22 THE SUPERNATURAL SIDE

*Diana's POV*

This guy was the black shadow…I kept looking at him astonished.

"Don't look at me like that since it's not my body. He's just a host."

"What do you mean?"

He barged inside my house and kept walking. "I don't remember telling you to come inside?"

"Well the owner of the house is dead and it's under nobody's name so...I can come in."

"What the hell?"

"Ahh...you don't know right! Let me tell you then. You know right you are the Guardian now which means Vampires, witches, wolves, warlocks, foxes, fairies and all that supernatural stuff is actually real. And about vampires and shadows like us, we can't enter a house until and unless the owner invites us in and if the owner is dead then the house doesn't have an owner anymore which means we can enter. BOOM!"

"Well, I haven't signed the papers yet because I'm not 20 yet. Anyways, why are you here?"

"Don't you remember I told you to join hands with me? Together we can do a lot of things. Get back on your friends and I have some revenge to take on."

"I don't care about getting back at people so get the hell out of here. And leave me alone. I don't want to join hands with you!" I said and started to walk towards the door when something he said made me halt.

"Sebastian, is that guy doing okay in your room?"

I turned around as I said, "What the hell do you want?"

"For you to join hands with me and turn back on all of your friends and only work for me!"

"And what if I say no?"

"Remember how Liam died? Next will be your friends then. I can gladly kill them."

My eyes widened at his words. He was the one who killed Liam? I was speechless when he continued "Well, Sebastian isn't a good bait. What if I kill Lucas or Samantha? Huh?"

I grabbed his collar and gritted my teeth while I said, "Don't you dare touch them. Tell me what I have to do?" I had no choice. I had to do it. I can't let him harm my friends or any human. He took out a pouch from his pocket and placed it in my hands. He came near my ears and whispered "open this pouch when you give a good farewell to your friends! And you'll know what to do next." And just like that, he went outside.

The Next Day

I didn't sleep much. I was thinking all night long about what I should do but there was only one answer. To help or join hands with that black shadow. What does he even want? I saw Sebastian coming downstairs as he asked "What happened last night?"

"Long story short I left you downstairs and some guys just barged in and hit you or whatever when I came down you were all unconscious and the wound was torn so I just changed your dressing and shirt again and you never woke up and were sleeping really comfortably on my bed. This happened!"

"Woah I don't remember a thing."

"Are you kidding me, Sebastian? Like some random guys just barged inside my house and you can't even do a single thing? Like man up man!"

*Sebastian's POV*

I was hurt when she said to 'man up' I mean I'm still weak until I turn 20.

"Don't you think you should mind your words?"

When I looked at her she seemed to be frustrated but what she said next sort of shocked me

"Sebastian! Look, I'm sorry. But can we be normal today? Like 'normal' normal? I don't want to mess up my day today."

I was speechless. She just buried her anger? This felt so right but something was wrong but what was it?

"Also, did you dry clean my jacket? It was expensive."

I just stared at her with my blank impression. She was going upstairs when I stopped her and quest said "Aren't you going to college? You already took two weeks off and returned on Wednesday and came to college on Thursday and now today is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday. Aren't you coming to college today?"

*Diana's POV*

I really wanted to go to college but how will I face Samantha? And how am I supposed to go through today? I turned around and said "I'm going to change don't worry I'll go to college"

He smiled slightly and I caught him and asked "Hey, I mean just asking no offence but do you like me?" He gave me a disgusted look and I knew I was done there. "Fine you don't like me but don't look at me like that. That's the weirdest stare I've ever gotten"

While I was changing I thought of what I should do with Samantha and Caleb. I know it might hurt them but I have no choice. I wore my mask and looked one last time in the mirror " Wait a minute. That black shadow said I'm supernatural. Will I have covid if I don't wear this mask? Anyways let's just go. I locked the door of the cottage and was on my way to college when someone just booed and I was startled.

"Oh My God! Are you for real Sebastian? You startled me!"

"You should have looked at your face"

"Just get the hell out of here Sebastian. I'm in no mood to talk to you" I passed him when he said, "I know you are a Guardian Diana!"

