The bounty and the Ork

May 15th 2026 Gate of Harkin.

After 5 hours of driving Charlie team makes it to harkin. Waiting to enter the town. Jackson gets on the radio. Robert, Richard on me for a meeting. Jackson then contact Samantha. This is Charlie team lead to actual over. This is actual go ahead Charlie team lead. We are about to enter the city. Requesting reaper drones for scouting and overwatch over. One moment over. Three reaper drones are on approach over. Will be in the area with in the hour. Roger that actual. Who will be our rescue team in case of worst case scenario. First cavalry divisions, first brigade combat team. They are camped in the south east wood line it will take 15 min for there relief forces to act you would have to hold your position till then. There will be two super A10s a F35, and three Apaches will be diverted to your location for close air support. Roger that actual Charlie team lead out. Robert and Richard make it to Jackson's command striker. Jackson looks to the two of them ok gentlemen here's the plan and back up plan in case a worst case scenario happens. We will drop off the 18 prisoners to the guards Richard I'm going to leave that to you I want you to take Lex and those girls who accompany him and Lamar and Hector then regroup on us. Robert you will be with me going straight to the mansion with everyone else. When we get there it will be me Robert, Rebecca, Zoe and Ivy. I want the the vehicles in a defensive position with Rachel, Ashley, and Michael. Easy dismount easy Mount up we're not taking any chances here. I want those three to stay close to the Michael stays on the 50 Ashley on the 30 and Rachel behind the wheel. Our little fairy friends says we could trust them but we are going to keep them at arm's length for now. Richard when you regroup on us you'll be in command of the outside while the delegation is going on inside the mansion. I want a defensive perimeter around our vehicles do not let anybody come near our vehicles. I don't want them touching or stealing any of our equipment. Both Robert and Richard. Roger that sir. Okay let's get this done. He gets on his radio. Lex I need to see you really quick. Lex gets off the 50 cal and runs to Jackson with Risa on his right shoulder. Lieutenant colonel wanted to see me. Jackson walks up and puts his arm around his neck making Risa to fly away in front of them. Jackson goes in close to whisper into Lex's ear. Hey you still getting a bad feeling? Lex nods. Yes sir getting this chill run up my spin sir. Jackson nods. Ok so this is what I want you to do. I want you to grab yourM24 and be ready to find an overwatch spot. Grab Johnny inform him he'll be your spotter. We're not going to let our guard down just in case. Roger that sir. Ok let's get to it. Lex runs up to Johnny to inform him. Johnny nods. Hey you still getting a bad feeling? Lex nods. I'm getting this strange feeling we are being watched. Johnny starts cautiously looking around. It's really hard but we are being watched by those guards on the top of that wall. And I bet there are some in the towers over there. With out pointing he tilts his head to the side to one of the towers. Lex nods but he closes his eyes then breaths deeply in and out. That's the thing can't pinpoint it right now. But I'm feeling malice within the city. Stay on your toes get your gear together. You find a OverWatch position we'll have to secure it. Johnny nods. Richard walks up Lex get your girls and come with me. Lex looks over to Richard and nods. Roger that Sarge on it. Johnny looks to Richard. Hey Sarge is it possible that you can keep an eye out for possible OverWatch positions. Just in case. Richard nods. Yah lieutenant Colonel isn't taking any chances here. And we have a sizable Force ready to step in. In case the panic button is pushed. Johnny nods who will drive the striker if I'm going to do OverWatch with Lex? Richard with his right hand points his thumb to himself. That will be me. Now get into your positions. Richard gets on his radio. Hector get that trailer with the prisoners up here it's time to trade them in. Lamar on me. Lex get your girls let's go. Over the radio he hears them confirm his orders. And starts walking to the gate guards.

