3 Highschool and Summoning

As of now, Andrea has graduated middle school and has moved on to high school. So we are skipping straight to her second year, where she has now met most of the class. In the past two and a half years, Andrea has been studying engineering and programming. She has also joined the Yaegashi Dojo. She may not have received her father's monarch powers, but she has received his gift for short swords and also seems to be quite good with the bow. She became the national archery champion both years in middle school and her first year of high school.

When she entered high school, she also became class belle, which would have been Kaori, except she also became it when the guys found out that they couldn't get brownie points for possible dates if they went for Andrea, so they ended up with a co-belle position. On top of learning short swords at Shizuku's dojo, she also learns hand-to-hand combat and from her father and mother. Her mother worked teaching self-defense at the Yaegashi Dojo in her free time as well. Something fun to do as a housewife.

Andrea saw her brother every summer and winter when he visited on break and learned that he had full control over his powers now. She also learned that she developed a slight sensitivity to shadows after Beru was in her shadow for a few years.

Now we've arrived at this year, she's met Hajime, not really a fan of the guy and has also met Hiyama, really hates the guy. After Hajime got picked on a few times, she beat Hiyama up, much to Kouki's annoyance as a class rep and Hiyama's group's hate.

The group got slightly closer and helped each other out a lot. Kaori and Shizuku were almost inseparable from Andrea, while Kouki grew a little distant after Kaori 'subtly' mentioned she liked Hajime. Shizuku seemed like she might as well, but I'm pretty sure it's his non-existent fear of judgment. He will say anything about anything to anyone, except Hiyama and his lackeys.

Finally, there's the mini-teacher, Aiko. She's favored by the students and quite knowledgeable about anything environment-related, and I mean ANYTHING. Pretty sure she might even have majored in environmental sciences. Her family apparently runs a farm, and it's pretty successful. She became close with Hajime, and even Andrea's group is close with her. It's hard to hate a loli that's smart and dependable.

And now that those introductions and recaps are out of the way, let's start Canon, shall we? *Grins in author*

One bright and sunny morning, Andrea and the group play Uno around their desks when a magic circle appeared. Of course, the first to react is Andrea, who tried to pay as close attention to the circle's details as possible before a bright light made it impossible to focus further. The only funny part was that Ryu decided it was smart to pull an Uno reverse card he just so happened to have in his hand.

When the light finally dissipated, a medieval-style room met Andrea's sight. An old man came forward and began the introductions and started talking and ranting about this Ehit dude. "You're talking as if Ehit is the only god," Andrea says under her breath. But she underestimated the humans of this world. "YOU DARE TALK ABOUT EHIT-SAMA THIS WAY?!" They are such fanatics that they didn't even accept that line.

The guard that was standing next to the priest guy began running at Andrea, sword drawn. A clawed hand reached out from Andrea's shadow before anybody, including the other guards, could react.

---Switching to Andrea's POV---

I watched as this guard moved toward me with his sword drawn. I should be scared, I should be trying to cower, but instead, I stood there, smirking at how this guy came running at me. I had become more sensitive to my dad's shadow soldiers and even formed a small connection with Beru where I could use my dad's powers with him, but only him. When dad learned about this, he made Beru's sole job my personal everything, which he excelled at. He was a good cook, butler, assistant, and excellent bodyguard. Beru proved this as I mentally commanded Beru to reveal himself.

Beru reached his arm out of my shadow and grabbed to soldier's arm before it could reach me. "Beru, come out and play with the man, why don't you." 'Line number 14 of things I've always wanted to say.'

Beru fully climber out of my shadow, standing at roughly seven and a half feet tall and looking menacing as hell. He then proceeds to snap the guard across the hall as if he's a dog's chew toy and kneeled in front of me. "Young Miss, I was able to contact your father before we were transported and can still feel the connection. He should be able to break through this dimension's barriers in about a month or two." Nodding my head in understanding, I begin to observe my surroundings. All of my classmates were stunned and terrified, while the pope looked like he just ate a pile of dog shit.

Finally, there was a gaze on me that I didn't like. "Beru, deal with the scum." "Yes, Young Miss." He proceeds faster than anybody in the hall could see and grabs an invisible woman by the head before throwing her onto the floor at full force, creating a small crater and revealing the angel. I walk over with Beru holding her down and her glaring at me.

Her presence, once again, surprised everybody, including the priest. "Who are you?" She growls out towards me. "Me, oh, I'm nobody special. Just the daughter of the Shadow Sovereign, one of the universal gods of destruction." I then give her a grin after seeing her pale. 'I don't know if she actually recognized the title or name, but that doesn't matter.' I then give Beru the kill order as he kills her by biting her head off. "Jeez, Beru, you know my classmates might actually dislike you for that." Looking at my frozen classmates made me giggle, and Beru gets a little disheartened.

