Chapter - 5

As I gazed out of the office window, I marveled at the breathtaking scenery that lay beyond. Unlike the tall buildings of my world, this place was a haven of tranquility, surrounded by nature's beauty. Lost in the peaceful ambiance, my father's voice jolted me back to reality.

"Also, your fiancée will be coming to visit you soon, so make sure you welcome her and show her around."

My heart skipped a beat as I processed the unexpected news. The classic cliché of the male protagonist facing an unexpected fiancée plot seemed to be unfolding in my own life. Doubt clouded my mind – would she too consider me unfit and useless, just like the Draconians had?

Lost in thought, a fragment of memory surfaced. I recalled being engaged to someone from the prestigious Leviathan family, a higher hierarchy than ours. Why she chose me, a seemingly ordinary person, remained a mystery.

Summoning my resolve, I assured my father, "As you wish, Father. I will be on my best behavior."

His stern expression softened slightly. "Good. Have Sebastian escort you two tomorrow."

With a nod, I accepted the task. I returned to my chamber to further understand what I can do to stop being useless. I need to make a to-do list in case things fail but before that I need to go through my memories.

Next Day.....

"Knock Knock"

"Come in" I said while getting ready for today

Sebastian opened the door and said "young master your fiancèe is waiting for you in our garden"

"Coming now"

Stepping out of the building for the first time, I found myself transported into what seemed like a scene from a historical fiction TV series. The garden surrounding me was a breathtaking sight to behold, but my attention was quickly drawn to a small table setup beneath the beauty of nature. Sitting there was a fairy, surpassing anything I had ever seen. Her long black hair cascaded down to her waist, framing an oval face that bore no blemish. Her bright blue eyes exuded an otherworldly glow, but what struck me most was her cold expression, as though she belonged to a realm far beyond mortal comprehension. Could it be true that I was engaged to this fairy-like being? if its a dream then please don't wake me up.

I approached her and bore my best smile possible.

"Hello Young Miss , Hope you have been well"

"Yes Sir Lukas , I have. Hope you have recovered well from your mishap" she said with her cold expression which bear no smile nor emotions but with unexpected smoothening voice.

"Yes, Thank the elders I suppose"

"I have welcomed to ask you of something which I hope you can help me with"

"Sure How can I help"

"Lets cancel our engagement" She said that with no hesitation.

Leslie Leviathan, eldest daughter of the Leviathan family who exceeds in almost everything, even the royal family princes have their eyes set on her, Be it magic or combat she owns the stage. everyone knows she got engaged with a useless like me without her will due to our parents secret promise which I am not sure of.

"Can I ask Why?

She looked at me with zero interest and said "I don't think we are good for each other, this engagement was originally our parents wish but I have no interest in accepting it.

Which means I AM not worthy of her? why does everyone keeps telling me I am unworthy? Damn this body memories are entangling with my heart, Why do I feel this much despair ? Damn it control your emotions this is not you.

My hands were closed fist and was trembling from frustration, just when I thought I lost hope in this world with nothing on my hand, I heard a voice.
