Awakening of a Terrifying Beast Worse Than The Devil

Alisa entered the small forest just behind her house while heading towards the lake, pretending to not notice the hostie gaze aimed at her. It seemed that the malicious one followed her. There was no doubt that it was probably in the same group as the one she had killed last night. The other person that had been observing her didn't dare to follow her but he would also get her fair share later on. Alisa had enough of these bothersome people. It was time to vent out her frustrations.

As she had covered a few meters away from the house now where no one would be able to see what she would do, she stopped in her tracks and spoke. "I know you are following me. Why don't we end this little spying game already?"

The man was surprised. He slowly walked out while holding a dagger in his hand. "As expected of a martial arts expert. I really can't take you lightly, can I?"

"Who sent you?"

"Sorry, but knowing anything when you're about to die won't do you any good." The man spun the dagger in his hand before gripping it hard. He rushed towards her and aimed for a stab.

"So you have chosen the hard way. That's just great." Her face cracked into a sadistic smile that made the man shudder. She knew that the man wasn't really aiming to kill her. He was targeting for her tendons to make her immobile, but it didn't matter whether he wanted to kill her or not. In the face of her absolute skills, the only path awaiting them was death.

She didn't even bother dodging. Alisa just raised her fingers and caught the tip of the blade.

"Impossible!" The man exclaimed with a horrified expression.

"Got you..."

Her soft whisper sent chills running down his spine. His thoughts were invaded with a sense of dread and hopelessness as Alisa grabbed his throat and slammed him violently to the ground, producing a loud booming noise and making it crack.

"Gahhh!" The man vomited blood violently and a few bits of his smashed internal organs. With just that one attack, his bones were crushed easily like twigs.

"How would it feel like if I start pulling out your fingers one by one? Soon, I will also gauge out your eyes out of their sockets. Ah, that would be delightful~" Alisa's expression had gone crazy as she let out a maniacal laugh that scared the man to death.

"No, no, stay away from me you monster!" He desperately screamed and tried to crawl his way out, but Alisa grinned evilly and stomped on his right ankle.

Snap!

The sound of bones breaking was clearly heard. The man let out a bloodcurdling scream and passed out.

"Tch! We're not done yet. How dare you go to sleep without my permission?!" Her angry voice erupted and she used a special technique that targeted a specific acupoint of the man's body. She infused inner energy on her finger and the man was jolted awake.

"We're going to continue the torture. Don't you dare sleep on me again or you're in for a much greater pain~"

"Spare me— Ahhhh!" His screams became high-pitched like he was a slaughtered pig as Alisa violently tore off his pinky finger. Blood spurted out from the severed section like crazy, making him wince in unbearable pain. However, he didn't pass out no matter how painful it was. Alisa's inner energy prevented him from doing so. He thought he had encountered an entity worse than the devil himself.

Alisa turned her head towards where the other person was hiding and gave a smile that looked so beautiful but at the same time horrifying enough to give him a palpitating heart.

Jude, who was observing from afar, paled in fear. He gulped and immediately dialed Raphkiel's number.

"R-Raphkiel, Alisa has gone mad! You have to go and stop her or I'll be the next one she'll torture."

"What happened?" His composed voiced echoed through the speaker.

"There was another martial arts expert who had been tailing her. Right now, she is having so much fun torturing the guy with a crazy smile on her face. You have to go and stop her before she loses all reason—"

The call was abruptly ended as a flying knife hit the phone with precision, snapping it into halves. with ease. Jude's hand was also slight cut by the knife. He groaned in pain as he held his bloodied hand while looking at the direction where Alisa was standing. Did she just throw a knife at him and successfully hit his phone despite their distance was around twenty meters away from each other? She was truly a monster. He turned around and saw that the knife didn't only stop at the tree behind him. It even penetrated towards the other side, forming a slight hole in the trunk of the tree. Large beads of sweat trickled from his forehead as a sense of foreboding despair enveloped him.

Meanwhile, Raphkiel frowned at the sudden loss of connection. Something probably happened to Jude. He had to hurry or Alisa would truly kill him. He was currently in a board meeting right now, but he abruptly stood from his seat, gaining strange looks from the board members, but he didn't care. "Something important has happened so I'll be taking my leave now. Meeting adjourned."

