Chapter 62: Ninja Academy

Minato swore he wasn't sour, but if this continued endlessly, he might miss the graduation ceremony at the Ninja Academy.

Yesterday, Asahi mentioned he wanted to attend the Ninja Academy's graduation ceremony, and Minato, out of good intentions, suggested they should head there.

"Cough, cough, Kushina, it's getting late. We should head to the Ninja Academy now. Otherwise, we might miss the students' sparring matches."

Upon hearing this, Kushina had a sudden realization, and she lowered her raised fist.

Yes, today wasn't the time for daydreaming about the future. She should hurry and accompany her master to the Ninja Academy.

"The Ninja Academy?" Asahi questioned. "So early?"

It had only been daylight for a short while. Were the graduation ceremonies at the Ninja Academy always this early?

"Yes, students are going to have matches, and with so many of them, it will take quite some time," Kushina explained nonchalantly.

That made sense to Asahi. In times of conflict, the students' graduation was determined through practical assessments.

"True, let's head there quickly."

Asahi nodded and rose from his seat.

"Yeah."

Kushina and Minato agreed in unison.

The inn where Asahi stayed wasn't far from the Ninja Academy, so they quickly arrived.

Upon entering the academy, Asahi felt the bustling atmosphere. 

Unlike yesterday's casual stroll, numerous ninja and civilians had gathered today to witness the talents of the Ninja Academy's graduates.

Many clan leaders with various intentions also made their way here.

In the training grounds where the students were being assessed, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had just finished his speech.

Seeing Asahi and his companions, he warmly waved them over, inviting them to watch the students' matches.

As the Hokage, Hiruzen's every move was under scrutiny. Now, he was actively waving! Who were these people?

Asahi casually accepted the invitation of Hiruzen Sarutobi, along with Kushina and Minato, to watch the proceedings. 

With a light chuckle, he headed towards the elevated platform where Hiruzen stood.

As Asahi moved, the crowd instinctively made way for him. All the major clan leaders in Konoha were silently speculating about Asahi's identity. 

Though not entirely clear, someone treated with such respect by the Hokage couldn't be ordinary.

Regardless of the future, they decided not to provoke him if possible. This sentiment echoed in the hearts of everyone present.

Not only the spectators but also the students preparing for the matches diverted their attention towards Asahi. 

A boy with goggles nudged the girl next to him and asked with a silly smile, "Rin, who do you think he is? Why is the Hokage so polite to him?"

This boy was none other than Obito Uchiha, a prominent member of the Uchiha clan and later one of the masterminds behind the scenes in the ninja world. 

The girl, unfortunately, was Rin Nohara.

Hearing Obito's question, Rin shook her head in confusion. "I don't know. But given the Hokage's attitude and the fact that he's accompanied by Minato-san and Kushina-san, he must be a significant figure."

"Heh, really? Rin, you're quite knowledgeable. I don't recognize the two people accompanying him."

Obito scratched his head, laughing at Rin, his eyes almost closing to slits.

"Tsk, Obito, we're about to graduate. At least get to know some of our top ninjas in Konoha. Maybe one of them will be our mentor."

A black-haired girl walked up to Rin, linking her arm with hers, and with an expression of helplessness, said to Obito

"Come on, Obito. We're becoming ninjas soon. Don't you remember gathering information is part of our duties? It's not that hard to find out about such famous figures!"

As the two conversed, a young man and woman approached from a distance. 

The man had a handsome appearance, and upon closer inspection, bore some resemblance to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The girl had a thick black hair, with striking red pupils, and a hint of baby fat on her face, which unexpectedly made her look somewhat adorable.

The newcomers were Asuma Sarutobi and Yuhi Kurenai. It's hard to believe that the future bearded uncle and the aloof lady were once this young. 

Asuma took the lead in the conversation due to his outgoing personality.

Obito, who got along well with Asuma because of their personalities, couldn't help but complain, "What? Am I the only one who doesn't know?"

Hearing Asuma's words, Obito grumbled in disbelief. Seeing Obito's reaction, Rin chuckled, causing Obito to immediately adopt a goofy expression.

Observing this, Asuma couldn't help but look at Obito with disdain. 

"I can't deal with you. Let me tell you. The red-haired one is named Kushina Uzumaki. She's said to be from the Uzumaki clan and is highly skilled in sealing jutsu and taijutsu. She has a fiery personality, and rumor has it that many male ninjas can't beat her. They even call her the Red-Hot Habanero!"

As Rin spoke, a trace of admiration appeared in her eyes. "Moreover, Kushina Uzumaki is said to be the most promising female ninja to surpass Lady Tsunade!"

Tsunade is, of course, the renowned first lady of the Leaf, an idol for all the women in Konoha. 

Being considered the most likely to surpass Tsunade has naturally garnered Kushina a considerable fanbase.

"As for the blond one, he's called Minato Namikaze, disciple of Lord Jiraiya, also a rising elite Jonin! Both of them dream of becoming Hokage! And, uh, there seems to be something going on between them... hehe."

With a sly smile, Rin raised her two thumbs.

Hearing Rin's words, Obito nodded. He memorized the information about the two because they would be his rivals in the race to become Hokage.

Seeing Rin blush, Obito felt embarrassed himself. "Oh god, I'm so dead!"

He couldn't believe there was such an adorable girl. As he watched Rin blush, Obito even started thinking about how he would marry her in the future. He wished time could freeze at this moment.

Unfortunately, Yuhi Kurenai's words brought him back to reality. "Yes, although they are competitors, the romance between them is so romantic!"
