Your Moans Woke me

Diane roughly sat up in her bed, a worried hand moved to calm the fast beating of her heart.

Her eyes narrowed in an attempt to adjust to the darkness of her campus house. Yes - this was reality.

"Ahhh.... slow down Dave". A familiar treble voice moaned in a whisper from the other edge of the room.

"Okay baby". Came the voice of her boyfriend.

Diane merely rolled her eyes in disbelief. Her roommate seemed to be doing it with her boyfriend as loud as ever-

No wonder she'd had such a strange dream!

Her right hand curiously moved from her chest down to check her underwear. "Ohh fuck!". She cursed in a whisper at how wet she was even when they'd not ended up getting down to business.

"Dave! Ohh... we're gonna wake Diane!". Gwen kept crying out between pants and the claps of their bodies colliding. They'd been roommates for three years and yet, it was still hard to get used to some things. 'This is torture'. Diane sighed at the pain of being single. For the past four years, she hardly ever dreamt - and whenever she did, it was a lewd dream about a particular stranger.

Although she never remembered his face, she could swear it was the same man every single time. And the fact that she felt refreshed after those dreams was unbelievable.

Diane slowly slid off her bed with her phone and made her way to the bathroom and closed the door behind her.

Once inside, she tapped the phone screen twice. "4:30am? Just how long have those fuckers been-". After a relaxing sigh, she merely squatted down to lean on the wall.

There were a few unread messages.

>>Josh: Happy graduation, babe! [00:12]

>>Diane: Thanks, and I'm sorry about everything but I want us to break up. You can't deny the fact that things haven't been the same since the incident some years ago. You're a nice guy and you'll probably find someone who loves you. (I promise to repay everything you've done for me). [00:16am]

>>Josh: *Laughing emojie* [00:18am]

>>Josh: Nice one, you almost got me. [00:18am]

[ 3 missed calls]

>>Josh: At least tell me it's a joke before you disappear? Diane?

[2 missed calls]

>>Josh: We were kids back then. We grew up and I still love you, so don't talk about repaying me. Please answer your damn phone. You don't need to leave me hanging like that. You know I love you more than anything in the world, goodnight. (p.s if you can't say it to my face, then it ain't over) [01:23am]

Diane bit her lip in frustration after turning the screen off. After her finals in high school, she'd had a serious car accident and had barely escaped with her life.

The doctors had said it'd been fortunate that she'd been able to escape before the car had blown up. With a few bruises and memory loss, although those memories never seemed to return even after several years.

The person who suffered irreversible casualties was her mother who'd passed away.

A college student who'd identified as her boyfriend at then had come to visit her most of the period in the hospital. Even though she couldn't remember him, he was gentle and warm to her even when she'd had her defenses up. To the point of paying for her hospital bills and even later paying her university tuition.

It was after she'd gotten home that she learned the truth behind the accident. Her father, Braham Franchester had beat her up blaming her for wrecking his car. It turned out that he'd driven her mother mad from constant abuse and she'd ended up drunk driving them both to their deaths.

The car had somersaulted due to overspeeding.

In her anger, she'd attacked her father and ended up getting purple eyes and swollen lips.

With no one else to turn to, she'd called Josh who'd come to give her father a deafening punch before calling the police. He'd been put in prison for five years for domestic violence.

Just long enough for her to graduate.

Although she'd gotten side jobs in an attempt to pay for her fees, the cost was just too high!

"I swear, I'll repay you, Josh". Her arms wrapped around her legs in guilt. Most of the time, she felt like she wasn't the same person from before that accident-

She didn't even recognize herself without her memories!

And those dreams about a strange man, she couldn't tell him over the years. No - it would have hurt him. Not just the fact that it was the same person - but because she enjoyed doing it with him even more than with Josh.

Her feelings for him had literally died after that accident alongside her memories. She'd kept up the farce since there was nowhere else to go-

Anyone else would think she'd merely been using him-

Maybe she was?

"Diane?". Gwen peeped through the door before flipping the light switch on.

"Arghh! My eyes!". Diane whine hurriedly standing to turn off the lights. "Are you trying to blind me?". She tried to sound as unfazed as ever.

"Ohh, sorry baby girl. I told Dave to go easy so we won't wake you". She was silent for a few seconds as her roommate returned to sitting on the floor. "What's wrong? I've never seen you crying". A worried frown formed on her lips as she locked the door behind her.

"What are you talking about?". Diane chuckled. "Who's crying?"

Gwen rolled her eyes in the darkness before sitting to wrap an arm around her friend. "Don't lie to me, is it because of me and Dave? We weren't trying to wake you".

"Ohh shut up!". She slapped her forehead. "It's not like it's the first time you've woken me with your moaning".

"I see". she cupped her chin. "That's a relief then. Is it because we're graduating? Are you gonna miss me that much?".

Gwen Bernard who'd lived with Diane since her second year was a rich French girl who could only manage to keep one boyfriend for a month. Apart from her 'problem' with sticking to one man, Gwen was a cool roommate.

Although she could be quite clueless most of the time.

"Ughh! Why are your fingers so sticky?". Diane slowly turned to face her roommate. "Don't tell me-".

What do y’all think about Gwen?^^. I like her a lot!
