Asahi squinted at Obito, "Are you saying that with a guilty conscience? Regardless of how strong you become in the future, based on your current performance, you don't seem to match up to a genius, right?"

"I don't care about what you think; I care about what I think. I believe Shisui has good talent, so I want to take him as my disciple," Asahi said leisurely, showing no signs of urgency due to Shisui's rejection.

So, Obito didn't detect any issues in Asahi's words.

The moment Obito heard Asahi express his intention to take Shisui as a disciple, Obito's eyes immediately lit up.

Both Shisui and Obito are orphans, but at least Obito has a grandmother. What about Shisui?

In Obito's eyes, within the entire Konoha, aside from the Hokage, Asahi was the best choice for a mentor.

No one could surpass him; even the legendary Sannin would fall slightly short, given that strength speaks for itself.

"What!! Rejected?! Shisui, what's going on?"

Obito asked Shisui in shock.

"Well, Obito, I didn't know your Master before, and I didn't have much information about him."

Plus, I was afraid the clan wouldn't approve, so I declined," Shisui said, rubbing his head and feeling a bit embarrassed.

Upon hearing this, Obito helplessly rubbed his cheek. "Sensei, I think you should give Shisui another chance. 

He's just a kid and probably doesn't understand your exceptional qualities. Isn't that understandable?"

As he spoke, even Obito felt a bit unsure.

Asahi, such a prominent figure, had approached Shisui willingly. 

Shisui declined and now wants to reconsider—it seems like he's not giving due respect to the strength and status of a powerful individual.

He believes that helping others is more important than his own affairs.

He knows what choices are right and which ones will leave regrets.

However, when it comes to his own decisions, he always chooses the path that others may deem unworthy but is the most meaningful to him.

"Give him another chance?"

Asahi raised an eyebrow at Obito, and his tone didn't reveal whether it was an approval or a refusal.

It was as if this matter had nothing to do with him; he was just a curious onlooker.

Obito was already feeling a bit guilty, and upon hearing Asahi's words, he instinctively thought that Asahi was angry.

He opened his mouth but didn't know what to say.

On the side, Shisui, seeing Obito in a dilemma, wanted to speak up and assure him that it's okay; he wasn't really eager to have a mentor anyway.

Excited, he straightened his body, "Definitely would agree, right, Shisui?"

Saying that, Obito pulled Shisui over and gave him a meaningful look.

Surprisingly, looking at the two figures in front of him, Asahi felt that Obito, as an elder brother, did quite well.

However, I asked Shisui, so why are you answering?

Shisui was also helpless; he found it embarrassing to have such a brother. Why did Obito have to act so immature? After all, we should maintain the dignity of the Uchiha clan in Konoha, right?
