Chapter 13: Warning ll

Chief Zect then realised it was a figure that killed Vale the previous Chief, His thoughts told him to protect this kids from the right hand man of the vampire king. He stops the horse wagon and tells Ray and his friend to escape from here.

Zark finally notice their presence and quickly shift his gaze towards Zect, His gaze sends a chill towards Zect's spine. He knows that Vale has sense his presence, sweat drops from his forehead.

"Ray take your friend and escape from here right now, I know you already sense a powerful being right?"

Without saying a word, Ray told his friends to escape with him even though his friends are confuse he doesn't get any time to explain because his instinct told him to escape from here.

As soon as they escape from the wagon, they sprint to escape from there, Zark notice something and immediately shift his gaze towards Ray and his friends.

After observing for a few seconds he identify that Ray is the one who kill Hartz, He took some interest towards Ray and suddenly he fly towards them with a lightning speed.

Zect who realise Zark are charging towards Ray, immediately block Zark path. Zark stop, He tries to identify a creature that blocked his path and he smile.

"So you were his subordinate right"

"Why are you here what business do you have with those kids"

"Nothing much, I just want to test their, No I mean his power because one of them killed my subordinate you know"

"Like I would let you harm him"

He fly towards Zark with an incredible speed and appear on his face, Zark who realise a punch already appear on his face and he can't react.

Without any resistance, Zark took the full blows that send him down to the ground. But Zect didn't even lower his guard, He slowly descent from the sky and wait for Zark to recover.

"Hahaha you're so mean Zect, But seriously if that blows coated with sun magic I would be injured right now"

Zect didn't reply to him, His thoughts were busy thinking about Ray and wish he wouldn't come back like he did in the past, That was his biggest regret and he didn't want Ray to repeat the same mistake like he did.

He feel relieve after knowing Ray and his friends didn't come back to the battlefield, He shift his gaze towards Zark

"We can finally fight in peace"

"Yeah right, but let me warn you if you lose this fight I will pursue that kid you better win, how about I gave you 3 min if you can hold for 3 minute I will not pursue that kid"

At first Zect want to reject the offer but thinking about Ray and his friend's safety, He can't let Zark pursue them it will be hard if Ray's father know about that.

So Zect accepts the offer he will try to hold for 3 minute in other words, this is an endurance battle. He need to use mana efficiently, if he runs out of mana he will be at great disadvantage.

While Ray and his friends are escaping, Ray try to ask the voice inside his head if he knows anything about the right man. But the voice reply he can defeat the right hand man in 1 minute.

"So why don't you help Chief Zect, It will be a great help."

But the voice explain to Ray why he didn't want to help, He told Ray that it will break his morale and spirit if you defeat the monster that he want to defeat by himself.

Ray finally understand and he can only pray that Chief Zect will be the victor, Ryo finally open his mouth and ask Ray what is happening right now?, Why they're escaping.

"Oh haha about that you guys also sense that strong aura right? Chief Zect currently fought with right now"

Frustrated Ryo ask why they didn't help the chief it could be a 1 vs 5, But Ray explain it why they shouldn't help Chief Zect right now, In this situation they shouldn't interfere the match between.

Zed also agree wih Ray's explanation, But Ryo didn't want to sit down and relax while Chief got to fight the monster. So he sprint pass them and headed towards the battlefield.

But suddenly a flash appear in front of Ryo

"Sorry but I can't let you do that"

He knocked Ryo unconscious, What a pain if he escape and go to the battlefield Chief would be at disadvantage if Ryo interere their fight, because Chief can't fight while protecting someone.

The two of them was shocked after hearing someone is actually standing behind them. Ray and Zed hug each other because of the figure suddenly appear on their back

Fang gigle a bit and show them some magic, Fang chant the spell and a screen like appear in front them and showing them tha battle between Chief and the right hand man.

"So you guys can watch it without getting closer to the battlefield"

Ray and Zed eye focus on the screen, they watch it calmly while Ryo laying on the ground unconscious.

On the battlefield they already exchange some blows and some magic blast. But none of them seems weakened, blows after blows Zect finally staggered a bit

'Tch please hold on a little longer'

Zect thoughts, but Zark didn't even give a chance to catch his breath; he keep pummeling Zect. But Zect is ready to counter, he just needs the right timing to throw his puch.

A direct hit to Zark chin and it's a strong one, Zark also staggered after receiving powerful blows. Zark claps his hand this is the second time he got injured. He can't help himself but to clap because of his admiration.

A word of gratitude come out from Zark's mouth, But he also ready for something or maybe his trump card? Yes it is, he take out his dagger from the box that his subordinate carry.

But he's not the only one who is ready for this. Zect also draw his short sword, He then coated his sword with sun magic. The weakness of a vampire ironically Zect is also a vampire so getting stabbed by his own sword can be dangerous.

With 1 minute left until the battle is over, The air become more dense. Both of them steadily their breathing and

The sword and dagger collide, But none of the strike connect it just collide each.

Ray and the other who are watching from a screen are shocked to know the Chief's identity, But they already know the truth. Even his bodyguards didn't know that Chief is a vampire.

On the battlefield, they both finally managed to land some strike to their opponent's body.

"This is the end!"

The timer stops, Zect blade stop in the nicked time as the timer rings. Sme goes for Zark, He also stopped his dagger before it reach Zect's neck.

"Good job enduring for 3 minutes, But don't think you're safe now, I just want to warn you if you ever interfere with my king business I will not hesitate to slice you"

Hearing that warning, Zect can only nod he know that the timer was his savior. If it's an all out battle he will lose. Seeing his enemy escape from the battlefield made him frustrated.

He slowly fell to the ground. The fatigue is real, He is glad that he survive this and got to live another day. Ray and Zect bodyguards rush towards Zect who is laying on the ground.

"What a nice breeze hehe"

He broke the grief situation, But he feel happy, happy to see his subordinate and the others are safe.
