Chapter 3: Going To Planet Odeus

In front of a spaceship "Breaking Dawn", a young man was standing emitting confident and imposing aura. This man is Lieutenant Ethan...uh, Lieutenant Commander Ethan kane.

For the last two months, he focused fully on recovery, exercising and training his body. The hatch of the spaceship opened and a young man with a perfect face, chiseled jawline walked down from the ship.

Ethan looked at the young man, he was about nineteen years old and his femme fatale face made Ethan feel a little uncomfortable.

Looking at his shoulder, he had the rank of Command Flight Sergeant. This shows achieving the rank before the age of twenty, he's talented with a bright future. Forgetting he himself attain the rank of Lieutenant at the age of twenty.

*Saluting

"Bruce Willis reporting for duty Sir"

Ethan frowned, as he only saw Bruce and nobody else. As if knowing what his young superior was thinking, he tried explaining but Ethan beat him to it.

"Where are the rest? Why are they not here?" Ethan asked, with an indifferent expression.

"Reporting, two companies and three thousand star troopers are on a mission and the rest are to defend the base" Bruce replied with an unnatural expression which quickly reverted back to normal.

"Oh, ok. Let's go then" Ethan said while walking to the spaceship.

Walking behind Ethan, Bruce was in deep thought 'how could I feel a sense of danger from him when he asked me questions? Interesting, he's different and 95th Federation fleet battalion is going to be lively in the nearest future' a strange light flickered in the depth of his eyes.

Four o'clock in the afternoon, in a military base on planet Odeus. The Asmodeus-Destroyer class named "Breaking Dawn" docked.

This was the first time Ethan came to planet Odeus ever since he began his military journey.

The base was built on the orbit of planet Odeus. It consist of a medium grade space city with forty star ports and two small warp gate for the city residents usage which is under the strict supervision of the military.The Federation Fleets; including the 20,000 warships of the Fourth Fleet under the command of Admiral Collins Bob and countless civilian ships were stationed here.

"Is this the Odeus base? It's grand and spectacular" Ethan looked at the scene in front of him through the observation window of the space ship. There were no less than 1,000 warships docked and it spreads as far as he could see.

Thinking that there are 20 of such military ports, Ethan couldn't help feeling excited and reaffirming his determination to defeat the Cartons and avenging his brothers who died unjustly.

Soon, the Destroyer docked in the port of the space city which was the headquarters of the planet Odeus Base.

After getting off the ship, Bruce Willis escorted Ethan to Admiral Collins' office and left. Before leaving, he didn't forget to welcome Ethan to the base.

"Ethan Kane reporting for duty Sir" he saluted.

"At ease Lt. Commander Ethan; Have your seat" he replied while checking for a file.

"This is your appointment, have as look"

After handing the appointment to Ethan, he sked his adjutant to notify Chen Xue to come.

Ethan took the documents and glanced at them. He was shocked, Admiral Collins actually gave him a fleet right off the bat!

The content of the document states that with your selfless act in defending against the Vortans and the recommendation of the Admiral of the ninety fifth Fleet, Admiral Collins Bob, Ethan kane was exceptionally promoted to Lt. Commander of the 95th Federal Fleet Battalion, and at the same time, he is assigned as the commander of the 1st Mixed Fleet of the Ninety Fifth Fleet.

"The 1st Mixed Fleet is the latest experimental fleet of our Ninety Fifth Fleet. There are 139 warships in total, which includes 9 Carriers, 9 Battle Cruisers, 18 Cruisers, 33 Destroyers, and 70 Frigates."

While talking, Chen Xue entered and saluted

"At ease, Lt. Commander Ethan; this is your adjutant Chen Xue"

Ethan looked at Chen Xue. She was about 20 years old and her beauty didn't lose to any famous celebrities, coupled with her heroic aura she was emitting. The most eye catching is the epaulet indicating she's a Lieutenant.

'so this cold beauty is my adjutant, at least it's not some random guy' Ethan cheering inwardly.

"the1st Mixed Fleet in your hands, don't let me down!"

"Yes, Admiral!"

"Good, you're dismissed".

Ethan saluted and exited the office, Chen Xue follwed
