With a frown on his face, Captain Carlson looked into the distance.
"They are coming," he said in a grim tone.
"who?" Frankenstein asked
Frankenstein knew that the guards were not liked inside the undercity, but not to the point that people would come after them.
But the truth was laid bare before him.
Just like Carlson, Frankenstein too could hear the foot steps in the distance
There were a lot.
Seeing this Frankenstein couldn't help but wonder:
"Who did you offend?" he thought.
The expression on the captain's face said it all.
He wasn't confused as to why they were coming for him; he just had an annoyed expression on his face.
"What do we do?" Frankenstein asked
Seeing his previous question ignored, Frankenstein chose to ask something else.
"hm?" Frankenstein turned around to look once more.
But they were already gone.
"what the…" Frankenstein was stunned.
"They ran," he thought.
"How is it possible for them to leave without me noticing?" Frankenstein mused