He's always been a little naive to certain people, so he quickly came to like my group. I then look back over at the priest. "Go ahead and continue. whatever plight you have, it better be enough to lose your god over, seeing as he was the one who summoned us." The people all paled at the implications of this.

"W-we have no ill will towards you, umm-" "Oh, my name's Andrea, and this is Beru, one of my dad's generals, as well as his second most powerful, putting him at one of the highest positions in Dad's army, which according to Beru, should march on this world in about a month or two unless you give me another reason that would stop my doting father and mother."

The priest visibly recoiled this time. Luckily another person came into the room just in time. A tall, buff man that wore a soldier's armor with a cape came and kneeled in front of me. "My lady, we mean no disrespect. Demons are plaguing our world, and we needed to summon assistance from another. However, we regret that it simply pulls those with the most affinity to becoming a hero, as well as the group in the same room as them. This is at least what has been described by Ehit-sama."

I sigh as this world may not have a proper protector if their god isn't even willing to help them in the face of destruction. "Sigh~, I understand." I look back at the group that has calmed considerably. I then wave my small group forward, as they do. I then look over at Beru, "Beru, sit." Yes, I just said that as if he was a dog, but he doesn't have a problem and seems to love the more simple and direct orders. "Kaori, Shizuku, come here." So they come over, and before they can stop me, I grab their hands and place them on Beru's head. I found out he likes head pats just as much as I do, with these two usually giving me them.

After the surprise ended, they continued when Beru started to purr in ant. "See, harmless. Well, as long as you don't endanger the people he has deemed to protect. This is currently limited to my small group of Yaegashi, Shirasaki, Amanogawa, and Sakagami, on top of myself. Ai-chan over there comes close, but they may be because he likes cute things." Aiko seems to blush a little at being called cute and blushes harder at seeing everybody nod their heads in agreement.

Finally, I focus back on the twitching guard and say, "You have one month to prove that you are worth being saved. After that, I won't stop my father. And even if I try, my mother, who I have no control over, might stop me from stopping him." Kouki actually pales and shakes a little at this as he's seen an angry Hae-in and wants to stay far away from it. "Is there any bonuses and reason why you believe that we could help? We're just high schoolers that really aren't special, well, apparently excluding Andrea here."

Meld was the first to react instead of the priest, earning him a glare. "There is, firstly, my name is Meld, the knight commander and will also be in charge of your group. Secondly," he signals another guard to pass out metal plates to each of us, "these are status plates. Drop some blood on them, and they will show your destined class as well as your status. A god normally assigns the classes."

I was the first to drop a bit of blood on the plate, revealing my class and status. When I saw my class, I froze and started to cry a little. Not sad, but very happy. Kaori and Shizuku were worried and rushed over once I actually lost strength in my legs and knelt onto my knees. "Andrea?! What's wrong?" They quickly run over and hug each of my shoulders, unsure of what to do, until Beru comes over and sees the plate. He then proceeds to screech to the heavens in joy. Kaori and Shizuku are also confused by this until they finally see the plate and hear me muttering "finally" over and over again. After a minute, I calm down. Beru calmed after five seconds, but Kaori and Shizuku are still confused, along with the rest of the class, so I nod at Beru, which he understands as 'go ahead and explain.'

*Cough* He waits until he has the class' attention before continuing. "When the Young Lord was six months old, he began showing signs of having received the Sovereign's power. However, the Young Miss, after 17 years, never received it nor had ever shown any signs of it. That was until recently when she formed a bond with me. The Shadow Sovereign isn't a simple class or job like in this world. It is a role. A role that grants the power to use the shadow of a departed soul as a soldier. Not to mention space manipulation and magic, but I digress. Apparently, the miss received the job of Shadow Sovereign, which may allow her to awaken her gifts and become even more extraordinary than her brother. He may have been similar to his father, but Miss' perfect memory, genius, and receiving the strongest woman in that universe's strength, she wasn't easy to hurt. Now, she may supersede her brother and become a true Monarch of the Shadows, something even her father didn't achieve."

After the explanation, everybody was dumbfounded. I mean, wouldn't you be after finding out your classmate might just become a god. *Sniff* "Thanks Bear." I give Beru a tearful smile while calling Beru the nickname I gave him, which I regret as he seemed to SKREE in joy for about a minute. After finally recollecting himself, he remembers something important and pulls the angel toward Andrea while Shizuku and Kaori grimace. He then kneels to the side and says, "Young Miss, if you would."

'After all this time, all this time of despairing and secretly crying where only Beru could comfort me, I can finally try and see.' I stand up, and the two girls release my shoulders. I couldn't keep the smile of anticipation off of my face at the thought of doing this. 'It requires a soul, and these angels seem to have one. Otherwise, Beru wouldn't have dragged the corpse over.' Finally, standing in front of the corpse, barely holding myself together, I say the words I have long awaited, saying, "Arise."
