Chapter 2 Colby

As I was unloading the moving truck when I heard a dog bark so I looked over I'm pretty sure I saw an angel...she had her light blond hair in two tight French braids with a light blue ribbon tied at the end of each one, she was wearing a pair of cowgirl boots with really short jean shorts with a light pink tank top tucked into it. I wanted to know this girl, her name, if she's from here, her age, she looked close to my age maybe a year or two younger but I wanted to know everything about this girl. But before I could even think to walk over there and say hey she ran off inside.

I finished unloading and helping my mother and father unpack all the boxes and organize the new house but all I could think is about that girl I saw. Did she see me? If she did does she want to talk to me too? How old is she? Why did she run off? I needed to see her again.

As I was setting up my room how I liked it I looked out my window to see the view I had my window lined right up to the neighbors and by my surprise I saw that girl I saw earlier on the bed reading something? No she was redoing her hair with a mirror in her hand I think... I couldn't see exactly what she was doing but I do know is that I can see into this girls room! Hopefully we can talk tomorrow.

"Colby supper time!" My mom yelled.

I ran down the stairs as fast as I could to meet her in the dining room to eat steak and potatoes with a side of salad, my favorite meal!

"What took you so long are you deaf son your mother called your name three or four times till you came down here!!" My father yelled.

"Sorry mother I didn't hear you I was moving things around and I was making a bit of noise." I said even though I was actually lost in my thoughts about the girl next door.

After we ate I went back to my room after I helped my mother with the dishes. I looked through my window to see if the girl was there, sadly she wasn't but I knew she would be eventually soon hopefully.

While I waited I moved around and rearranged my room so my bed was by the window so I could lay down and see this beautiful girl. I decided I would see if my mother knew who they were I needed to know more about this girl, so I ran downstairs to my mothers room and I asked if she knew the person next door.

"It's this older couple not to sure what they said their names were umm Diane and Bob I think but they were telling me how their granddaughter would be over for the summer and she was 16, that's only a year younger than you Colby so if she tries to talk to you be nice to her she probably has a little crush on you, you are a very good looking boy." She said, at least I knew her age now!

"Why is something wrong with them?" She asked.

"Oh no I was just wondering although their dogs were being loud earlier so hopefully they won't bark throughout the whole night" I said even thought the dogs seemed like really good dogs, I just wanted to know about the girl.

"Well thanks mother good night sleep well," I said as she kissed the top of my head.

"Good night my sweet baby boy." She said as I was getting off her bed to leave.

That night all I could think about was her, tomorrow I am definitely talking to her right when I get up if she is outside or not I'm going over their and introducing myself.