As Lex gets to the girls looks at them and then realizes what Richard just said. And then gets embarrassed. Why the hell did he call them my girls. Risa flys close to lex's face. Hey why are you so red? Well I just realized that everybody refers to all you girls as my girls. Risa tilt her head to the side confused. Well aren't we? Lex a little taken back at her response. Well I didn't think about that. Wait what you all are my girls? Risa smiles and nods her head vigorously! Of course first Izzy then there's me then there is Kimiko and Silph! O and Lulu but I think she like to stick to the girl Ashley. Lex is confused by that. But shakes his head. Ok we will have to talk about this later right now we have to give the prisoners to the guards and then head to the mansion. They move to the JLTV he hopes in to the back and see all the girls sitting there talking and they look and wave at him. Hey girls we are going to drop off the prisoners. Can you come with me? They all nod and step out Lex grabs his M24 and slings it to his back. He looks and see Lulu. Hey Lulu can you come here for me? She comes over to Lex. Yes how many I help? Can you scout out a overwatch for me and Johnny. Lulu nods her head. I can do that I know this town a little bit I can see if those im acquainted with are still here. She then looks over to Ashley and waves. Ashley waves back with a slight blush. I'll be right back. Lex looks at her and then to Ashley with one of his eyebrows cocked up. Ok probably hear about something about that later. Any ways he walks with the girls and Richard to the guards at the gate of the town. Richard puts a hand up introducing himself to the guard. As Richard talks to the guards about the bandits Lex looks over his shoulder and sees Kimiko and Silph look at the rifle on his back. You ok girls? They stop looking at the rifle and back at Lex. Kimiko thinks of what she wants to say. Why do you have that rifle on your back and still carrying your regular one? Lex looks down at his M5 and back at Kimiko well one is my standard rifle and the other one is for precision shooting. I have the one on my back in case I need to find a OverWatch position to snipe out targets of interest. Meaning everyone in the way of my team. Giving them cover and pointing out targets at a different angle that they don't see and coordinating with Rebecca on the ground for coordinates for artillery and Air strikes. My main job is sniper. Johnny is too but I'm better then he is. Lex chuckles after saying that. Silph then thinks about it. So what's that long tube thing on the top of the rifle? Lex looks at her and smiles it's called a scope and it helps me in the rifle but I can also aim their rifle at long distances. Silph looks at surprised. Ok then how far can you shoot it? Lex looks at her and then looks to his left and points to the tree line in the distance. Just within the tree line over there. Both Silph and Kimiko look to where he is pointing and go wide-eyed and gasp. That's amazing! I can't believe it! Izzy chuckles and tells them about how exactly it works and Lex ads and more for contacts. Telling them about the more complex computer systems that go in with the Scopes in this day and age. Telling it in a way that they can understand or give the night at least a vague understanding. Risa no longer surprised about the technology people from the other world have. Is still impressed because of how complex it is to be a sniper in their military. She's even more impressed that Lex is able to do all the math in his head and able to fire off one shot without missing. As they were chatting Richard and Hector walk up. All right let's get these prisoners out of that little cell and to the guards. The head gate guard calls more guards over to help police the 18 bandits. Lex was walking to the door as he was about to open the door. He hears a low grunt and he looks up. He sees the big green Ork he wounded and captured. Don't work staring at Lex and Lex stairs right back with no fear. The fuck you looking ugly? The Ork raises an eyebrow. What is your name boy? Lex not sure how he wants to respond. Lex looks at him then looks at everyone else then back at him. That's a wicked stupid ass name! Call your self Long John dumbass instead. Now get out of the cell and get moving you idiot. Lex grabs the Gorrash by his right tusk and pulls and throws him out of it and to the ground. Now get up and walk that way or I will make do so and you really don't want that right now I'm on the clock and don't have time for your dumbass right now. After that some time passes and the guards come up to Richard and Hector. Four of them had big bounty's and two hand minor bounty's all together that is 160 arrds they hand the bag off to them and inside was was 10 gold coins 30 silver coins 50 large copper coins and 9 small copper coins. Richard looks at it looks up and thanks the man. Richard looks at everybody else and says all right guys it's time to load up let's go get to that mansion.