He rushed out without waiting for their replies. He even ignored the pleas to make him stay since there was a deal they had to make for the current plans of advancement in the company's technology. However, Jude's life was more important to him. He couldn't afford to lose a capable and trusted distant cousin and bodyguard. Moreover, he was worried about Alisa's sanity. The woman was like an unpredictable bomb that could blow out anytime soon.

Riding on his Bugatti La Voiture Noire, he sped off towards the Golden Pavilion Garden and arrived in less than ten minutes due to fully throttling his car's maximum speed. He hoped that Jude would be able to hold his candle against her until he arrived. He checked Jude's last location and it directed him towards a small forest near a lake.

Upon arriving there, he felt a slight relief after seeing that Jude was still alive with only a slight cut on his hand.

"What took you so long? She's almost finished and she would be tormenting me next." Jude complained and his legs buckled the moment he saw Raphkiel. He was really scared to death. Despite knowing martial arts, he wasn't nearly as proficient as his distant cousin. There was no way he could contend against a monstrous being like Alisa.

"You can go back now. I'll handle this." Raphkiel reassured him and looked towards the two people from afar.

He frowned upon seeing a bloody and gory scene. Alisa's smile was now deranged while having fun pulling out the man's fingers one by one. Despite already extracting the information she needed, she didn't stop torturing the man. He was already close to death and he could no longer scream as his voice was too hoarse. He silently muttered with a tired expression. His eyes were hollowed since Alisa had gouged them out.

"Kill... me...."

Alisa grinned widely and was about to deliver the final strike by pulling out his head from his spinal cord, but her hand stopped as Raphkiel prevented her from doing so.

"Enough, Alisa."

Alisa had never felt so annoyed in her life. She wondered why all these people kept on interrupting her. She was already planning to live in peace but the world didn't want to stop. She had to kill everyone in order to achieve the peace she longed for. She turned around with a murderous glare, but her expression was instantly replaced with shock and bewilderment when she saw him. Her mind was trying to digest the scene before her as to why Raphkiel suddenly appeared here. Her bewilderment was soon replaced by embarrassment and guilt as she remembered how she had forced herself upon him. Her face blushed furiously and she tried to avert her gaze from him.

"Wh-what are you doing here?" She asked in a soft voice that was barely audible.

"It's okay... I'm here now." He pulled her gently into an embrace.

She was stunned. How in the world did she get herself into this situation? She wished she could find a whole and bury her head deep to hide her shame. She wanted to say something but no words came out from her mouth. Her eyes teared up upon the realization that he was trying to comfort her and prevent her from going into a rampage. Her stifled sobs were becoming louder. Raphkiel couldn't bear to see her in such a devastated state. He really admired this woman from the day they met in the battlefield and yet, he never would have thought she was so fragile. It seemed that she was just a normal girl who had been changed greatly by the cruel reality imposed on her by the world.

He sighed while he patted her back. He then silently glared at Jude, who was still there. He didn't leave immediately, fearing that something would happen to his cousin in the hands of this crazy woman. However, his fears were really unfounded. Raphkiel was able to tame the woman with just his presence. Something definitely happened between the two of them but he couldn't gossip at this improper time. Seeing Raphkiel's cold glare, he knew what he had to do. He swiftly dragged the man Alisa had tortured away and disposed him before making a call.

Raphkiel had Jude investigated the recent events from last night and the clues led them towards Steve Huang, a tyrant in the underworld. They were the only who ones who had appeared in the scene, but they knew someone else was also pulling the strings from behind. In the end, Jude destroyed the surveillances before anyone could dig out any information out of them. It was better to be careful since Raphkiel had made many enemies during his reign in the Arnor family.

A great change happened in the city. In just a single day, Steve's business heavily plummeted as the authorities discovered his illegal activities, forcing his companies to shut down and all of his bank accounts were frozen. He was arrested for multiple crimes such as being involved in rape, kidnapping, fraud, and many more cases. His life had ended miserably in jail without Alisa's knowing.
