The boy longs for his father and dreams of the day he will come back and save them all. The boy named Song is told that his father has died in a war and that he is now doomed to a life as a slave. The boy is subjected to abuse and neglect as he is forced to live as a slave. Though he accomplished many things in his career, he soon realizes that it wasn't enough. Finally, he's given the chance to save his family. This is a story of a father's love, sacrifice and life.Song was a high school dropout and his father was his only means of support. When his father left, Song struggled to find a job, but he soon found a way to make a living. Song started a small business selling rice balls in the street and he eventually turned it into a successful business. Song's success allowed him to buy his mother a house and send his siblings to school.Song was only five years old when his father left. His father was a North Korean soldier and he left to join the South Korean army. Song's mother was forced to take care of him and his younger brother and sister by herself. Song learned how to cook and how to survive on his own while he was growing up. He also learned how to steal food from restaurants and stores. He was very lucky that he had a kind heart and would give food away to people who needed it. Song also learned how to be brave and take care of himself in tough situations. He eventually escaped North Korea and came to South Korea, where he met his mother, sister, and brother. My name is Lee-Jong and I'm a North Korean refugee. I was born in Pyongyang, North Korea, but my family fled to China when I was just two years old. We lived there for six years until we finally made our way to South Korea. In South Korea, I became an orphan at the age of eight. I found a foster family who took me in and gave me a good education. I graduated high school and got accepted into college. I've been working as a computer programmer for four years now. I don't know what I'd do without my family and friends. They are always there for me no matter what.
