other, they realized Doux's personality was that of a embarassing uncle even though he was not that much older than the rest of them. To bad for him, his audience wasn't particularly fond of this type of humor, so he often laughed alone.

Vita managed to find two rare treasure chests and a chest that looked like it wasn't a game feature. Arthur decided to open the weird chest and what greeted him was a pile of gold coins. He could not believe it, this amount of gold coin could very well put them ahead of the other guilds by quite an amount. They could buy shops and a guild hall with this. Of course the others could not believe it aswell. Arthur started to throw the gold coins in his inventory and gasped at the amount of wealth this vampire had.

System: Obtained 1264 gold coins.

In the Vaenith Empire, this much would propel someone to the small nobility in an instant. But this money would be used for the guild matters.

" Alright now we have enough money to get the shop and a guild hall, we just got 1264 gold coins. " said Arthur

" Hahahah, the game is smiling at us ! " said Vita.

" Anyway I need to tell this to Maria so that we can start our plans, this much money will be nothing to us in the future. "

In fact, Arthur was sure that it was nothing for someone like a Vampire Baron but for him it was a heaven sent gift. He needed to disconnect for a bit to call Maria and tell her about this since she was not online right now.

Once he logged back in, he told his teamates that the shop will be under construction in a while and that they needed to search for a position for the guild hall as they would need to start recruiting.

Constructing a guild hall costed a thousand gold coins in Panum City, as it was only a Small City.

They could either choose an already existing building or make it build by themselves, but of course they had to pay for it. Fortunately, they had 240 gold coins left and that was largely enough to build something luxurious. Maria contacted every craftsmen that she marked during her exploration and used the money to hire them for the guild hall.

Panum City was not a big city for the empire, and thus was not well separated by clear limitations that Maria saw in bigger cities. Here, expensive mansions were next to the shopping district. Which was stupid for the city, but was good for Arthur. The main point of focus of players in a city was the shops, so building the Guild Hall not too far from it was the decision to make as it would be easily seen. Moreover the Guild Hall could be built close to the shop that was currently under construction and Arthur had to admit that NPCs were working really fast.

He chose a location worth the 1000 golds. It was a vast empty area with only abundant plants and trees. Arthur then searched on the internet a construction that could promote this green environment and spent an hour reciprocating the building in the game in form of a blueprint. The estimated cost was 150 gold coins so he simply sent the blueprint to Maria who started the construction immediatly.

Maria then joined Arthur's group since she needed to take every flintstones Arthur had on him and also meet the players he recruited.

The group discussed a bit waiting for the Guild Hall to be built. The shop was already done a while ago. The time they had to wait for the building to be done was one hour. It was humanly impossible to build something this grand in a mere hour but Arthur guessed magic helped.

In the meantime, they hired a Tier 1 receptionist to manage the shop. Compared to combat jobs. Although utility jobs had level, the important thing was Tiers. Utility Jobs wouldn't gain anything with levels. They even gained levels passibly, although it was a slow rate. Doing what the class was supposed to do would raise one's level much quicker. For example, Maria gained extra EXP from setting up a shop and building a guild hall. But she didn't gain anything related to her job. She only gained attributes points. In exchange, when someo,e with an utility job gains a Tier, they have much more rewards than combat classes. A tier 1 receptionist is much more likely to sell things to NPCs and can bargain with NPCs compared to tier 0 receptionist for example.

Maria obviously chose a beautiful young female, even if she costed a bit more because of the fact that 70% of the players were males, but even this was a revolutionary ratio compared to traditional games. Arthur could see Marian with a grin that went up to her ears because she kept getting notifications that people were buying flintstones. Obviously, they also sold equipments that they didn't use anymore, but they didn't have much yet. They was only 6 players in the guild right now but when the popularity of the shop rise, that's when the Guild Hall would be done and then the global announcement will make the sales explode, or that's what Maria said.

Global Announcement: Congratulations To The Guild Eclipse For Being The First Guild To Have Built A Guild Hall. Rewarded 10 000 Guild Reputation And 1 Guild Prestige.

Guild Prestige was a ressource even scarcer than guild reputation. At 10 guild prestige, the guild could rank up, gaining countless bonuses and being able to recruit more people. The guild prestige was only winnable in 100-man dungeon, or regional dungeons and in those sort of rewards. Eclipse having already two of them was considered a huge advantage over other guilds.

The Big Guilds didn't like the message that just appeared. Arthur and his newly founded guild were getting too much of a lead over them. They just received words of the attack that Arthur used to decimate their players. He was too dangerous. Many players chose to leave their guilds to try and join Eclipse now that they had a place to officially recruit players. Basically, until one had built a Guild Hall, it was an oral recruitment. But with the Guild Hall, one could put official test that were recognized by the system. The system would then display results of every player who tried to pass the test.

Maria and Arthur already decided to go the elite way, so they made the requirement really hard but still doable. Their objective was obviously atleast 100 players. But they didn't except that Arthur and Eclipse fame was that strong. Maria received atleast 3 times more notifications about sales in their shop since now words got spread that Eclipse was selling Flintstones. Player's biggest need right now would probably be ways to repair their equipment without being too expensive, so flintstones were perfect. There was already way more than a hundred players in front of the Guild Hall waiting for a possible recruitement. A couple of them were level 13 experts. Arthur even spotted one or two level 14 players.

Maria quickly finished the recruitement procedure thanks to Arthur's advices. There would be a test for each class. Arthur used as a template the test he had for the swordsman class for every physical class and a pure physical test to test the player's attributes, and Flaming Flower actually adviced two tests for damage oriented magical classes aswell. One pure combat test and another knowledge test . It was known that players could come up with their own spells as magical classes but it required knowledge about the game's magical languages. There were a lot of them, but only the basic one was allowed for early level players. Flaming Flower's test wasn't hard, she just wanted to filter players that didn't even try to search for the language.

The system provided any equipments and instances necessary for the tests for free, so they could do as much as they wanted. Finishing the tests, they opened the recruitement notice. The players outside were notified of the recruitment order if they got close to the Guild Hall and would get teleported to an instance each based on their class.

Considering the difficulty of the tests, they only had hope to get a 100 players.

A shorter chapter than the recently added one. As I'm an inexperienced writer, I have problem writing chapter in which I don't have a clear image of what is going to happen, as in my head this chapter was " win gold " and " start recruitement ".

Thanks for reading. Probaby no double chapter today sorry :(
