Author's note: this is from Duke's point of view

I frowned at the spectacle in front of me. Serina told me that we should come to greet our guests and entertain them for a day or two, and that would be it.

After that, there was a high probability they would stay, but they would move to houses in the town, which meant they wouldn't be my problem, so I was fine with it.

Unable to watch them act like a bunch of woosy imbeciles, I stepped forward and released a wave of my aura, carefully directing it forward so I didn't impact Zoe, Luca, and Ash. I was practicing.

Werewolves froze, and a moment later, they lowered their heads. Well, at least the noise stopped.

"What are you doing?" I asked without bothering to hide my displeasure. "If I understood you last time, you want to follow me. Do you think I will accept a bunch of whiny bitches?"