I was shocked. How did he know? Was he one of the creatures?

"Let's skip a few classes. We gotta talk and for real this time."

He bought us in the middle of nowhere in the forest. I was looking around when I saw two big enormous stones standing. One was covered with purple borders while the other was half purple and half red. The stones were huge but they looked beautiful.

I asked, "What is this? And why are we here?"

He stood in front of me and extended his hand as he said, "Do you trust me?"

His eyes told so many things. As much as I was scared of holding onto his hand but I was sure about one thing that if I was in danger he may protect me. I held his hand, he smiled and started walking towards the stones. We were standing just in front of the stones. Sebastian said, "Close your eyes."

"What? How am I supposed to walk then?"

"Just trust me!"

"Ugh! Fine!"

I closed my eyes as we walked. I felt the time changing as if the world was collapsing, my happy memories came to me and that's when Sebastian told me to open my eyes.

I was awestruck. We were standing on a hill and I could see the small city from there.

"Where-am-I?" I said as I was mesmerized by the beauty of the place. The cloud was painted in the dark shade of blue with a hint of pink. The hill was full of green grass and smelled fresh. I could smell the soil as if it rained. Everything looked perfect! But there was only one question roaming around my mind: where was I?

"Welcome to Meta Ta Physica! The home to Supernatural creatures!"

My eyes widened as he said the word Supernatural. So he was a supernatural creature and he knew about me.

"What are you? How do you know-"

"Well! Let me introduce myself to you again and this time without lying. I'm Sebastian Murray Marshal. I'm nineteen. I haven't gained my ancestral powers yet and I'm a Warlock. You wouldn't have believed me if I had told you all this before. But now that you are a Guardian you will believe me."

I couldn't keep track of how many times I was shocked today. He was a Warlock! I read that the strongest clan of Warlocks were the Marshal's and that's when reality hit me 'Sebastian Murray Marshall!"

"Wait a minute if you are a Warlock then your friends…-"

"Yes! We all are Supernaturals. I'm a Warlock, Emilia is a Witch, Jade is a Fox, Dylan is a Vampire, and Lucas…"

"Wait, Lucas is one of you?"

By the look on Sebastian's face, I knew he didn't want to tell me about Lucas but he proceeded as he said "Lucas is a wolf."

I froze at my spot. Lucas was a wolf? He knew about all this but never once wanted to talk about it. I mean we were close friends. Although we had some arguments, how can he? The term that would be perfect for this situation would be shaken up. Sebastian couldn't say anything; he just kept stealing glances at me.

"How long have you known that Lucas was a wolf?" I asked

"High school? I mean I have known him for a long time but he opened up about being a werewolf when we were in high school. He was at our side. We knew he was something but didn't know what. So when we became close he opened up."

"By any chance...umm...do you know who he told first?"

"Diana, do we have to do this?"

"Yes! Because I feel like I don't know you guys anymore. These months I got to know so much about you all but now compared to this that just seems … Nothing! So yes Sebastian we have to do this."

"Crystal. He told her first. She was always there for him whenever he needed her. And he can never hate her."

"Crystal," I whispered under my breath so Sebastian wouldn't hear me. I scoffed softly.

"Anything else that I need to know about you guys." I continued.

"Follow me."

I did as he said. We kept walking. I was still shaken up by the facts that Sebastian stated earlier but walking with him without knowing the destination and just enjoying the journey made me relax a little bit. After walking for a while he halted I didn't know and bumped on his back.

"Sorry!"

"Do you even look in front of you while walking?"

I just looked at him and didn't say anything when I noticed a whole town among the clouds? We were walking on the hill and now we had reached the clouds?

"Well we are in the clouds but… when you go inside it. It's just normal."

"I won't fall right?"

He chuckled softly and extended his hands yet again, but I wanted to tease him and said " "Am I a kid? I can walk alone on my own. I don't need your hand."

"As you say milady" he bowed and signalled me to move on. And I did. I couldn't believe my eyes, the place was so pretty. When I entered it didn't feel like I was in the clouds. It was all green and colourful except for the fact all the houses or places were black and brown.

