"Yeah. Something else was mixed to inflict the curse."

"...What would knowing what other components are in the curse be useful for?"

"A lot of things! The symptoms doesn't normally trigger with regular fights, and only appears when Alena is pushed beyond her limits, right? I don't know for sure, but I don't that's how the mana poisoning is supposed to occur."

"I suspected that as well earlier. If the mana circuits were the ones being attacked, then just using any casual spell would be enough to trigger backlash inside your body."

Mana was constantly being produced inside one's body. Mana poisoning, which meant that another person's mana was infused within the circuits would act as a hindrance for regular circulation all the time, not for select periods.
