My Normal Life Ended

My name is Tyler Ramon and I am 19 years old. Today, as usual, I started my day. I woke up at 7 AM, brushed my teeth, and had coffee after a 1-hour workout at home, I rested for a while, and after that, I showered and got dressed for college.

My day starts almost like everyone else, except for the workout part, my friends and classmates are too lazy that they won't even lift a regular 5 kg dumbbell.

I'm staying alone now because my parents are living with my grandparents in another city. My breakfast usually is sandwiches because you know it's easy to make, and it's not like I don't know how to cook but nothing I make compares to my Mom's cooking.

I packed my bag and exited my house, I also rechecked if the doors are closed and entered my car. I tried to start my car but it was unwilling to start today and missing college was not an option because I missed so many classes due to sports and other extracurricular activities.

I forgot to tell you I am good at sports but being good at it doesn't promise a career. I like sports more than studying, but these days it's difficult to make a career in the sports field.

My life is nice and normal, I also work as a part-timer at a bookstore to pay for my tuition as my parents said I have to start earning money for myself. There is not much luxury but life is not hard as I have a loving and caring family and friends that I could share my worries and happiness. Life in the States is simple.

Today is my childhood friend Sophie's birthday, so I have to buy some gifts for her. I first met her when I was 10 years old when her family moved into the house next to us. At that time I thought she was a boy due to her tomboy personality and short hair, and we got into an argument about something and she beat me into a pulp, and the reason for that argument neither of us remembers now. I became a fitness-obsessed freak thanks to her as I started working out so that no one could beat me into a pulp ever again and that actually worked as no one ever tried to bully me in high school or in college.

The actual reason for going to buy gifts is because she is still a tomboy and won't think twice to make me into a ragdoll if I forget her Birthday or don't give her gifts. But still, she is my first true friend. I learned Karate from Sophie's father when we were young as he run a Karate Teaching Institute and there she was my regular sparring partner, and now both of us have become Karate black belts.

I started walking to the bus stop which is 10 minutes away from my house. After walking for five minutes I started to hear some weird voices.

" %$# *&$# @#%^ ^$#% &"

" Have I finally lost it, I started hearing weird voices too?"

" %$# *&$# @#%^ ^$#% &"

I looked around and the people, vehicles, animals, and even the birds are moving in slow motion from my perspective, after 10 seconds finally they stopped moving altogether. It was as if time itself was stopped and it didn't end there everything around me started to lose color and turned to gray.

What is happening now is something I couldn't even try to comprehend. Did aliens finally decide to invade Earth?

But the worst was yet to come, when I looked at my hands it was phasing in and out of existence. My body started to become transparent rapidly and slowly started to become small violet light particles. The worst was that I didn't feel any pain to be exact I didn't feel anything.

As my consciousness was fading the last thing I heard before my body completely turned to light particles was a female voice saying-

" Please protect the world of Arcadia and its inhabitants, Tyler, and become their Hero and hope that would lead them to victory over the demons "
