-----------------------------------------

Kuai Liang stood Infront of the shirai ryu gates, pausing to bow for the guards standing watch outside. one of the men shot him a hesitant look. "Grandmaster Liang, we were not told you had plans to visit?"

Kuai had expected some confusion, he expected unease even. The reason he was visiting in the first place was because he hadn't heard from Hanzo hasashi in two days, and that worried the cryromancer. As clingy as it sounded, the two grandmasters were close, they spoke often if not every single day. kuai had helped him rebuild the shirai Ryu, and they train their students together.

silence on hanzos end had unnerved both of the clans.

"Forgive my sudden trespassing, i hope I'm not interrupting, but is grandmaster Hasashi available? i haven't heard from him, i would like to see him." he watched as the guards looked at each other then back to him, one spoke after a moment of silence. "Of course grandmaster Liang. Hasashi is in his office, but he has not ordered us to turn away visitors, so you should be fine."

Kuai just nodded and bowed again before walking past, he was less worried now that he knew where Hanzo was, the man was probably working himself to a second death in his office. He waved and smiled at a few students as he passed by them, but wasted little time socializing as he made his way into the fiery grandmasters home.

He was very familiar with the building, it was in the center of the small clans village, bigger than most of the other houses or shops, and it proudly supported banners and statues with shirai Ryu colors. the inside was well decorated, but average enough. just a warm welcome home.

Taking a short detour to stop in the kitchen, kuai looked around before grabbing a quick snack. It was just an apple, but He knew Hanzo would be hungry, Hasashi had a habit of not taking care of himself. ever.

Kuai made his way down the hallway leading to Hanzos office, it was right across from the grandmasters bedroom, although kuai was sure Hanzo had spent many nights in his office instead of the cozy bed.

Knocking on the door gently, he waited for hanzos voice to call him in. When it came, he opened the door, squinting a little to adjust to the darker environment.

The room wasn't too dark, but it wasn't as bright as the rest of the house, kuai wasn't sure how hanzo could read or write anything in this lighting. "Sub zero. you didn't tell me you were coming?" Hasashi mumbled, half absorbed into whatever letter he was working on. most likely to special forces.

"Well, grandmaster Hasashi. I've been trying to reach you, how do you propose i tell you I'm coming to check on you, when you don't respond?" Kuai smiled a little, his tone playful. The smile turned into a frown however, when the other grandmaster sighed "Kuai, i don't have time for small talk right now. I'm sorry i worried you, but I'm fine. i need to finish this."

Kuai just looked over Hanzo for a moment, the older man looked exhausted. His shoulders were hunched, his eyes looked reddish from strain, his hair was down and a mess, tangled in some places. he didn't look like hanzo. Well, the fun Hanzo at least, kuai had gotten familiar with seeing this sight, but he had never seen Hanzo work himself to the point of seclusion.

"Hanzo, when's the last time you took a break? or ate? or even stretched, come on-" Kuai sighed, Hanzo stopped writing and closed his eyes for a moment, seeming as though he was genuinely trying to think. When he opened his eyes again, Infront of him was an apple, sitting in Kuai liangs outstretched hand.

"Did you go in my kitchen? i know you didn't bring me an apple all the way from arctika." Hanzo cocked his brow, looking up at the younger cryromancer before taking the apple. kuai smiled "a thank you works too, just so you know. you need to take better care of yourself Han, this isn't healthy. I'm worried-"

Hanzo just stared at the apple for a moment, then looked back at kuai, then down at the papers on his desk. Before he could make some defense for himself though, he was interrupted. "Have you forgotten how to eat an apple? come on we have to get you out of this office for a little. even if it's just a walk through the fire gardens."

Kuai held his hand out, hinting that his offer was more of an order. Hanzo looked away for a moment before sighing, taking a bite out of the apple and holding out his free hand out to grab Kuais. "Alright. just a quick walk through the fire garden. then back to work."

"yes, back to work han." kuai grabbed his hand and went to bow and fake a kiss to hanzos hand, an action of mock chivalry. But Hanzo getting up pulled kuai forward a little, turning the fake kiss into real touch.

Kuai shot up immediately, mumbling a fast apology for the unwanted affection. Hanzo stood frozen for a moment, looking down at his hand. "did you just.. kiss me?"

Not being able to read the pyromancers tone unnerved kuai, but he hesitantly and very quietly spoke. "yes. yes i did. and I'm really sorry it was an accid-"

"i think kisses are supposed to be on the mouth."

"what?" Kuai tilted his head, confused on why he was getting corrected by Hanzo of all people, on how to kiss. "I said," Hanzo smiled a little "I think kisses are supposed to be on the mouth. no?"

Now it was Kuais turn to stand frozen, studying hanzos expression to try and understand what exactly he meant by that. Cautiously, he spoke. "Well, may i have another try?"

Hanzo thought over the request for a moment then nodded, setting the apple down on his desk before walking around it to be closer to the younger grandmaster. "You may, please."

The please caught kuai off guard most out of this whole thing, Hanzo hasashi wasn't exactly the type for please. Luckily for the both of them, kuai was so focused on the surge of emotion in his chest he paid little attention to it, instead leaning in to kiss Hanzo.

It was awkward, and stiff, overall unpleasant at first. Hanzo almost seemed scared to kiss back, his whole body was tensed, his hands hovering over Kuais hips and not actually touching them.

Thankfully, it didn't last too long. The icy touch of kuais hands on hanzos back somehow melted through the tension, easing the pyromancer into the kiss, and convincing Hanzo to put his own arms around kuai.

Both of them now wrapped in a tight hug, the kiss deepened, steam rising from the skin on skin contact of harsh opposite temperatures.

The need for air is what finally broke the kiss, although the two kept the embrace strong.

They both just took a moment. A moment to breathe, to catch up to the situation, and to appreciate how beautiful the other looked. It was Hanzo who finally spoke. "so. we- are we still going on that walk now?"

Kuai Liang chuckled, looking away in hopes his blush wasn't too obvious. "Yeah han, let's go on that walk."