"Welcome to I póli ton magissón a.k.a The witch's town! The place where only the witches reside, my birthplace, and yeah pretty much that's it."

"Why did you bring me here?" I said while smiling.

"Just like that…"

We stared at each other for a second and started walking again.

"So where are you taking me now?"

"Well let me just show you this place. There are a lot of magical things here."

While walking he greeted everybody in the town but with sarcasm. But why does he do that? We stood in front of a cave and he walked in.

"Are you abducting me?"

"Just come in already! You won't die."

I followed him inside and yet I was surprised again! The place was full of crystals and gems. The water was crystal clear and I could see the small fishes. There were rocks and I sat on one of them as I was tired. It was so calm and beautiful here.

"Is this your hiding spot?"

"Nobody knows about this place, I have made boundaries around it to refrain from anyone else coming."

"Then why did you bring me here?" I said as I was surprised.

"Don't know, maybe to make you feel a little better? After the incident last night you've been acting weird and you were disappointed when you found out about Lucas."

"Thanks!"

We sat there in silence not talking about anything. Just us and the sound of water and the buzzing of bees were heard. It was a calm time.

After a while, we left that place and I póli ton magissón.

"So this place where we are walking right now is just for common use? Anyone can stay here?"

"Yup"

He bought me into the woods and it was creepy.

"I feel so bad about this place."

"It's because the Vampires and Foxes live here. Well, it's creepy right now because they aren't here otherwise it's really nice"

"Where are they then?"

"What? Vampires and Foxes...oh please don't worry somehow they are friends with everybody and stay on the land like the commonplace."

"Ohhh...ow!"

"What happened?"

"Nothing. This branch just decided to sting me...Woah that is such a big house!"

"Now about that…"

"Tell me whose it is."

"The Lopez… They stay there. Kind of the strongest wolves. And they are called the Alpha's of the Alpha's."

"Don't even try to distract me. I know it's Lucas's. Wow!"

"Wow?"

"Lucas never talked about his family. He said they don't exist. I thought they died but now I guess he just didn't want to tell me. Disappointed but not surprised. How many more secrets do you have Mr Lucas Lopez?... Ahh...Show me Asher's place, for a fact I just know it's gonna be pretty because he is a fairy."

We walked up to Asher's place and his house was pretty aesthetic. It was brown and the garden was full of flowers. He had his own nursery!

"I wish I had a place like this!" I remarked

"Well, your cottage is like this only. It's pretty nice."

"Don't you dare compare my cottage with this mansion! Also, I'm so tired."

We sat on a bench and talked about this realm. He told me everything about everything.

"Okay, enough talking! It's getting dark and we skipped the whole day. Let's go back to the mundane world before anyone starts to get worried about you." Sebastian stated.

"The only person who will worry for me for no reason would be Lucas and I don't care about his concern!"

"Diana, he is your friend. He must have had a reason. Just talk it out!"

"Fine! Anyways you didn't show me your house. That's not fair. I mean that time you showed your house but you said you don't live with your parents!"

"Next time we gotta go now."

He said while taking out a key.

"What's that for?"

"A magical bike. It's pretty late so yeah!"

"SEBASTIAN! We were walking the whole day and now you are saying you had a ride? Seriously!"

He whistled and the ride came just like that! It was a bike, it was a black beauty with blue lights. It was pretty. While I was admiring the ride Sebastian said "hop in"

I wore the helmet and sat behind him.

"You can hold onto me. This beauty is dangerous"

"We'll see that-"

I wasn't even able to complete my sentence when he started the ride and it was so fast that I had to hold onto him tight! Even though it was fast and everything seemed blue, it was fun and exciting!"

"Do you like it?" Sebastian screamed as the sound of the engines was loud.

"I love it!"

We crossed the border and were in the human realm now. I got off the bike and took off my helmet and said "That was amazing!"

He whistled and the ride went somewhere I don't know.

"You should go home. You look tired!"

I was about to bid him goodbye when I saw the black shadow coming towards Sebastian. Sebastian was already hurt a lot. I pulled Sebastian and took the blow. I felt this incomparable heat on my body and then everything went black.
