Chapter 2

In the forest, Jack was walking while looking around. He had been walking for a few hours and had found nothing. He also had already searched his clothes to find anything, but he found nothing. Deciding to take a break to rest, Jack touches a tree and sits down so he can get some rest.

Closing his eyes, he begins to control his breathing. This was a technique he had learned in his past life. This technique made him recover his strength faster and concentrate better. As much as Jack's eyes were closed, he was still paying attention to his surroundings. Suddenly, he heard a noise in front of him. Opening his eyes quickly, he saw an animal coming quickly towards him. The animal was quite strange, at least Jack doesn't remember seeing any similar in his life. The animal was about 2 meters long, had red hair, black eyes and had 3 horns just above the nose. He was quite similar to a boar, but Jack knew that, unlike normal boars, this animal that was coming towards him did not have the best of intentions.

Rolling quickly to the side, Jack dodges the animal's attack. The animal attacked with horns on its face, butting its head. The animal's attack didn't hit Jack, but the tree he was leaning against. The force of the attack was so great that it felled the tree. Seeing this, Jack frowned, he knew that if this blow caught him he would probably have his bones broken.

Getting up, Jack takes his sword out of its sheath and steps back a little. Due to the impact, the animal got a little dizzy, but he recovered quickly and turned to Jack, running towards him right after. Jack knew that facing the animal head-on would be stupid because of his horns, so he decided to back up and run. The animal caught up with Jack quickly. Picking up momentum, Jack used a tree for support and took a mortal back. The animal went under Jack and hit the tree. While passing over the animal, Jack quickly struck the animal twice. The first blow was deep and the second was superficial, the two hit the animal's back.

Screaming painfully, the animal turned and looked furiously at Jack. The animal started to lose a lot of blood, especially when he started running towards Jack again, and he seemed to be in pain, so much so that his running speed was greatly reduced. Picking up a stone on its side, Jack hurled it and hit the animal's right eye. The animal screamed in pain and ended up stumbling and falling to the ground, due to the speed it rolled out a few meters. Taking advantage of this, Jack approached quickly and cut off the animal's head before it could recover.

Sighing slightly, Jack swings his sword to wipe the blood away and puts it away. Stretching the sword, he says with some sarcasm

"It looks like I'm still old, my back is killing me ..."

Looking at the animal's body, Jack decides to pull out a part of the animal, then clean it up in any way he can to hide the smell of blood and take it somewhere far away to eat. He knew that the smell of blood could attract more stonemasons, something he wanted to avoid at the moment. After a few miles away, he sits down again and makes a fire to eat the animal's meat. Of course, he didn't know whether the meat of this animal could be eaten or was poisonous. But after spending a few hours in that place, he had found nothing. So he decided to take a chance and eat the meat.

Luckily, Jack had found a small river near which he drew water. Now that his hunger and thirst had been quenched, Jack started to think about what he was going to do now. He had been walking for hours but still had found no sign of human life. This was starting to worry him, he should find a civilization as soon as possible.

"Thinking about it won't do any good, I have to keep walking and pray to find someone"

Getting up, he starts walking, not knowing which way to go, he decides to go north. Jack has tried to climb a tree to try to get a better view, but it didn't help, the only thing he could see was trees and more trees.

Jack walked a little further, just when he planned to stop. Jack starts to hear footsteps coming in front of him. Without thinking twice, he hides again, thinking it was another strange animal. Only to his surprise, it wasn't a monster anymore, actually people running. Jack saw that there were 2 men who looked to be around 30 years old running with two axes in hand!

One of the men who was bald and had a scar on his cheek cursed:

"Fuck, James! Our luck really sucks. We soon found a stone dragon !!"

The other man who had big black hair that reached his waist replied:

"Damn it, Ralf! Put your energy down and keep running"

Jack was only able to see the two men who were running desperately. Obviously he decided to stay hidden, he didn't know it was these two or what they were running from. Just when Jack planned to escape from this place, he started to feel the ground trembling and started to hear a huge noise.
