Second awakening

He took off his shirt and saw three long injuries left by the attack from the dead wolf. It came down from his shoulder,down to his chest.

"Ahhh..,it hurts. Thank god it isn't deep. I can still manage after resting for a while". He said to himself as tended to it. While he was busy with his wound, he occasionally heard the huffing of beasts running past the cave entrance. Because of the carcasses of the dead magical beasts, a fight started within the beasts as they fought for who would eat the carcasses. For the beasts to evolve,they had devour treasures rich in spirit qi or devour their fellow beasts.

'Thank godness I left there quickly otherwise I'll become food for these beasts. I'll need to leave as soon I can move my arm' he thought as he tore his shirt and used it to bandage his arm. By then,the battle of the beasts had ended,as a giant black python slided to the wolves and started eating them while looking warily at the other retreating beasts.

'Another magical beast,just how many of them are there in this forest?' He peeped through a tiny opening of the covering at the cave entrance.

He went back in to rest before taking out the fruit he had wrapped up in a piece of cloth. He looked at the fruit which was glowing and was mesmerised. It was around a fist size and looked delicious. It also smelt good and Charlie was tempted to eat it. He tried to keep it back and test it later in case it was poisonous, but the temptation was too great.

He bit down vigorously on the fruit, finishing it after two bites. He ate another one as he felt it was too delicious to ignore. He totally forgot it was a treasure and was supposed to be cautious so as not to cause harm to himself.

After finishing it,he was about to eat the last fruit when he started feeling something warm in his stomach. He realised he had messed up and meditated to find out the effects of the fruit. As he meditated, he noticed that the warm energy was making it's way to his psyche, he panicked and tried to stop it but he found out he couldn't control it. So,it made it's way to his soul and then something astonishing happened.

He suddenly feel onto a daze as his body went through another change. The injury on his shoulder healed instantly. His body started secreting a putrid black substance as it grew slightly in size. Well defined muscles started appearing on his body as he also became bulkier. Then,all of a sudden,a roar sounded.

The image of a giant dragon appeared behind him. The dragon had two wings and a very long body. It was golden on colour and looked similar to the ancient Chinese dragons. It had four thick and powerful looking limbs with five claws in each limb. The scales all over it's body made it seem as if it had a scale armour. Along with it's curved horns,long whiskers and beard could strike both fear and awe in anyone's heart.

The dragon roared and all the beasts that heard the roar trembled and prostrated on the floor. They couldn't even raise their heads. The dragon image radiated an aura of a king that stood above all others. The dragon image stood there proudly for a while before disappearing. The prostrating beasts also fled for their lives,including the snake that was devouring the wolves. Charlie also opened his eyes as at that moment. He felt powerful and full of strength. He roared out,sounding like a dragon. He looked around for a while before walking out of the cave.

"I can't believe I awakened another martial spirit. And a dragon at that. It made me stronger again. I feel like I can topple a mountain with one punch" he said proudly as he walked up to a tree and threw a punch. With a boom sound,the tree snapped and fell.

"Hahaha...I'm this strong now?, and I just started cultivating. Hahaha.. what a magical fruit. If I were to sell it, I'd probably make a fortune "he laughed and said. But soon after he smacked himself in the forehead.

'How can I have such a stupid thought? If the news of me possessing such a treasure were to spread out to the public,I'd definitely be hunted down for it and in the process,I might end up dead. I'll guess I'd keep it a secret for now' he thought as he wrapped the last fruit in a piece of cloth and kept in the small bag he carried in his bag.

"What's that horrible smell and where Is it coming from" he frowned as he perceived a bad smell.

"Hmmm?,it's coming from my body" only then did he realise he was covered in filth that had secreted from his body.

'I need a bath' he thought while walking towards the river he passed through on his way here. He got there and dived into the river and took off his pants and underwear. He washed them and left them on the river bank to dry before washing up. After he was done,he caught a fish and roasted it beside the river bank stark naked,knowing that there wasn't anyone in the forest.

'I've never heard of someone awakening twice or having two martial spirits . I don't think it's normal though. And there's no way of asking anyone. I need to find out. I guess it's time to leave,it's been more than a month'.

'Where do i head off to now?,I can't return back to star fall city yet so where do I go?' He wondered as he lied down on the ground, thinking about his next course of action.

'Other than star fall city, there are three other cities and one country in this region '. Star fall city was only one if the cities in this region known as the star region. In the star region, there were four cities and one country. There are star fall city,stardust city,starlight city,shining star city and the stardom country,with stardom country being the strongest and star fall city being the weakest.

Outside the star region,there were said to be other regions but he had no knowledge about them. Having grown up in star fall city,he had not been able to leave. He would have also been lost if not for the map in his possession.

'I'll also need to solve my money problem. After all,I can't possibly go and beg for money. Being a hunter wouldn't be bad' there were different types of professions also and hunting was one of them. Hunters go out to hunt beast and sell in city. Hunters also receive missions for hunting a particular type of beast and are paid for it. Sometimes,Hunters cam receive missions to capture the beasts alive. It was a lucrative job and it had a hunters guild where people can give missions and Hunters would carry them out.

'Also,bounty hunting ain't also bad'. Bounty hunting was another type of profession. They go to their bounty hunters guild were they accept missions like escorting merchants,hunting people e.t.c. He thought as he laid there for a long time.

'OK,I guess I'll be heading for stardust city then. It's not the most powerful and it's far away from star fall city. Besides,it's the closest to the boundary of the star region and also shares a border with stardom country.

'I'll head there and earn some money before leaving. Then I'll also go over to the stardom country and experience it's might for myself '. He stood up and got dressed then he picked up his bag. Just as he was about to leave,he heard a noise,he turned to that direction and saw a huge splash of water. He became curious and started walking in that direction. He still remained wary though as it might be something dangerous. He held his sword and walked over as quietly as he could. But before he could get there, he saw a head pop out of the river.

Then he looked carefully and realised it a girl. She just happened to turn her face in his direction and their eyes met. Charlie saw a beautiful teenage girl of around his age,with black long hair that was floating in the river. She had a lovely face as well,making her seem like an angel. Charlie was surprised before recovering his bearings. The girl on the other hand was surprised to see a shirtless boy a few steps away from her. But soon,she remembered that she was naked and was about to have a bath.

"Ahhhh..., You! Who are you and how did you get here?" The girl asked on panic.

"No! Wait! Turn around first and stop looking at me!!" Charlie then realised that the girl probably came here to take a bath and was embarrassed as he had walked over out of curiosity.

'Curiosity they say kills the cat' Charlie thought as he turned around.

"I'm sorry,I didn't know there was anyone here and only came over as I heard something. I thought it was a wild beast. I apologise". Charlie said,with his back facing the girl. The girl hurriedly swam to the shore and picked up her clothes before dressing up in a haste.

"You're lying. You came here to spy on me while I was bathing. Pervert!!" The girl said angrily as she started walking to him in large strides.

"I'm not lying to you. I've been here for more than a month and didn't see anyone in the forest. You're the first person I've seen here". Charlie explained as he turned around and saw her walking towards him.

"Wait,did you just say you've been here for over a month?" The girl asked.

"Yes,I'm not lying. I didn't even know you were there". Charlie continued explaining.

"Are you alone, because I can't see anyone else here" the girl asked out of curiosity.

"Yeah, I am. Is there a problem with that?" Charlie asked with a curious expression.

"And you're still alive" she asked with shock. As Charlie was about to reply, he heard the sound of hurried footsteps rushing towards them.
