C28. Arrogant Bao Sheng

The person who called out for elder Kao, his tone was exceedingly cocky and he had no respect for anyone. He hadn't even looked at any of the customers at the other counters.

The associates at the other counters, however, were dumbfounded. Forget about stopping him, they didn't even dare to look him in the eyes.

No ordinary person could act cocky and demand to buy a sixth-rank herb that was treasured by the Medicine Palace. The price of the sixth-rank herd could easily exceed one hundred thousand Silver coins which was by no means a small amount.

Kai Chen dared to demand it because he had the Golden Dragon Jade Medallion with him otherwise he would have been thrown out instantly.

But this person who didn't even possess the medallion could act cocky and had come to buy it as if it is some cheap herb. Had the value for the sixth-rank herb decreased or did this person just have a tremendous amount of wealth and influence in the capital city?

He was standing next to Kai Chen demanding to buy the sixth-rank herb. At first, Kai Chen ignored him, he wanted to meet the elders and give the full recipe and discuss the profit share and leave the Medicine Palace with the sixth-rank Hostas herb.

The associate went inside the hall and walked out with a man in his 50s. It was the fifth elder of the medicine Palace. "Who wants to buy the sixth-rank herb?" The fifth elder asked.

"Me, me! Elder Kao, do you remember me? I'm the son of the duke of the Braveheart Clan, Bao Sheng. Bao Ling is my father!" That cocky teenager started boasting about his father the duke to the fifth elder.

The Braveheart Clan was one of the most preeminent clans in the Azure Kingdom, it ranked amongst the top five. Therefore, the elders from the Medicine Palace recognize him very well. Since the elder Kao was a greedy and opportunity-seeking man favoring Bao Sheng was bound to happen.

As soon as the fifth elder saw the Bao Sheng he rubbed his hand like a salesman and said, "Oh Young master Sheng, It's so good to see you here!

Are you the one who is buying the sixth-rank herb? Which herb do you want?" The fifth elder completely ignored Kai Chen like thin air and started licking the boots of the person right next to him named Sheng.

"I was in need of the sixth-rank Hostas herb." Kao Sheng Said.

"Ah, is this Hostas herb for you, or your father?"

"Elder Kao, don't ask any questions. Just know that your nephew needs this herb at any cost. Quickly name a price, I will come back and thank you later."

"Hehe, If the young master is in a hurry then I won't take much of your time. The Hostas herb is priced at two hundred thousand silver coins. Hurry bring out the Hostas herb for the young master." Elder Kao said to the associate.

Kai Chen had borne their chatter and laughter for quite a while already. His eyebrows arched as he knocked on the counter. "I say, aren't you missing something here? Business is first come first served."

Since Kai Chen's said it in loud voice, it resounded in their ears like an irritating voice. Both elder Kao and Bao Sheng seemed to have only just noticed Kai Chen. They both gave him a weird look.

They had a very bratty expression on their face. It seemed to say, and who the hell are you? How the hell did a beggar sneak inside the Medicine Palace? Both of them had an expression of disgust, like looking at some garbage.

"Whoever this rich fool is, fellow, I ask you. Wasn't I the first who came first to purchase the Hostas herb?" Kai Chen insulted Bao Sheng seeing his disgust toward him.

The associate would have never thought that another buyer would walk through the doors in such a short period. But Hall's absolute rule was hanging out there, and he couldn't dare to offend another guy with the Golden medallion. But Bao Sheng was also not a person he could offend. He opened and closed his mouth, but was unable to make a sound.

"Fool...? Did you just call me a fool? Me? The son of duke Bao Ling? The heir of the Braveheart Clan?" Bao had bloodshot eyes. It was the first time someone dared to call him a fool in front of his face, nonetheless some random poor-looking guy.

Since it was prohibited to fight inside the Medicine Palace Bao Sheng restrained himself otherwise he would have killed him on the spot.

"You. You want to buy a sixth-rank herb? Do you even have a single penny on you? Everyone knows that our Hall doesn't do business on credit." The fifth elder berated Kai Chen to score some points and get on the good side of the Bao Sheng.

"Well said Elder Kao. This is the Medicine Palace's Hall not some slum where baggers can enter wherever they want." Bao Sheng also joined and started to humiliate Kai Chen.

Kai Chen swept Bao Sheng an indifferent glance, but didn't have the interest in talking to an idiot. He only stared at the fifth elder and said, "Are all Medicine Palace elders like you? Fools? I said I came here first to buy the Hostas herb. Does the Medicine Palace respect the order of priority?"

Elder Kao was an old hat who had seen her fair share of big scenes, He sensed that Kai Chen was trying to anger him. He said with a cunning smile. ", we definitely respect the order of priority. But as I said before, our hall don't do business on credit do you have money to buy the Hostas herb? From what I can see you are only here to make a ruckus. Since you are only here to disturb our precious customers, I have to call the guards and throw you out of the palace."

As soon as Elder Kao Opened his mouth to call out the guards a loud voice echoed in the hall. "Who said he is not a customer!"
