ADJUSTING

Monday melted into Tuesday, and then Wednesday, and the days began to blur as I settled into my new role.

The mornings started early, with Edward delegating tasks and outlining objectives for the day over breakfast. By mid-morning, I'd settled into a rhythm—splitting my time between our shared office and Edward's, tackling everything from reviewing investor proposals to brainstorming ways to streamline outdated processes.

I quickly learned that being Edward's right hand meant I was constantly on the move—darting back and forth between his office and the shared workspace Mark and I were now occupying, which seemed to annoy Mark even more.

To my surprise, the work itself felt natural. I might not have had Mark's experience, but I tried my best to keep up with them and learn as fast as possible. The shared office, however, was another story.
