Beatrix got up from her bed when she heard the knock on her door.
Rhys had left to go and attend to some business and Damien wasn't around so she was left alone.
She couldn't even pay attention to the book
As she sat alone in her room, Beatrix couldn't help but feel the emptiness that had settled in her chest.
Even though it's been only three days since Damien had left, she missed him terribly, and each day felt like a heavy weight that she had to bear alone.
